I find it ironic how there's an authoritarian TV at 0:18. Also, I started playing Sim City back around 2000 with Simcity 2000 (It came with my old, OLD Windows 95 computer.), I liked it so much that I got SC3000, SC3000 Unlimited, and Simcity 4 (With the expansion pack). I must say, Societies is great, but it's not bad, it's just different. I just love building a city with a certain style, then putting some ironic buildings into it (Once I put a Ministry of Propaganda into a fun city)

I've never playes SCS but I am awesome at SC4 but it just looks like EA fucked this one up.

I have to agree with everyone else, Simcity 4 is much better, I bought the simcity box, intalled all of it, I have only played simcity societies twice..

too boring, not challenging at all.

I think Simcity 4 is better then societies. I like the core gameplay better (zoning etc.) I think its more relistic than every building having a bonus that sometimes makes no sense. But i do love societies graphics!

the good thing about tropico is that you can do communist/capitalist as well

of course this game trumps it in graphics, but tropico 3 holds promise! =D

I prefer creating "Utopian" cities. Usually I create a futuristic city but I try and keep them nice-looking with plenty of green areas. And not a capitalist in sight.

Are there any seaports or intercity trade in this game? The coastlines of this so-called capitalistic city have no docks and the sea is bereft of ships.
