  • bull over here in australia there all biug and fatts but there is a lot of pretty gurls

  • Tongan taualuga may be more "fixed" with the space, but it is by far the more graceful one. It's amazing.

  • Hrm Id have to disagree with you there lol Tongans have more movements and in this particular video its not as graceful as other Tau`olungas I have seen. But the Samoan Taualuga is always graceful, sliding no stepping haha

  • since when saw money introduced into the Tongan dance? 1990s? LOL

Sad what white man has done Sad.

  • 1960s. Its been around for a while. Churches would be broke if this wasn't the case.

  • AULELEI I'A! BEAUTIFUL!

Although I am Samoan I appriciate the gathering of Family and celebration. Being that we our Cousins by the Sea, I always had DEEP RESPECT for our Tongan Brothers and sister. Malo Lelei! FA'AFETAI TELE LAVE for posting this WONDERFUL Clip! :-)

  • In the end "KOE OTUA MO TONGA KO HOKU TOFI'A" one love to everyone!!!!

  • sorry but i'm posting one last thing, youtubsgal, i have nothing but love for ya. just wanted to clear that up, i have enjoyed our discussion and it is good to discuss something with someone who does not jump to cussing and cursing. Malo e anga faka'apa'apa. Ofa atu ki he feitu'u na, Much love in Christ.....

  • You are right. I am looking at it from a political point of you and you are looking at in respect to the culture. We are both right in our own ways...regardless if I remark the culture as stupid. I've got nothing but love and respect for you too. Have a great weekend! HAPPY FATHERS DAY to you and ALL!

  • look we will not agree and i don'w want to keep posting back and forth. we should agree to disagree. You don't like the tradition and think it is irrelevant, i think the opposite. The va does create some of the things you say but majority of the time i see it done out of love or ofa don't make it out to be an all bad thing. This is why i am saying stop generalizing things, it is not fair to us that still conduct ourselves in a responsible manner regarding our traditons. malo. one love.

  • But back to the tau'olunga, It is good to see the Polynesian people get together and celebrate a happy occasion. Malo, malo e faiva moe malo tau'olunga, it is still as beautiful as it always has, and many people I know, including myself, still look at the tau'olunga and see it for the beauty and gracefulness of the "haka" or movements and still appriciate the dancer for how she is doing.... this is not stupid... malo and one love

  • If the world suffered a massive earthquake today would tongans be the only ones to give of what they have because of the "va" that tradition supposedly establishes? I think not, in those dire circumstances people from all sorts of cultures and from all walks of life and without our traditions will give naturally. "Va" is only an excuse, the real reason is fame and glory and deep down inside you know its true.

  • youtubsgal, In my religion, I am Christian, you are told to give, material wealth here on earth is useless, you are born naked and you will die naked. Maybe, we as polynesians, are not the most wealthy, but we have a rich family structure, rich heritage, and rich culture. Other's may have the money, we have the famili, the "va." They are there to cry with you when you need them. To laugh with you when you need them. I rather keep my tau'olunga with the fakapale and have close ties with my

  • Koe "va" is what our people fight and compete against each other for the most. Its what creates problems in our communities...the elements used to establish alliance with other families is what causes gossip and enmity towards each other. I suggest you dig deep into the surface of your argument before replying. Is the alliance truly established? or are we giving for fame and glory? hmmm dont fake the funk- be real!

  • this type of "gift giving" is a hazard in a community that is not self reliant...do not have steady jobs or an education. Im LDS and in my faith Christ teaches in his gospel for his children to be self reliant. This tradition takes away from self reliance. Taolunga no longer focuses on the virtue and beauty of the dancer, but rather the value of the giver.

  • Palangis (as well as other cultures) can make it without all this NOISE, why cant we??? We give thousands of dollars and people in other cultures who dont practice the same tradition still end up on top...there is something wrong with that picture. Maybe it isnt wise to give to those who are capable of providing for themselves. Otherwise, the nature of giving is in Vein.

  • All mouth yapping aside below, this is a beautiful taualuga tribute to the Tongan wedding couple. Much 'ofa to our polynesian culture. Let polynesian pride stay beautiful within and keep the hatred and ignorance out of our garden.

If you have something to say, how about something good so we can look up to. Sometimes i think people forget Polynesian respect. Know your role!

  • you only comment this way because you have no way of incorporating your thoughts into the argument without having people here all day to read about it. Ive read your posts on other vblogs and quite frankly your intelligence is so old school...no offense.

  • To whom are you addressing this? People need old school because too many people, I will not mention any names, don't know how to act, or in Tongan fu'u lahi ae kau anga'i vale/manu he oku ikai ako'i ehe matua ae fanau ke nau ilo ae "old school" pe koe anga oku totonu pe oku lelei.....

  • Ke iloi oku mooni ho lau fekauaki moe anga'i vale/manu. But have you ever considered that the reason children act this way is because parents dont have the time to "parent" their children? Oku alu e nau tokanga kinautolu kihe ngaahi koloa, pe kohai oku sio mai. I can tell you would eventually parent the same way...no matter how much you deny it...its culture lol something you are quite zealous about.

  • LOL..you say "old" like it isn't inevitable. We all age. You age too! ...no offense. Its good to know i have a fan or a hater. Whatever the case, this is me incorporating a thought to not so much of an argument. LMAO.

  • I'm 22 years old so take my childish remarks however way you please =).

  • Yes dear child. You still have plenty of growing up to do.

To deny your culture is to deny your heritage.

I wish you the world and success, but never forget your roots.

    God Bless.

  • Im "denying" my culture you moronic embassol..I am insulting it! Next time you try to use a passive aggressive tone with make sure you know what you're talking about. You'll only make contine to trot the path most uneducated cats like yourself trot and thats the path of ignorance!

  • p.s. good luck to you my friend...you need it!

  • btw I meant to say that I'm NOT "denying" my culture.... Yeah but I'm sure you have the intelligent quotients to figure that out. good day!

  • You get angry so easily that stupidity quickly comes pouring out of your mouth. First, continue your "schooling" because you will need it! Second, chill out and shut the fuck up because i think your too stupid to even know what i am saying. Third, "embassol" << LMFAO ...you are such an imbecile for even trying to come across as an intelligent person. Chill out, this is ONLY youtube dumbass! Enough said for you. Your path is lost and muddled.

  • stupid knows obscene language. My path is lost and muddled? lol Can't sound anymore FOB thn that! Thanks for the spelling lesson teacher you are an embassol!

  • Actually the newly weds were both Samoan, but the girl's step father was Tongan. He raised her from her childhood. That's why it was such a beautiful wedding. Both cultures came together for a single purpose, to celebrate the love.

  • and please.....advise your ownself and the Tongans to get out of the ghetto that they're in and become something rather than just bragging..............!!

  • It seems like you're the one bragging now, And YOU know very well that Tongans are NOT the only race in the ghetto, let us not get started please, have a good day bro and One love...

  • Nice dance ta'ahine... and f.y.i. there is no Tongan money dance. This is fakapale and is derived from an anciet tradition of givin tapa and fine mats. As for the arguing, I think you all need to check some facts, on both sides. But we all Poly, whether we were once all Tongan or Samoan, we are all one - Polynesian and need to stop the fighting between us over old sh&T and look to the future. We need to better ourselves and get our people out of the ghetto (thinkn and livin). One love all.

  • Good advise for Vaipato and the Tongans....!

  • it was advice to all of you... not just vaipato and the Tongans.... one love... keep the peace...

  • good advise....you don't need to advise me!...I know my facts....and the truth!.....good thoughts!

  • its living for stupid traditions like these that keep tongans in the ghetto. although your point is relevant in cultural significance, I dont see any relevance in it as a society in general.

  • You need to word your comment correctly. This is not a stupid tradition, gift giving is done in every culture and don't act all high and mighty by trying to say this is a stupid traditon. 2nd, there are a lot of reasons why PEOPLE are in the ghetto, giving beyond ones means might be one but there are a whole lot of reasons. 3rd, you no NOTHING of Tongan culture and the importance of community and "tauhi va." I suggest you go look that up and then you will realize the importance of traditions

  • You are old school. Sad thing is just by your old school perception I already know where your children and their children's future lies...in the gutter. Im not denying that culture is important, so dont get me wrong. I feel that it is imperative for one to understand ones culture. To LIVE for culture thats something I dont agree with. You see you made assumptions about me only someone with a "ghetto mentality" would say. LMAO. I feel sorry for you.

  • I love this debate. All Polynesians can relate to it. Are the old skool ways irrelevant now? Because we have been educated and now view life through a western prism does it discount the eons of social evolution our ancestors endured and learned from? I am Samoan and we have the same problems. How do you cope in a western society with your old skool values? Maybe you can enlighten me?

  • A western society is built on old values. Our economic hardships are based on geographic location; values in tonga, samoa, and the U.S. maybe called the sames things but are defined differently because of this. Polys who immigrate to the U.S. must realize that living in a new country requires change in perception. Flow in economy and in life is differnt, culture is different, and in the US (the promise land) our values should enhance...a promise from GOD!

  • Maybe its not the values that are wrong but the system we live under. Emphasis on materialism and economic success are part of what we buy into everyday here and respect for culture and/or God are secondary. Why should our value system succumb to an inferior system? We have lowered ourselves to their level, the western culture that is. But then again we have no choice. We have to live under these circumstances and our children suffer. How do we reconcile this without losing our identity?

  • I agree that there is a spiritual malfunction in the heart of polynesian people. That is all I have to say on this.

  • i agree with tamafaiga, people are too fast to blame the values instead of looking at all aspects of the situtation. What is wrong with fetokoni'aki? helping each other. Of course there are lazy people out there, but would we be Christian to deny our neighbor bread when they are hungry? Materialism is not the end all we have a higher being to answer too, at least majority of Polys believe, as do I.

  • Giving is good but when it is done without humility it is done in Vain. When it is done in public it is done in Vain.

  • you don't need to feel sorry for me, I am doing well. you also made assumptions about me living for the culture my point was upholding traditional values. People do give more money then they should that doesn't mean the culture is bad it means people need to adjust their giving. Please don't talk about me or my children, you don't know who I am. I have no personally attacked you, personal attacks show a small mind. I never grew up in a ghetto, my parents were hard working people with

  • traditional values, my siblings and I turned out fine. And many people I know that grew up in strict Tongan or Samoan households that held strong traditional values grew up fine. Some people do take traditions too far but if you follow tradition and know your own limits then everything will be fine. If you go to a tauolunga and give 1000 dollars and you don't have any money then that is wrong on your part NOT the tradition,

  • but if you want to give to the tauolunga and you could spare a hundred, why not? Don't automatically call things stupid, especially when giving a gift is not stupid, living beyond your means is... This giving of money to the Tauolunga is just gift giving, EVERY culture old and new GIVES GIFTS, if that is stupid then you live in a sad world of no gifts... I'm not trying to fight with you, I am defending a cultural tradition that is NOT stupid, giving a gift to a wedding couple is NORMAL.

  • If what you see around is that people give way too much and tokanga to things that are not needed then tell them to change do something about it, but gift giving will go on forever, it isn't just Tongan it's seen in every culture everywhere. I don't know about you but I like it when I got birthday gifts, and giving gifts at weddings and etc.... but thats just me...

  • Basically, I dont support traditions that tempt families to break themselves from their true realities. In other words, lie to themselves about their true economic situation, so they dont give up the chance of achieving their certificate of very temporary fame and glory...which is a certificate that is only good for 2 minutes but cost them $100-$1000. This is why I call this tradition stupid!

  • here is the thing youtubsgal, it is one thing to support or not support a tradition. It is totally different to call it stupid because you don't support it. The fakapale is what we were talking about and if you think it is stupid don't do it, but don't call the tradition stupid because you don't support it. I agree some people give too much, but hange koe lau, he oku mole ai ha'o mei ma? ko ho'o pa'anga? pe ko ho'o ngatu? Don't call things stupid and generalize things.

  • Im entitled to my own opinion and I call it stupid for reasons Ive previously specified. If you dont agree with me thats fine but make sure that you clearly understand my reasons before creating rebuttals that is indicative to the fact that you dont understand my reasons.

  • I concur with certain statements, but I understand the full picture you are conveying. You did personally attack me...but no big deal its all in the past for me. *big smile* I apologize for offending you in regards to my remarks about you and your children...I shouldnt of said those things. My remarks were based on my misconception of you, but that has changed with tone. I have my reasons for being against tradition...such as the tauolunga.

  • By the way, I was addressing the comment to intelligent1c. This is refering to your question "to whom are you addressing this?" Only one with a ghetto mentality would try to over power a subject without assurance of who the subject is addressed to.

  • I am of a Royal Lineage from Samoan....the Afiogas who rule all of polynesia are of the Samoan Lineage and they were Samoans....they told of the story of how the Samoan king kicked his rebelled son out of his household, then he came to Tonga, lived there and had children there........and tongans were originated from the Samoans.....by the way, Samoans are the most popular people in polynesia because of their many different skills in many things, e.g. sports, education, etc...

  • Another Samoan orator in the house with a "Samoan Only" Account... WE ARE SAMOA!! Let's do the FA'A Lafa Samoa... hahahahahahha!!

  • Samoa isn't under anyone you idiot,

    Samoa is SAMOA.

At least our government is actually loved lmao, unlike the Tongans, whats that we see on the news? Unstable country? pathetic losers,

    go clean up Nuku'alofa.

  • Go cleanup your lafa!! hahahahahahaha!! Samoa has the highest rate for assrashes in Polynesia... !!!

  • Very uneducated Tongan.....vaipato....your name says it all too!....STUPID & IGNORANT...!....there's no prejudicial comments here....it's the TRUTH!...the truth will set you all free .....and please do yourself a favor...., GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH RIGHT.....AND GET SOME EDUCATION SO YOU CAN STOP BEING AN IDIOT ACCUSING PEOPLE FOR NOTHING.....!

  • DON'T GET MAD, GET GLAD!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAA! Samoa is the product of Tongan and Tahitian contact. You are part Tongan and Tahitian. ask a Samoan scholar, they'll vouch for it, i'm sure.

  • Damn shame! aint nothing like that minimum wage humor! vaipato, grow up kid(s)!

  • 310n510.. minimum wage is all u Samoans know!! Samoa is the only island nation, I REPEAT ... ISLAND NATION oops I mean territory to be using foodstamps.. That my friend explains how lazy you are. always dependant always will. at least Tongans maybe poverished, but poverished in a place they own. unlike Samoans, they fill up the projects. Samoa is more in numbers but less in courage, heart and skills. that's why Samoa was ruled by TONGA TAPU!! LOL... aua ita se muli lafa!! hahahahhaa!!

  • Hey!.....DON'T GET HURT!....KNOW THE FACTS....AND LIVE WITH IT!.....HA HA HA HA HA.....THE FACT IS....THE OUTGROWN NUMBER OF POVERTY IN TONGA HAS INCREASED OVER THE YEARS....AND MORE SO IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD....CHECK YOUR OWN ISLAND AND SEE HOW IDIOTIC YOUR PEOPLE ARE....DESTROYING THEIR OWN DWELLINGS....VERY SMALL MINDED UNEDUCATED GHETTOS.....GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND GET A JOB....AND GET A LIFE!

  • try telling that to Seau... hahahahahaha!!

  • You guys sound so stupid right now! Arguing like some little kids, Tongans did this, Samoans did that! What have you guys done for Tonga or Samoa besides brag and speak about it with your mouth? Tonga and Samoa are very special places in the south pacific we aren't supposed to argue and fight with each other, we are supposed to help one another, both our populations are small, we need to stick together. One Love

  • True true...but everytime we post a comment someone gotta hate and we respond. Not because we started it. I aint bragging about me Im talking about the state of affairs that exist today from a "Samoan in the USA's" perspective. If Vaipato has something to say, this is a free forum, we dont mind it so long as we can say our piece and have a lil' laugh while we do it. Thats Polynesians, always gotta say something. Entertainment I guess is why we do it. Stupid??, probably, but ish all good.

  • i agree with you! As well withy tamafaiga.. people makin it hard to be a hafekasi breed poly! no matter wat we is all poly.. one love!

  • Wow! is it you and ur sis on here talking all that b/s on the same account? THE TRUTH ABOUT SAMOA! you know it, you see it! dont deny it, accept it, dont cheat urself treat urself to the knowledge you have been deprived of panty pu! oh boy! kay then fufu boi!

  • Samoa is the garden of eden..of course the tongans wanted to live there & be like us..we're beautiful & sexy lol..but in the end the samoans got sick of their brokeass ways and sent them on a one way ticket back to tonga..thats the updated version of our past lol.

  • Samoa was the "GARDEN OF ADAM AND STEVE"... lmao... hahahahahahhahahaha! That's why Tonga invaded Samoa to phucc them teinez and produce your population or you'd be extinct, by now. Bow down and thank my Tongan Ancestors for making you & your momma and allowing you another chance at life. You half breeds!! LOL

  • vaipato, of course u like samoan women!!!dont blame u if we compare the 2 lol..know your history tamasi'i your people r half samoan half fijian origin & be proud of it lol.

  • huh? ? don't get ti rock82central ? oh, i just noticed your name is rock??... forgot to add on your last name "wiper".. hahahahahahahah!!

  • On a more positive note:It is recorded how the King of Tonga wept as did the future Queen of Tonga as one by one each of its island neighbours wer being annexed by superpowers across the globe. Hawaii/Samoa to the U.S.,Upolu to N.Z.,Maori to U.K.,Tahiti to France, etc. Tonga vowed that it will be Tongan ruled forever and is evident to this day. They have stuck to that and MALIE TONGA. Old Tongan saying"Tonga pe'a Tonga" (Tonga forever be Tongan). Something that we modest Tongans are PROUD OF!!LOL

  • vaipato how can you say that Tonga gained independence on June 4 1970 from the British.

  • That's independence from a treaty that was mapped out by King Siaosi I. It was Tonga's choice to approach the British as an ally in the case that it might be annexed by other superpowers as Samoa did. Treaties are deals, Annexation is by force. Samoa, my friend, was annexed by force. Shows Tonga's intelligence and skills that they should gain friend during these troubled times in the Pacific. Game recognize Game!! LMAO!! hahahahahahaha!!

  • The only game Tonga was playing was with themselves cos noone wanted to play with you. Dont overrate yourselves. Intelligence and skills had nothing to do with it. You were just following the lead of Samoa which gained independence in 1962. The first Polynesian nation to do so in the modern era. I aint mad atcha, jus wanna have an intelligent discussion. Is that too much to ask? We all got stuff to be proud of and to be ashamed of. We aint perfect neither are you. But we live and learn.

  • Samoa has never been independant up to this day. Samoa suffered foreign rule throughout history and is still under foreign rule. Like I said before and don't mind saying it again. You were once under Tonga now you're under U.S.A. point blank. Your opinion is entitled but the fact remains which puts all hamoz in denial!! don't hate- take a lead -participate!! LMAO! Once again, you made up your own ficticioius Samoan account on history. Typical Samoan - ALL TALK; NO WALK!! LMAO.Ain't mad atchya!!

  • You can take a horse to water but you cant make him drink. I guess this applies to you Vaipato. When you come down from whatever drugs you're on look up Samoa in the Encyclopedia. Jus when I thought I was talking to an educated Tongan....Next!!!

  • Lmao@encyclopedia. Accusing me of drugs. Is that the best u got Tamafaiga? U WIN!!! Malie Ha'amoa!!... SIKE !!!! hahahahahahaha!!!

  • The Tongan King and Queen were crying cos noone wanted to annex Tonga. Tonga didnt have anything that could be used in Europe. Sorry there buddy, U set yourself up for that one. In the past you guys won one then we kicked you out. Nowadays I'd have to say right now Samoa's government is doing good and so is Tonga. But we are definitely more democratic than Tonga. Samoa's royalty doesnt hold the power, the people do. "Samoa mo Samoa" means Samoa for Samoans not just the priviledged royaty.

  • vaipato now your bullshitting LOL Samoans from Manu'a never had Tongan blood running through their veins but you Tongans did have Samoan blood running through yours LOL. Manu'a wasn't touched because it was ancient and sacred and also family ties because your 1st Tu'i Tonga's dad was a powerful Samoan man from Manu'a who was married to a Tongan women Va'epopua. Your whole royal family all came out of a Samoan dicc so recognize where your royalty come from.

  • The rest of Samoa hates Manu'a because its royalty derives from Tongan Royalty. Tonga had a organised central government from chiefs of villages/islands, to Nobles of districts, that all reported to the Tongan ROYAL Household.Samoa was actually more of a peaceful nature compared to the vicious Tongans who got this fierce mentality from their Melanesian bloodlines. Polynesians are actually mellow loving people.Tonga was out to kill/rule,due to the Fijian blood in us. thatz exactly what they did!!

  • stfu you idiot! you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink! how the hell did we come from tonga when Tui Manu'a empire was before yours! go back to fufu island perv! dont get all butt hurt cause no teines want your dog ass! get off ur high horse, you are too funny!

  • The Tu'i Manu'a never existed. It was story made up by some vengeful, decietful Samoans back in the days because of their hatred and animosity against Tonga. There was however a High Chief of Manu'a and that's how Tonga regarded to him (a chief not a Tu'i). Samoans stuck that title to him. Tonga gave Manu'a immunity because of its Tongan ancestry. Samoans were known for their beautiful women and lush lands compared 2 Tonga. That is Tonga's incentive/reason for invading Samoa.

  • Where do you get this fairytale from? Tonga is Samoan for South because thats where you guys went after being evicted from Samoa. Tui Manu'a was the First Royalty of Polynesia who came from the Sun. He was a powerful entity with supernatural powers that Tuitonga challenged and died as a result. Then TuiManu'a brought him back to life just to make him understand he doesnt have the spiritual power like TuiManu'a does.

  • Tamafaiga, we're talking facts not legends from the Sun and bullshiett like that. This facts NOT Tagaloa/Sun/Maui bullISH!! Everyone has legends and oral traditions but it doesn't make it factual,it's based on myth, legend, and biased accounts to benefit each culture(no culture likes to down its self). Tonga Tapu means Sacred South. Meaning it was the spiritual center for Polynesia and Melanesia. Tonga means south in all Polynesian languages, not just Samoan. There u go again, typical HAMO LAFA!

  • Tamafaiga: You commented evicted.IF you were to stick to your so-called story of Tonga being from Samoa, why would you call it an eviction if Tonga and Samoa are one? You've just contradicted yourself. All of Western polynesia paid homage to the Tu'i Tonga and all those island groups will admit to it even today. Why is it majority of you proud Samoans cannot fathom the fact that a small nation such as Tonga had the fierce capacity to rule over Samoa? No one knows who Tu'i Manu'a is,point blank!!

  • Ask Tui Tonga about TuiManua, he'll tell you wassup. Or do you have to crawl on your belly to get a hearing with the King? Thats what I heard, that common folk have to crawl on their belly when the King tells them to come.

  • U R ONE SMART LAFA!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Lemme go over to K-MART, buy you a couple tubes of itch cream. Soothe your Hamo RASH!! LOL

  • I was told that when the Shipping boats were going around the islands back in the day that when the boat docked in Nukualofa as the Tongan workers boarded, the sailors would say,"Here comes Alibaba and the 40,000 thieves." The reason why Tonga invaded Samoa was because there wasnt any food in Tonga at the time. Face it we got the better deal when it comes to land. Samoa would never invade Tonga cos you have nothing we need, except watermellons.

  • I don't get it. Were you trying to be funny? Regardless of why or what Tonga's motive was for invading, the fact is Tonga ruled Samoa. And of course, any nation that goes out to invade and conquer has a motive in it's best interest. And if your reasoning is true about Tonga being hungry, then hey, you had some starving hungry Tongans running yo shiett and snatching you taros right out your hands, while u watched and wept!! POINT BLANK!! hahahahahahahaha!!

  • Actually we invited you guys over or a feast and then you guys started eating us. Face it Cannibalism was introduced to Samoa from Tonga. Thanks alot.

  • vaipato you even stated that Tongans come from Samoa. What I dont get is how can you talk shit about Samoa if Samoa is the place you came from?

  • I think Tahitians are the best looking Polynesians and their islands along with the Hawaiian Islands have the best views and landscape. Next to that, I think Cooks/Niue are the finest. Samoans/Tongans are okay. LMAO!!

  • wow omg thats my dads family...i see all my aunties dancing in the back..so she must be my cousin..you go girl...you're so gorgeous..thats right!!!

  • wow she's good!

  • set the record straght, Polynesian islanders are all related sumhow!!! migrating frm asia/south americas or sumwea along those lines

  • sssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaahooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

FOTU FAMILI FOR LYFE...FOE-2 FAMILI ....42!!!!!!!!!!

  • HIII AUNTY SELU......FOTU ON MINE..WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT!!!!HAHAHAHA NOT A DAMN TAHNG!!!! MALIE MALIE....FOE-2 famili!!!!

  • AYYE THATz GRANDMA OTA..HIIIIII GRANDMA FOTU ON MINE NIKKA!!!!!

  • Checc out my polyfest video's (Samoa stage). Theirs 3 video's watch them in order enjoy and comment.

  • seuke,seuke.....malie

  • Nice video by the way uso good to see the old blood ties being renewed between Samoans and Tongans!!

  • she's too bouncy... malo

  • Tongans should be solely known as Tongans, not if they have Fijian or Samoan blood in them. It sounds as if Tonga is owned and run by Fiji and Samoa. God I don't want to be recognize as a Scottish or Irish just because my ancestor came from their. I'm kiwi and thats that and the same should go for Tongans.

  • Why do some Tonganz look fijian and some look

samoan....It had to be the melting pot between

the melanesians and polynesians....look at the tongan culture its samoanfijianish

  • why do some samoans look white and ALOT look chinese? U tell me buddy

  • KuuTuFiSii since when was Tonga the most traditional performing group out of all Polynesians? LMAO if you really look at your culture you will see that your culture came from other islands in the Pacific especially Samoa. Your Taualuga and Ma'ulu'ulu dance came from Samoa. Your Kailao dance came from Uvea. So before you brag about your dances and culture think about where it came from.

  • GET+UM!

  • Tonga is like the crossroads of Melanesia and Polynesia!! Hence East meets west!I'm Tongan but the way I look at it from history and archaeological facts (not myths/legends).. Tonga is a mixture of Samoan/Fijian. That was a dangerous mixture of two warrior savaged cultures, thus, creating the Tongan warriors, who, ironically, ended up beating up Fiji and Samoa in their own lands (their own motherlands). But wait, before u samoans get mad... Samoans finally beat the Tongans asses back 2 Tonga!!

  • parts homie only parts! never stepped on manua islands potnah!

  • 310n510,Doesn't matter if it's parts or whatever, but it was a big chunk. Manua was untouched, cuz there was Tongan blood running through their Chief's veins. So in a sense, the Tu'i Manua is a Tongan anyways. Put 2 and 2 togehter: Samoa was under Tonga's rulership. Please, don't even try and argue about this. You know it, your family knows it, but you're all in denial!! Have some dignity like the Fijians and admit it. At least they did, so did Uvea,Futuna, and many other islands. BE REAL!!USO.

  • look up Tui Manua my horse friend! thats where youll know! understanding is the key usi!

  • LMAO. Tui Manua can suck my horsey dic bitch!! u fat Samoan LAFA!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • goes to show how the truth brings out jealousy and envy! its okay my horse friend! my people never suffered! im from Tau, Manua! so stop the bs man! dont hate tongans only dumb m/f like you who dont know no better! Tui Manua know about it usi!

  • No jealousy here, Mr.LAFA 310n510, just stating facts. Take it or leave it. I know the truth hurts but it will totally set you free SOLE!! hahahahahahaha!!

  • 310n510... with all the immature bickering aside. There is no island group closer in blood, culture, linguist, etc., like Tonga and Samoa are. When it all comes down to it, Tonga and Samoa are one.But on the real tho, many Samoans turn their cheek to this simple fact. They seem to have selective memory of history and only remember the part where they win and not the part where they suffered.Part of the healing process is to confess and admit. The truth will set U FREE!! can u @least agree on this?

  • vaipato now your bullshitting LOL Samoans from Manu'a never had Tongan blood running through their veins but you Tongans did have Samoan blood running through yours LOL. Manu'a wasn't touched because it was ancient and sacred and also family ties because your 1st Tu'i Tonga's dad was a powerful Samoan man from Manu'a who was married to a Tongan women Va'epopua. Your whole royal family all came out of a Samoan dicc so recognize where your royalty come from.

  • wow theres just money every where....

  • mani ee li'i mai ha ki'i la'i dollar heni..lol ke totogi 'aki ku rent..lol

  • Simply beautiful das Kos she's Tongan Polynesians are gudd lookin people not all but...hehe

  • simply beautiful!! you go girl!!!!

  • Micronesia means'small islands',lies in centr west Pacific to the nth of NGuinea, grps:Palau,Carolines,Marshalls,Marianas,Gilbert Islands.

  • Melanesia is derived from the French'Melanesie'meaning'black islands'.It stretches frm Maluku(Indonesia)in the west, thru islands of New Guinea,Solomons,Vanuatu,NCaledonia,to Fiji in the east

  • whoever said fijians are micronesian...that is sooo wrong....i come from micronesia...and well...fijians are polynesian.

  • Fijians are predominately melanesians

  • you are right...fiji would be the break between the poly and mele.

  • Tongans are a mixture of Melanesian and Polynesian. Either half Samoan or half Fijian.

  • Yes but Tongans predominatley polynesians by ethnicity (98%) with a small mixture of melanesain (Fijian) blood. This means that there is also a small mixture of Fijians blood within the Samoan population because of the ancestrial ties between the 3 islands.

  • We do have alot of half Fijian and half Samoan Tongans. So basically we are a mixture of polynesian and melanesian. Im dark skinned because I am half Fijian but I have cuzins that are light skinned that are half Samoan. We do have alot of Melanesian and Polynesian blood in us Tongans.

  • marcellin20 I never met a Hamoan that was half Fijian. I know for a fact that us Tongans have alot of half Fijians and half Hamoan's though.

  • So Tongans are have either Samoan or Fijian blood. Then what is considered a pure breed Tongan, Samoan or Fijian? Why do some Samoans have darker skin tone or why Rotumans have lighter skin because they are known to have ancestral ties to Tonga and when you consider in fact that someone with lighter skin have Samoan blood in them.

  • Its a long story I'll explain it to you later.

  • There has been a long history of interaction between these 3 island nations and they intermarried to establish royal ties with each other. We are all brothers/sisters blood wise and culturally. I believe Kava came from Fiji to Tonga and Samoa. So our roots unite us although we do not study this in our schools.

  • Viva1844 We Tongans in the past were predominantly melanesian. Our kings sought marriage with Samoan high chiefs daughters (Taupou = Samoan princess) to keep the polynesian bloodline in us Tongans strong. Warrior blood? It had nothing to do with warrior blood it had alot to do with melanesian and polynesian blood. One love to all Polynesians.

  • Dude ur hella dumb too much listening to other people. Tongans, samoans, fijians intermarried to keep relations strong between each other. There was always trade between us 3. Many Samoan kings and queens etc were part tongan. Salamasina was half TONGAN. Some Tu'i Manu'a were tongan. The first malie toa Savea(from tongan HAVEA) is even said to have been son of a tongan chief during the tongan occupation. In the end were all connected ONE LOVE

  • TeivakaTonga since when was Salamasina and Samoan kings and queens half Tongan LOL. I swear ya Tongans stories are funny! So is Troy Polamalu half Tongan too! HAHAHAHAHA If theirs one thing I do know is that theirs alot of Tongans that are half Fijian or half Samoan. Samoans are pure Polynesians.

  • WarriorBK Do some genealogy work itz all there. U can even look up Queen Salamasina online if u want. Her mother was tongan. Some people put up some ignorant crap on here. We were tongan BEFORE we ever had relationz with fiji and STILL are tongan. Tongans, fijians and SAMOANS all share blood not jus tongans and fijians. I know some half fijian half samoan folkz as well as half tongan half samoan whats your point?? Tongans are just as much "pure polynesian" as samoans.

  • Remember now the first Tu'i Tonga was Samoan! Keep it real TeivakaTonga.

  • Of course man what im sayin is intercourse went all 3 ways with Tonga, Samoa, Fiji. We all know and acknowledge the first Tu'i Tonga 'Aho'eitu/Asoaitu was son of Tu'i Manu'a Tagaloa Aitumatupua and a tongan woman 'ilaheva va'epopua. Manu'a is the land of our forefathers where all the royalty sprang from.

  • Manu'a is still till this day a very sacred island in Samoa. They say if your not from Manu'a even if your Samoan you shouldn't go their. I got alot of family in Manu'a though, and the island has hella ghosts man for real. One of my uncles went to Manu'a from Tutuila and got really sick dam near died out their. It wasn't until my family took him off the island and bacc to Tutuila and then he got better.

  • Dang thatz crazy...remindz of a old story i heard about a Tu'i Tonga that went to Manu'a. This Tu'i Tonga tried to go take a bath in one of the Tu'i Manu'az sacred bathing well. Even tho he waz told not to he still went in the sacred well and died. Tu'i Manu'a waz able to bring him back to life but first made the tonganz acknowledge that Tu'i Manu'a waz the most powerful king. I hear that in Manu'a they pronounce their T's like Tongans?

  • Yes your right my family from Manu'a pronounces the T like a D but its not only Manu'a that pronounces the T like a D. Alot of older Samoan men and women pronounce it like that too. The Samoan language pronounces the T in so many different ways that its confusing to other races. It a long story to explain my nigga.

  • I thought they stopped that money giving thing in mormons poly dancing. I was told that was case for Samoans?

  • This was not held in a Mormon church.

  • dis gurl ish sexy

  • lol i know this is a tongan dance but the emcee said somethin in samoan on the 1:05 mark

  • i think he said fa'afetai le agalelei or aga alofa....something like that....and this is the first time i've seen a tongan taualuga!!..its very graceful!

  • Tim Martin!!!...

  • haha i thought i just saw my grandma.
