Its smooth because I used a very high frame rate. 33 as a matter of fact. I don't recommend it though. Stay around 17 or 18.

33 is just too hard and it actually looks worse unless u do it perfectly.

no... thats wrong. Smoothness is all about the FPS rate that it is at. This was made at 33 FPS.

No. They aren't smooth. They are actually somewhat choppy.

They have good easing, and decent physics, but that is not what makes a smooth animation. Smoothness is entirely in the FPS. Its a common misconception.

but in real terms, an animation, or game or anythng is smooth if it has at lest 30fps

in fact an human eye sees fluid on 30 fps but not on less.

smoothness isnt everything, there are also effects and easing.

but ya, i think its awesome too.

There are also way more things to keep track of than effects and easing.

There are reactions, stiffness, movements, and physics. This animation was smooth, but its pretty stiff, the movements are off, virtually no easing, and physics need work. But this animation was especially hard to make because I needed to use the default v3 stick. =/ that sucked

If you use a high FPS, then it is going to be smooth no matter how good or bad the animation is. Easing and physics are seperate things from smoothness. Smoothness is simply how high of an FPS you use. An animation at 8 FPS can never be smooth; it can be well eased, have no stiffness, have great effects, and awesome physics, but it can't be smooth. Period.

if you are using more than 17 FPS, then you will have to put it up on WMM or something like that. If you are doing anything slower just play around with the frame delay I guess.

I did 33 FPS. Problem is, the highest FPS you can save a GIF is 17 FPS. So what I did was save it as a GIF in 16 FPS, then, in windows movie maker, I put the effect "Speed up double". That way, instead of 16 FPS, it runs at 32.
