@SuperMario431 yes, eventually!! It is a very very bad idea to put two different species together. ive had different species in cages and nothing has ever happened, in fact my lovebird loved being with the budgies until he got a partner and got super defensive. just dont do it!

I think the female is the one closer to the camera. The female will sit and watch waiting for the male to take any risks where it comes to exploring new things.

FOR EXAMPLE, if you put new food into their cage, the first one to the bowl is nearly always the male. Or, if they both get spooked by something and they go to hide, its the male that will come out first. Think its because males are dispensable, whereas females may be carrying fertile eggs or have babies to look after, etc.
