I have yet to see a day where a karate practioner could keep up with a TKD practionier with the same expierence. I'm being serious too, not just arguing.
keep promoing karate but this is some sad shit. MMA AND BOXER,MUY THAI Laugh at us becasue of this shit. it is not her fault and people like me r a little blame to for this shit, because we have bills to pay and we see esy money to make. Bruce lee took blows for us to learn the asian arts and as soon w get it we water it down for a buck,
A good karateka would stuff your fake kicks and demolish you on the floor. I remember that the purple belts at that dojo I trained at were more than a match for any Tae Kwon Do practitioners that were black belts visiting our school.
@MorteWulfe This is from Gran Master Roger Haines: MORTEWULFE , YOU ARE MORE THEN WECOME TO COME TO ARE SCHOOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIGHT NIGHT IS ON WED 630 PM TO 830 PM , WE ARE NOT HARD TO FINE , S.W.A.T. NATIONAL KARATE TEAM , DAYTON , OHIO , I WILL LET FIGHT ARE MALE BLACK BELTS FIRST, SINCE YOU LIKE TO ATTACK WOMEN !
@karatevideoguy Just helping you out, it is "Grand" "Are =/= Our" and "Fine =/= Find" Plus where the hell did you gather that I like to attack women? Rather defensive for a fighter...
cryingindian, this is a training video that has nothing to do with the street. just because you see a demo or a 'training video for compitition' dosent mean that is all they know, she is very street smart and smart when it comes to fighting. years ago we sparred and she kicked the wind out of me and i'm a guy. and yes she can fight for real using these techniques and others that aren't shown on this video for competition
i've never understood why in Tae Kwon Do you can be doing the same thing but different teachers or schools call them by other names. Our masters are from Korea so i don't know if American teachers change the names depending on style or school. Her first kick we call a Tornado kick.
Many of the same moves have differing names, it's true.
This happens in many forms of martial art... and even other hobbies/arts/skills/trades. You just have to get an "eagle's eye" perspective of things and remember the old phrase "A rose by any other name... will still smell as sweet... and is still a rose."
As long as you can utilize a move and execute it at the proper time & speed... the name is only relevant to being able to "talk" to others about it.
This is what passes for martial arts these days. So sad.
