  • At the end of the day, libs want to give the enemy a grease down and a shiatsu.. Whereas conservative patriots want to give the enemy incentive to back the fuck up..For the sake of ALL americans, even the libs who are too STUPID to realize it..

  • If politicians try to levy justice, they will be frustrated by any judge that serves, constitutionally, blind justice.

How hard is it to foresee this possible outcome:

    1. KSM is convicted in a NYC court for thousands of counts of murder, sentenced to many life sentences.

    2. His attorney will appeal on the grounds that he was convicted/sentenced by a jury/judge with prejudice.

    3. He will be exonerated because of a faulty trial, not innocence.

    4. No double jeopardy, he walks free among us.

  • I think their biggest fear of ANY trial is that Bush/Cheney and the Repubs will prove to be the reason he walks.

Too bad they don't have respect for our prosecutors, judicial system or even the 12 jury members if it comes to that.

They're probably flashing back to how they ran the judiciary, as opposed to how it should be run. Guess I might be scared too. But I'm not.

  • What if KSM gets off do you think he'll be released? If he is won't every American be waiting outside the prison gates for street justice? If He does get off(no way) and is released try to find a jury of 12 people anywhere that would convict me or anyone else so snuffing that Fu@&er out! What is everyone so afraid of?

  • Hell he wasn't read his miranda rights he will get off. Also Obama and Holder have already convicted the dog.

  • Do you have anything else stupid to say?

  • Whats stupid about the facts? If you don't agree then say why or shut the fuck up. Obama and Holder have already swayed public opinion with their comments about the terrorists guilt they will get off. They were never read their rights on the battel field. These are facts.

  • Most Americans agree with Grassley. KSM should be tried in a military tribunal like FDR used on German spies caught here, and like we had with Nazis at Nuremberg. A CNN poll has it at 64% want military tribunal, CBS has it at 55%.

Terrorist criminals caught overseas should be tried by the military, who in most cases, were the ones who caught them.

  • Your utter illogic is why we need to teach logic in schools again. Not you fault that you can't engage in a reasoned, logical argument, though.

  • You used no logic here, if you have an argument to make, go ahead. This isn't anything. Terrorist criminals caught overseas, in most cases by the military, should be tried by the military. Most Americans agree with this.

  • my point is that you don't know the fundamentals of logical argument. Your response reinforces my point.

  • blah blah logical blah blah, you argument is a cumulative 0, thanks for enlightening me with this. Now I can see where we disagree, you've cleared things up. Please add more useless generalities like this to the web often.

  • "your"

  • As I said and as you have reinforced in your response, you, regrettably, are ignorant regarding the fundamentals of logical argument. I don't attribute moral failure here, just your lack of education and training. Not your fault.

  • republicans have moved beyond being obstructionist. They have now exposed themselves as cowards (the whole point of terrorism is to make us scared to exercise our way of life, which republicans clearly are afraid to do in their fear of our justice system) and anti-American in their rejection of the basic tenets of law. For all his folksiness, Grassley is an obstructionist, a coward and anti-American.

  • @mattboy1981

    Agreed!

  • Republicans like Grassley simply don't have faith in American institutions. In that case, they should get out of public life.

  • First of all, I come from family farms and this douche gives farmers a bad name.

Second of all, Chuck, just admit it. You don't think he shuld be given a trial whatsoever. Be honest for once. Just get to the sentencing part. Kinda like what they do in Iran.

Republicans. Can't live with 'em can't legally cram them all into a milk carton and throw it into the ocean.

  • After he made a mini-career out of lying about pullin' the plug on grandma, why should anyone grant credibility to anything Grassley says. He's a tool.

  • What is this idiot rambling about?

You don't convict someone because "a lot of Americans" think a man should have been convicted based on what they watch on Nancy Grace or whatever shitty show like that was on TV at the time.

  • KSM is not getting off. LOL. This is just more of the Republican tactic "Oppose everything the Obama Administration does"

  • i don't think the repubs are against this new york trial because they are afraid ksm might get off. i think they are more worried about what might come out in the trial and expose more bush and cheney tactics to the american people....

  • I sensed a tinge of racism in that comment.

  • Greasley: "Personally, the opinions about guilt held by the people are more important than evidece. grumble grumble ... where's my nana"

  • This idiot forget even though OJ got off, his ass got put in jail again for doing something stupid again. The Republicans have no plan for anything as of right now.

  • There is no concievable way this guy could get off, mainly because there is not a single group of 12 people in New York who would aquit him regardless of the details of the case. He could be accused of parking violations and the moment the prosecution says "Al-queida" and "hijackers", he would be convicted

  • I don't see how a single one of you can extrapolate something racial about this. OJ Simpson was the most famous acquittal in US history. To suggest that he's making a statement about race here is frankly childish. Turn off Olberman for two seconds and look around you.

  • He's totally right.

Anyone not white doesn't deserve due process of the law because OJ got off.

  • I really don't think New Yorkers would stand for him walk around NYC on a technicality unmolested. I fully expect a The Birds reenactment in which all the birds are New Yorkers.

  • His argument for foregoing a trial is that "a lot of people" thought OJ should've been found guilty?

    Wow.

  • Seriously, is the GOP having a contest for who can say the most ignorant, inflammatory statement?

    Is America on Punk'd?

And of all the cases where the jury acquitted wrongly Chuck Grassley brings up the OJ case to the nation's first black attorney general? I'm not wrong for thinking that was premeditated.

  • Are you high? Or maybe you actually think Nicole Simpson tripped and fell and her head rolled off? When people think of instances where obviously guilty people were freed OJ is typically the first thing to come to mind. Can you seriously just off the top of your head name another case where the jury wrongly acquitted someone?

  • @smiledammit24:

"maybe you actually think Nicole Simpson tripped and fell and her head rolled off?"

Since you are unable to read I'm not sure it's worth it to respond to you, but I'll give it a chance anyway.

What exactly does OJ's murders have to do with 9/11? What's this: "if the rubble does not fit you must acquit?"

And how about Robert Blake, Lizzie Borden. Pretty famous cases, why bring up a racially sensitive trial to the 1st black AG if you weren't trying to make a swipe?

  • In short, if you were to go out on the street and ask 100 people, "Can you name a person who you think should have gone to jail for a crime they were accused of, but was not convicted?" about 99 would say OJ. Hell, even Family Guy did an entire episode about it. I would say the other 1 would be Michael Jackson.

I guess both of those cases were racially charged.

That and I think you're assuming a degree of intellect that Grassley probably doesn't have.

  • I look forward to watering Grassleys grave with Round-Up.

  • good God, these dopes just say whatever comes into their minds.

  • The OJ trial and this are two completely different things.

  • Yea, and what if no one has the balls to prosecute him for war crimes, like President Bush?

  • Grassley is right, and Holder and Obama have to understand that if KSM gets off with anything less than life in prison, it will mean a major blow to the popularity of the administration among the electorate.

I'm against the Mideast war, but when we have the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, and if we fail to convict, this admin, and not the Bush admin, will be held accountable.

  • The Bush administration put his conviction at risk when they tortured him.

  • Agreed.

  • this thing isn't going to trial for many years yet.. it might even be the next president's problem

  • Since these individuals are NOT American citizens, they would be deported back to their country anyways. Secondly, no one believes that these individuals would be let-off anyways. Stay a farmer, at least the vegetables can understand you at the same level.

  • Does anyone REALLY believe that an NYC federal jury would let ksm off the hook? grASSley is just trying to smear black people, since the common thought amongst his asshole supporters is that black jurors let OJ off.

  • Okay.

Raise your hand if your dumb enough to believe that if these guys aren't convicted that they'll be released into the general US population.

  • if the bomb doesn't fit you must acquit

  • What's funny is that this guy thinks that if these terrorists aren't convicted, that somehow they will get over 4 steps on the streets of New York City.

  • He admitted to the attacks long before we got him.

  • Oh, please... you are a farmer alright.

  • then he will play golf and steal shit like OJ did

  • heheheh

  • that's the beauty of justice... its blind

  • It appears old white guys really have their panties in a bunch.

  • @cosmosgato There is military justice to deal with military matters.. KSM, by virtue of being a conspirator in an act of war, and by being a non-citizen enemy combatant, should be handled by the military justice system.. END OF FUCKING STORY...

  • "Im a farmer not a lawyer"

Why the fuck are you helping run this country. With all due respect to farmers, I dont think it necessarily qualifies you to be a a high ranking US senator.

  • The prosecution had better have some compelling evidence.

These "confessions" were tortured out of KSM and will likely not be admissible.

  • XDDDDDD
