I bought a mac pro a couple of years ago - half of the programs I need are nowhere to be found for a mac, nor will ever be supported. I'm really tired of the war going on between Apple and the rest of the world (NOT JUST MICROSOFT!) .. Apple will NEVER be on the top with the attitude they've got - locking hardware, overpricing originally very cheap components just because they want to control my life and tell me what should I have and what not in my computer.

Simple supply and demand shows that this is why the stock is cheap. I am in not supporting either company, but if you want to measure a companies worth just look at its net assets.

I bought a mac pro a couple of years ago - half of the programs I need are nowhere to be found for a mac, nor will ever be supported. I'm really tired of the war going on between Apple and the rest of the world (NOT JUST MICROSOFT!) .. Apple will NEVER be on the top with the attitude they've got - locking hardware, overpricing originally very cheap components just because they want to control my life and tell me what should I have and what not in my computer.

@rs08th I bought it because Apple assured me ANYTHING is possible with the Apple products... but obviously you can't use ACAD or anything as powerful as that. At the end of the day Mac was only better for mp3, youtube, making some videos.. thats all.. Even Linux is more flexible than that! I don't hate Mac but I'm not a fanboy either. I use the mac pro for composing now.. At least thats a good thing.

Fact: More than 97/100 "viruses" people get on their PC are installed by the computer operator by tricking them into thinking that it is a legitimate program. And there are few viruses circulating nowadays. It's pretty much nothing but Trojan Fake-Antivirus programs. Do a google search for "rogue security software." This same software has recently started targeting macs. (See Macsweeper, macdefender) The problem with a computer's security is the person operating it, not so much the OS.

Product Placement is where a company actually PAYS money for that "tv show, comic, or big movie" to show their products as a form of advertisement. Microsoft is successful enough to not do so as frequently as Apple. Apple wants a larger Market Share so they go for that.
And BTW. PC= Personal Computer= any general-purpose computer whose size, capabilities, and original sales price make it useful for consumers, used with no COp.

I've had a PC for years and i've never had any severe problems once plus i get to play awesome games which Mac users cannot with their gaming deficiencies. The cheepest Mac i've seen is like $600 wen u can get a perfectly good PC for under $400. And windows is perfectly stable, my parents have had a PC for years and it still works fine and my current laptop is just over 2 years old and the only problems i've had i fixed myself. If u need to fix a Mac u need to send it away somewhere and spend $500 just to fix it, not including S&H.

@Supergamer75 have u seen the mac games on steam yet? it has a growing library of games. half life 2, portal 1 and 2, call of duty, orange box etc. mac is just as capable of playing games on it. windows computers are stable, its just that its more prone to user error so it tends to crash more. if you know what you are doing, then windows is the perfect computer for you, for the average consumer who rarely cares about computers, mac is best. and there are more of them so mac is best for most
