  • Pretty obv fold for prahlad, jamie barrels turn A with all his air, so him checking means some sort of showdown value hand that has prahlad beat alot. Tho river is abit confusing as jamie isnt betting 88-KK for value (given that he sucks at poker) which is a decent chunk of his range, and might not vbet AJ+ so big given flush/straight possibilities. I would probs call cos jamie's a bluff monkey, tho the correct play for prahlad here against most decent players is to bluffraise to fold out AJ+

  • Best bluffer in the WORLD!

  • Looks to me like Friedmann thought Gold's first uncomfortable stand up was a reverse tell, which it wasnt, Gold then realises this and continues with the reverse tell, so i guess he reversed it twice!

  • gold's a phukin douche

  • lol Gold talks like he got nothing but he says it like he is lying :D that is reversed logic HAHAHA :D i like it anyway :D Gold is mad but it works :DDDD LOL funny, and entertaining :D

  • What love jamie? He's a crybaby bitch! And not to mention tied for worst poker player/Main Event winner with Chris Moneymaker! If luck wasnt involved Gold wouldnt have gotten past the first table!

  • I love jamie gold because he shows- and isn't a fucking bitch like every other poker player.

  • jamie gold turned me way off to watching poker. no respect for the game, no respect for other players. the way he talked about his hands should have been grounds for disqualification, not just from the hand but from the entire tournament.

  • @grelleezy i think jamie gold adds another dimension to the poker game. poker is about reading tells. if someone wants to offer it, it should be allowed. its boring watching all the internet robots with their pot odd calculations. what makes poker fun is that it is a social game and their should be some vocal bantering.

  • I think parlad was about to call then jamies comment at 2.40 sent him back to being un sure again - literally i think he was about to say call and then jamie said that

  • sorry i think phralad played it not good. he could reraise him after the flop. what did he thin? Jamie got a higher pocket pair then 7`s. then he could raise Jamie after he checked the as. He didnt make presure the hold hand and Jamie won it with a bad bluff on the river. But i didn´t play it - so it s only bullshit ^^....

  • @werkannderwird No actually he couldn't reraise him. I'm not going to tell you why either.

  • STFU and bet or fold, wiggle-dick.

  • Jamie Gold is flat broke. Between on-line, High Stakes Poker, the lawsuit, there ain't nothin' left.

  • When trying to make fair regulations for poker tournaments all they have to do is look at the things Jamie Gold did during the WSOP 2006 and then forbid them.

He is a disgrace to poker.

  • First off, Prahlad has forgotten more about poker then Jaime Gold will ever know. Biggest tell that Prahlad either didn't notice or possibly regarded as a reverse tell was when he asked if he would show. If someone replies yes, 99% of time they don't have a hand. If they say no, 99% of the time they do have a hand. Best response to that question is silence or saying you don't know how to answer it.

  • he is a professional brain mixer :) but a dickhead thats for sure.. thats why he was banged in high stakes poker.. he was bluffing amateur players in WSOP, but he cant do anything against. Ivey, Helmuth, Durrr, Elezra, Antonius, Daniel, Gus and many more.. people will remember him as a trash talker and lucky winer, thats all.

  • Jamie Gold. Pro Idiot.

  • incredible run of cards + luck + trash talking while opponents are making decisions = jamie gold winning the WSOP 06

  • the way he showed the bluff really showes hes manners. like a 12 year old

  • thats crazy how this guy did everything right loll... he will never win again tho

  • search Jamie Gold shows cards...amazing

  • enzo, i think jamie was lucky, but i also think you are a jealous b.

  • Phralad is sheit worst player ever

  • Reverse Phsycology FTW

  • Jamie Gold had the best run and the best formulae to win the tourney

  • I TRAPPED HIM!

  • This Gold manipulates people.

  • hollywooding at it's best.

  • HE HAD SHIT CARDS YET STILL TALKED HIS WAY ONTO 1ST PRIZE?

  • JAMIE GOLD'S PHONE CALL TO HIS DEAD FATHER AFTER HE WON ALL THE CHIPS WAS SAD

  • u got anything?

    uh huh.

    u gonna show me?

    sure!

    LOL i love jamie gold!!!!

  • Phralad is so cool about it, too.

  • This idiot should have taken off his glasses and saw a gold fish.

  • c-bet flop, surrender turn, bluff on the river : that's the amateur way to bluff

bet the turn and get him to fold next time

  • awesome!

  • Trust your instincts, oh well.

  • 2:32 I can't believe they had Hitler as a card dealer

  • @SugeKnight187 That was a popular mustache back then. Charlie Chaplin, Hitler, WSOP dealers.

  • this is the weirdest hand ever

  • i just want to shoot my load on jamies mom face.

  • I have noticed when jamie is bluffing he often gets up and walks away from the table. He did this on PAD as well in a hand against Chris Ferguson (but this time Ferguson called his bluff).

  • @moctezuma2008 I think your a damn fool for trying to compare HSP and the ME... Everyone tries to claim Jamie is so bad after watching HSP... He has never claimed to even be good or better than anyone... He had the balls to sit and play with those guys and actually get involved and not fold every hand until he had the nuts, that deserves respect... I also think it's fking foolish to call a man an idiot without even knowing him, especially a man who does as much good as he does.... You sir are a

  • @phantom3030

i thought that... but then i saw him reraise sammy farha in the dark with kings and goding him to reraise and when sammy let on he had aces jamie begged him not to bet into him on the turn and river. that's when i lost all respect for him.

  • @seriall1337 I love how absolutely brilliant Jamie played and won the main event and $12 million while you are trying to look back on here and fault him for a play that worked.... Lol. How dumb are you?

  • "to bad he didn't fallow true"

    HAHAHA

  • Gold is the Luckest Man that i ever known !

  • that was pretty nasty.

  • Jamie may not be the best poker player, but he confuses a lot of people at the table you don't know weather he has a decent hand or absolutely nothing as he plays the hands the same, aggressive pushing, and just plain confusing people. I like the guy i think he's a decent bloke. He does a lot of charity work and people hate on the wrong people. Try petitioning on paedophiles or rapists not people who are doing no harm to anyone else. Just doing what he loves. He loves the action.

  • what an idiot bluff allen cunungham or daniel would call that... firedman sucks

  • i love how gold thinks he's smart by trying to act like he wants him to call but he's so overacting it.

  • this clip is pure comedy

  • Its easy to hate som1 wo is becoming a millionair

  • I still can't believe Jamie won the wsop 2006. If u watch high stakes poker season 3 u'll see why im saying this. He is so damn bad. I'm not saying i'm the best, but dude Any decent poker player can take him down so ez. It just makes me sick to see how a fucking idiot can win 8 million bucks. Damn fish

  • @moctezuma2008 To win the wsop main event means you have to play solid for 2 weeks and play thousands of hands right. Its not luck. And tournament poker and cash poker is like apples and oranges. I dont like him but respect him, and he is a good talker and talks many times players in or out of the pot. Best from Brazil.

  • would u show me? Jamie: Yes i will. Fucking dumb fuck you should know that by answering yes means you are damn weak. If u want someone to call u, u won't tell him u'll show him. Very easy tell.

  • @moctezuma2008 and is that kike the hand where the kid had kings full and said yes he will show.. was he weak then as well?

  • mama gold peeping like a mouse

  • It's Douchebag vs. Douchebag

  • lolol you guys are so pathetic jamie gold is the best . he wanted to win the wsop to help his mother cure from cancer and you gotta respect that. the world needs more people like jamie, not envious douchebags like you guys

  • I want to fuck Jamie's mother

  • I would like to slap that Jamies bitch of a Mum. She is so fucking annoying, probably can't even spell Poker.

  • I think one thing that messed up Friedman was Golds check on the ace.

  • to be fair jamie does play it like an ace really... its so easy to watch these clips and go 'easy call' but when he bets like one 3rd of your entire stack thats a lotof pressure!

  • @superdave31 Should Friedman have shoved the flop with his stack size?

  • @thetshirtblog I think he should have done that in the turn, cause Jamie did seem scared by the ace

  • I guess I was thinking that Phralad was just short enough to so that he had to shove the flop to protect his hand if it was actually good, but I'm not sure if that's actually true. I don't play many tourneys :).

  • Prahlad should practiced avoidance imo

  • Prahlad was in a tough spot and the lay down wasn't the worst. The hardest thing about players like Jamie in a tournament is that they're such spew tarts. Players like that will donk off their whole stack in a matter of a few orbits if the cards don't run a certain way. Jamie Gold had to be the luckest WSOP main event winner ever. If he had just ran well he would have prob busted 10th or worst. He played like a donk and just ran like he made a deal with the devil.

  • exactly right. players like jamie gold will throw chips into any pot, and there are plenty of less marginal situations to squeeze money out Gold.

The problem we've seen with Gold's play since the WSOP is that he value bets far too little. He often checks down top pair, and I've seen him check down two pair a few times before, so when he bets big on the river, there's probably a better chance he's bluffing than he's not.

He would improve a lot more if he value bets hands more thinly

  • @Enzo0383 THE LUCKIEST WAS THAT NOB JESUS PRAYING NIP - JERRY YANG!!!

  • @Enzo0383 Haha well put totally agree 100% Johnny must've been sad he was his mentor XD, And i bet anymuch he did make a deal with the devil! People think that its a fairytale, My sister's Ex-Boyfriend "Peter" made a pact with the Devil she broke and a little over a year later He was signed and on his way to becoming the artist known as "Bruno Mars". Dont get me wrong he was a great singer & dancer but he could never write songs and by writing is how he was found! Fa-q Satan!

  • @Enzo0383 yeah completely missing the board and bluffing two streets is running like he made a deal with the devil

  • He could sell an eskimo a fan

  • Jamie Gold may not be the best at the game of poker but I tell you what his game is The talk game his psycho babble is on point this guy is a smooth talking manipulator thats what makes him dangerous.

  • Jamie was indeed an ass and obviously lucky. However he still managed to use psychology to make plays like this.Gotta respect the guy for that

  • Prahlad is the best.. Jamie is a tool.. I don;t blame Prahlad for not calling, Jamie was lucking out and sucking out on every hand.. And acting like an ass and treating people like shit.. The true test is always after the tournament, and Jamie has done nothing..

Poker is fun.. for everyone.. lol.. love love love prahlad

  • @mickihotchick he's the best? You're obviously just saying that because you have a crush on him. Why don't you get your impulses under control and judge people on how they actually play. That was a horrible fold. And no, he never will date you.

  • jamie looks like the guy from the colbert report

  • I LOVE YOU prahlad.... such a sick read

too bad he couldnt fall through

  • whatever

  • Rajplayer don't talk shit

friedman had only 2,5 when the hand started

he made a deep run into the tournament

tryin to survive.he is close to making the final table.i would have checked also.

if he would have something like 10 j and the 10 came on the river, jamie probberly would have checked hoping he's good.

so he had the ace or he was bluffing

and a perfect read but to bad he didn't fallow true

  • I'm not talking shit. I just told you, if any of 10, J, Q or K came up on the river, I would have checked behind. If they didn't, I would have went for the all in. Checking the turn card behind Jamie was very amatuer. Some sort of bet HAD to go in there no matter how tight you are trying to play.

  • Bad play from Friedman. I would have bet the turn as soon as Gold checked it. I would have made a "tread the water" bet. If Gold had the guts to re-raise me I would have folded thinking he had an A. If he just called, I would have put him on something like KQ or J10 and really put the pressure on after the river (ie. if he had bet after the river card, I would have gone all in unless a 10, J, Q or K popped up on the river).

    Very amatuer from Freidman there.

  • SpiritRock was playing small ball poker. he wasnt 100% sure if the A helped or not. he was trying to get to showdown for cheap. But he couldnt make the call when gold put the pressure on.

Its simple really. no mistake from either player. just nerves getting the best of him

  • I'd have called, he isn't value betting really thin here, i think an Ace is mostly C/C.

  • i hate gold

  • jamie jamie jamie......

  • lol when prahlad asks him if he will show he answers insanely fast which usually means a bluff

  • I still cry when I see that:

CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL CALL!!!!!!!

    But he can't hear me....

  • the thing with these videos is its so easy when you can see their hole cards, when your in their position, with all the rpessure of the chips and that ace sitting there !!! this is when poker does my head in lol

  • Pisses me off seeing comments about how they'd have done the right thing. SOOOO many factors like the fact they're in the main event and cannot see shit... just a bunch of wannabes ^.^

  • same here, i can imagine so many kids at home thinking theyre great. when its so different when your sitting there. Its easy to say call but the chips represent pressure. Pralad had to call off about a 3rd or so off his stack....

also.. any other time, in this situation, jamie gold would have an ace!

  • and that ace would have like an iron grip on you

i hate that side of poker lol. when you raise and someone re raises and in your head your crippled / fukd lol

its so easy to say what to do when you can see their cards...

  • ...And the intentions of the players along with those cards. Some people feel so big that they can see those intentions but reads are so damn precise and intricate...

I'm a terrible player because I back down too easily. I'd have played the hand the exact same way Pralad did with the only difference being I'd have not made it that far in the tournament.

  • It's such an awkward spot. Calling down is pretty much the only thing you can do there if you don't want to shove and risk your tournament life and even then you pretty much have to fold the river.

  • hahhaa wow that was beautiful bye jamie

  • mamas boy lol, momma is so proud.

  • If you talk a lot in poker and you are good at it like negreanu or jamie you can test people and see their reactions, that makes them soo good readers

  • this video makes me laugh every time golds talking during the hand

they say in poker you should keep your mouth shut but i honestly think for some people, like gold, talking is the better option

  • its just the way he is . he said himself hes quite a social person so it just comes natually to him. i thik it just depends on your personality.

i personally find this clip hilarious its so funny 'man, i cant beleive you got me' lol

  • I have no idea, are you a tournament player then? Because on Pokerstars or Full Tilt it won't help you out. Gold is a legend at talking people in or out pots. He's closing the deal

  • Youre right. To say it friendly: Gold is not really the best poker player on the planet, but those two weeks he led the field for several days and confused every opponent in the right direction. Amazing.

  • @Veghelll Except Allen Cunningham, who I remember making a sick call vs Jamie.

  • @Veghelll he wouldn't do this these days though.. the players are so much better and more aggressive

  • 2006 WSOP: The best one. Jamie Gold hasn't proven himself since, but he was, by far, the best poker player in the world for those two weeks. His WSOP was the best one televised so far.

  • HAHA. "by far, the best poker player in the world for those two weeks"

You don't know anything about poker or statistics at all.

  • how he didnt call with 77 and re raise after the flop; you can see that Gold is a bad actor he moves all the time, that really significant to me for calling with 77.

  • he was playing small ball. gold is the only guy who can bust him...

  • jamie gold is sick player,he confuses alot of people

  • mama Gold is high on crack cant u see?

  • jamie gold = donkey douche bag

  • But Millionare

  • Phralad should've re-raised on the flop...

  • jamie gold suck a fag

  • I would raise the flop and insta-call the river if I'm gonna check the turn.

  • my thoughts exactly. especially as soon as he started talking.

  • I love when people dis Jamie Gold. It shows they have no clue. Jamie won the WSOP with incredible style and good enough poker skill. Give credit where due.

  • i would bet the turn

  • r u c razy ? gold sucks at bluffing, he just got fukin lucky getting that A at the turn, and anyway his bluff was stupid cause the A could be a good card for friedman.. just stpid and lucky

  • If a K or Q would've come he would've been scared of Jamie making a full boat.

  • Friedman should have raised the flop. That's what he gets when he doesn't.

  • As one commentor pointed out - Friedman was playing small ball - If he puts out a raise on the flop he'll have to bet at least 600,000, more likely close to a million. if he's wrong he's crippled if he folds or out of the tournament if Jamie sets him in and he calls and Jamie turns over JJ or Tens or something - People say bad play by Jamie, but he played it fine-Friedman played it badly. If he was going to play a big pot there, he should have reraised PF, when he knew he probably had best hand.

  • Why raise the flop, please explain? I think he controlled the pot size quite nicely. He just didn't follow his read.

  • gold did put on the best show ever in that wsop

  • great show jamie!!!
