  • omgomgomg thats so awesome!!! <3

  • Unlike you, I dont get my sources from a crazy man who lies about inventing the internet... What a scientific mind he has. lol

  • (cont.) machine in the world for 33 years, the temp would fall 1 degree fereignheit. It is arrogant to assume that we are in control of all nature. But dont take my word for it, go and spend millions of dollars campaigning if you want to

  • 20 years ago scientists stated that the earth was declining into an ice age. then, in the 90's and early 21st century, they claimed global warming. now, they say it's cooling again. I decided to get off the roller coaster and point out some news.

Even though the earth may be heating up a little bit, it is only temporary. Through the past 50 years, our CO2 emissions have made up less than 0.2% of the total Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. If wwe discontinued every single fossil fuel burning

  • Steve Fielding is evil.

    Evil. >8( (that's Steve Fielding)

  • he he.. This is funny..

  • lol goose! =]

  • How can he not believe in global warming?! Has he not left his house in the last year?

I'm a big fan of your videos, very informative and entertaining :) But yeah, I think the some of the flashing comments are too fast. They really add to your videos but the fast ones are hard to read and troublesome to rewind. So keep them! But slow them down a bit please :)

    love!

  • According to the US met office, teh world has been cooling for 4 years: If you go out, don't put 4 jumpers on!

  • If the absurd heat that threatened to melt us into a pile of goo this summer and the increasing number of hurricanes is any indication, yes global warming is real. But hey, try lowering emissions in a country where there are actually more cars than people :P.

I agree, the flash comments are too fast . I had to pause and rewind to understand what you said. It's distracting.

  • random and totally unrelated...but as a really confused southern californian, i must ask...

    what the hell is pavlova??

  • It is difficult to describe. The best I can come up with is "meringue cake".

  • what, did you just smack the camera at the beginning?

I HAVE FAITH IN YOU THAT YOU WILL NOT BE OUTDONE BY A KIWI... I cannot speak for the rest of you. Excluding Min of Vloglovers 4.0!

My friend LeChelle is a n00b and wants to know

    "what's with the poultry?"

    We love your vids,

    Chelsea and LeChelle

  • Why do you flash the comments on your videos so quickly? I can read fast, but some of comments fly by. Is the purpose to make us re-watch your videos to make out the comments. I find it takes away from the flow of your video because I have to pause and rewind to see what you said.

I don't think the flashing comments add to your videos but take away from it.

Still a fan, just some constructive feedback.

  • Hey. Thanks for that. I do it fast because control of online video is in the hands of the viewer. You can pause etc if you want, or re-watch the video a second time to get the extra punchlines. Vital information is always left up longer (such as the liberal = conservative comment here). I purposely don't make the extra funny comments SUPER short though, so at least it only takes one re-watch to pause on the title if you need to.

Just curious, does anyone else feel the same way as bostonguy3?

  • ninjas!

  • Lol! I've gotten so many ninja comments on this video... I don't know why!

  • i was curios between the difference between a dying pig's squeel and a kiwi accent? if you would point that out

  • Australia never signed Kyoto

  • Actually in the end we did. We had a change of government with the 2007 federal election and one of the first things the new Labor government did was ratify the Kyoto Protocol. By some fluke we even made our target (we weren't really TRYING to limit our emissions, it just kind of happened.)

  • You look like Harry Potter would look like in real life. Put on some round glasses! ^_^

  • Hahaha! If you take a look at some of my old videos you'll see me wearing a pair of Harry Potter glasses here and there! They are a prop I use sometimes (I nearly used it in this video, but that bit got cut).

I dressed up as Harry for a fancy dress party once. I should put the photos on Tumblr.

  • rofl "theres a whole world out there"

  • Aw I was going through your videos last night. I must've stopped before I got the the Harry Potter videos.

    That's odd. ^_^

Was this a costume party? Or were you just Harry for the fun of it?

  • Lol! It was definitely a costume party. I find robes rather emasculating.

  • Hm I dunno.

I wouldn't diss the robes, man.

Harry saves the wizarding world in robes.

I'd say robes could be very masculate. XD

  • SO happy to have you back

  • lol, funny vid xD

  • Why don't ninjas ever make it in the poultry press, news or anything else intresting?

  • ohf dsnakf;dsnaf;ds the kyoto protocol is ending soon?

hm... i wonder what will happen.

  • We'll get a new protocol. There's a meeting taking place in Copenhagen in December to outline the new targets.

  • I had to pause the video to read the sheep-pyjama annotation. And then I LOL'd.

  • suprisingly you make boring big words fun to listen too :D

  • my heck, you are too fun to watch.

    it almost feels.. unhealthy.

  • Yes but the NZ's have less to loose/give that is why they pledge more. There 20% is 2% to us and I thought NZ was already a state of Aus? A recalcitrant state but a state never the less

  • I think it will raise prices, but "poverty stricken" seems a bit dramatic. I think it's possible to change the way our economy functions so we can be greener without "riding the fear train". Obviously whatever the government proposes now will never be ideal because nobody has tried this before. However, I'm confident that as Australia and other countries begin this change we will figure out better and better ways to do this without ruining ourselves.

  • yeah global warming is pretty depressing but if its not dealt with soon and with a stronger fist than the world will lose its ability to support life.

p.s. i think the aussies and kiwis will always have that 'competition' and its kinda funny

  • i think everyone should say rawrr. with the extra r because then you are not telling everyone you love them. unless you really do love everyone.......haha.

  • I like the news thing. It works for you. :]

  • This camera angle is good. Well, I think it's the angle. Nevertheless, it wasn't going in and out of focus the entire time like your other videos!

It might have something to do with your Samoan thing on the wall. Dunno hey. But anyway, keep the camera there so we don't faint from dizziness! :D

  • its the world wide web!

  • Well produced, edited and presented video Rohan but, in the end, I am a little disappointed that you failed to state your opinion strongly, and then only in terms of "We can't let the New Zealanders beat us"

  • I get where you're coming from. I was trying to make the point that a developed country with a *somewhat* similar economy (although NZ runs on agriculture, Australia on mining) is able to cut emissions targets to a greater level than Australia. I just didn't want to labour the point too much because global warming videos tend to be so depressing!

Also, if there's a sure way to get Australia to further cut its emissions it's to turn it into a competition with New Zealand. =P

  • omgeeee pavlova!!! so delish. okay, my questioni ish: do you love me??? nah, i mean... dunno

  • Your topics are weeks old.. That NZ thing is old old old.

Less NZ moving closer to Australia and more Family Guy abortion episode.. Show us how pro life you are!

  • I'm really talking about Australia's problems with getting a proper carbon trading scheme going - that happened just two days before I uploaded this video (it happened the day I wrote the script).

New Zealand's announcements are a little older, but they are useful for comparing what constitutes a reasonable emissions target.

  • Nice one!

  • i must say that i laughed for a matter of minutes at jess' cameo.

    top notch as usual.

  • I'm already setting up a "Welcome to Australia, Country of New Zealand" banner as we speak, I don't wanna leave things to the last minute

  • Ideas for ur next video:

    1. What bout Karmichael Hunt leaving the NRL for the new GC AFL team? U could talk bout Aust'n sports

    2. The quadriplegic in perth who wants the feeding tubed removed from him. It's brought up issues about Euthanasia again. U could talk what happened in the NT

    3. How Aust blissfully escaped the recession lol (coz were all that and a bag of a potato chips)

    4. Aust Universities are making final year teachers from next year onwards do a set exam in maths and english.

  • i'd marry that

  • Oh Pavlova is so ours !

  • LIEZ

  • gosh rohan, no pizza?

    fo' shame.

  • HEEEEY Im a kiwi

  • WE HAVE THE PAVLOVAAA

  • Global warming; all the cool planets are doing it.

  • I ♥ chicken!

  • dude your so awesome! your great your like my favorite thing on youtube

  • i have a question. it's not news related, but is that a poster for alabaster box behind you? or do my eyes decieve me again?

  • Yes it's Alabaster Box. They started here on the Gold Coast where I live. I remember when Nara used to go on the local radio station to give out fashion advice (trucker hats where in at the time).

Many of my friends are friends with people in the band because they went to school together. I don't know any of them though.

  • In that case, you have excellent musical taste!

That's cool about your friends being friends with them.

  • you are so cute

  • I feel as if I have learned something, and I actually enjoyed it!

But honestly, it's nice to hear about this stuff cause I'm in Europe for the year so don't get really know what's going on back home... So thanks! ;)

  • omg you DID make another video.

Umm I can't think of a question right now. I'm too tired.

  • Family first... oh dear. >_> They worry me.

  • Gah me too. They seemed to be *okay* at the start (in 2007) and did a good job of double-checking to make sure Labor didn't pull anything too rash, but they've been getting progressively bolder/disruptive as this term has worn on. Steve Fielding is a loose cannon I would love to see taken out of the Senate.

  • in one of your early videos you commented on that you thought Americans were scary do you still feel that way?

  • a seven inch tsunami sounds like so much fun

  • My question is: Did Australians care about Steve Irwin or was it just the Americans who cared about him?

  • dont take my pavlova bro!!!

    lol

on a scale of chicken to duck pavlova is chicken

  • Did you SEE how curled that Wong dudes mouth was?!

Oh man. I'm sexy, growlin' & stuff.

And don't you dare make a sheep shagging joke. :D<3

  • Penny Wong is a woman ...

  • Dude can be used to refer to females as well, but I didn't know she was.

  • WHy don't they believe in Golbal Warming?

  • My parents don't believe in global warming. What's something crazy I can do to convince them?

  • Fortunatly california did set em but the rest of America did not... So who knows?

  • I don't what this video was about...but I was amused for sure.

  • I Loooooooooooooove Pavova! I give it a turduckin on the scale between chicken and duck.

  • How cold does it get in the winter there?

  • It depends where in the country you live. Australia has climates that range from subtropical to very cold - although it usually doesn't snow. I live about halfway between these two climates.

  • On scale of Chicken to Duck where is The Common Pheasant?

  • whats your favorite color?

  • Hmmm... I used to say blue... but now I like a lot of colours. So long as it's vibrant I'm fond of it.

  • there is a hole world out there, and im part of it

  • I love it when cute guys do super serious, earnest (?) videos! Loveya!

  • Could you talk about NASA not having enough funds to spot all potentially dangerous space rocks. That effects EVERYONE.

  • this is not rly a question but could you further explain the australian currency? i think in a previous video i said it was like laminated or sumthing? and as an american i like that quality.

  • laminated? no. plastic? yes. and colourful :)

  • You're nearly at 100 uploads :D

  • This IS my 100th upload! I completely forgot to mention it! =O

  • yayayayaya awesome vid man!

  • You silly Australians.

  • no no no He's a Kiwi. Gosh don't you watch flight of the conchords? Calling a kiwi an aussi is like a serious insult. Haha just kidding...but not. :P

  • Btw you actually are right I'm just kidding.

  • Haha I'm glad you clarified what the liberal party meant because I was thinking that your liberal party is not... you know... liberal enough. Here's to hoping that the US will add stricter carbon emissions restrictions!

  • The 'Liberal' in most countries Liberal parties refers to Classical Liberalism, which is an economically liberal ideology (free market etc). Your Republican Party adheres to this philosophy very closely, but are 'conservative' because they are socially conservative. Australian Labor and the US Democrats tend to be more economically conservative, but socially liberal.

  • ROBO :D
