You fools do realize that this is a re-badged Geo Storm, right? The TRUE (and far superior) Isuzu Impulses stopped production in 1989. You know, the ones that were designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and sport tuned by Lotus?. Some genius just decided to put a different face on the Geo Storm a year later and call it the Impulse. The fact that some of you bought into the myth that these are rare cars cracks me up.

Had one of these - was a great car. Put 260K+ KMs on it and it was still going strong. Body pretty much rusted out, but the engine was good. Very fun car.

but u stick $5 i the impulse and raise the boost to 15psi and i never dynod it but est at 210hp 160 stock and and the gsx is 200hp stock handling def the impulse lotus did it for the impulse brakes gsx

total value impuse i got mine in good shape for $1200 and $200 later it smokes most of the vw s in town all of the hondas even the higher hp ones

actually its the other way around, anything that says "geo" is not actually a geo....it was made by some other company and GM badged it as a "Geo" Isuzu made the Geo Storm, which was based on the Isuzu Impulse as seen above, Suzuki made the geo metro, which is actually a suzuki swift or cultus, and Toyota made the Geo Prizm (aka toyota corolla)

I had one. only had 19k on it when i bought it. man i loved that car. a little bit of work and it pulled a 14.2 in the 1/4. nothing great, but excellent fun to drive. i didn't realize at the time how rare it was.

They where offered in the Us/Canada but only 800 where shipped to North America, they are hard to find but are sure fun to have! That blue one is one of mine, between me and my bro we have 6 of them. the car was pretty stock when this video was taken, (boost controller,air intake and exhaust) Now it has some serious mods, and should be running in the spring after a 2yr build..

To all that think the G35 in not a skyline go read a sportcompact mag. The G35rwd chassis is based off th 08-09 rwd skyline witch is a V6 VQ smart guy's. We in the US got the skyline/G35 rwd chassis first and keep in mind I say rwd chassis. just Because the body, interior an motors are diff doesnt mean its not the same

I had no idea that they were offered with AWD or a turbo.  I've always loved these cars, and the Stylus, too. Isuzu made an unwise decision to discontinue making cars in the United States. They only continued to make SUV's, which was didn't help them at all. Only GMC has been able to continue doing that.

only the RS came in AWD turbo and intercooled from the factory. GM is ultimately the demise of Isuzu cars. The stock turbo on the impulse was relatively small, which is an IHI RHB5 (i believe)  search evflatliner on cardomain and you'll see my RS project :) it'll have the big 16g turbo from a lancer evo 8.

Factory they came with the IHI RHB5 turbo; it's significantly smaller than the T28, but it gets the job done.--- They pushed ~7psi from the factory, but most of the RS guys turn the boost up over 12psi with no problem.

you are a retard. the "35" in G35 designates its engine, which is the 3.5 liter VQ, same as the "35"0 in 350Z. the R35 is the chassis code.

hey man i have no hate of hondas i had a 99 Integra gsr, i just found them to common, to many kids throwing body kits and rims on them . just for your info Impulse RS was about 10 yrs before the wrx, and 10 of the 12 designers of the impulse got hired on by subaru to create the impreza. Isuzu to is one of the best automakers in japan,they just had the infortune to fell into GM's hands.

Just for the records when honda begins to build cars they rely on isuzu's experience to become what they are right now
