  • i'm sorry but this entire jungle genre just sucks

  • @tennisdude2000 What kinda electronic music are you into then? I would assume you like some electronic dance music as you ended up on this page?

  • @eggynapalm yea i like trance/progressive house and more mainstream dj's like deadmau5, tiesto, and ferry corsten. I'm trying to find new genres of electro to listen to; so far I've gotten into downtempo & nu jazz.

  • @tennisdude2000 Dude if you start with trance/house kinda stuff, you can't really explore back towards jungle. It was something you had to start with and enjoy when you were younger, and it then leads to other genres of dance music. You're exploring the wrong areas imo!

  • @tennisdude2000 Yeh opinons are great, i think tennis as a sport sucks because of match fixing outside the top 5. too easy to rig. shouldn't be a sport

  • wat a tune still mental

  • FWIW I would have called this "Jungle" back in 92 but who fucking cares what it's called. Brilliant track from a golden era when all this shit was new. Not much goin on but rehash these days, at least in the mainstream.

  • i never said any different, you're right what you're saying, dont know what you're getting at. leave it there i came here to enjoy music not argue, too petty for me

  • first heard this on a dj hype tape, he scratched the shit out of it.

  • @monkeyjack67 Yes and so was i there! And i do not remember Drum and bass being used as a catch all title until about 93. The prodigy used it on a version of Charly but as a descriptive term. Jungle was born from darkcore, dnb was born from jungle, the two did NOT co-exist!

  • @monkeyjack67 and it was frickin awesome, i had it and would love to find it again

  • @665manco an old mate of mine still has it but we're not on good terms at the moment. would be worth making up with him just for that tape.

  • DA TERMINATOR IS OUT THERE SO BE ON CAUTION WHEN U POOP =]

  • wtf ... this isn't metal!

  • @sallemanx metalheadz is the name of a drum and bass record label

  • Groundbreaking stuff - It was one of, if not the first, to use pitch shifting effects on drum tracks, and that's not the only good thing about this tune, it samples Sarah Connor's line from The Terminator (fantastic film) "We're talking about things I haven't done yet!" - like pitch shifting drums perhaps!

  • The very moumnet i heard this track i was 16 i think that was 92- or 93 but anyway i just knew that i loved this style of music and wanted and needed to be part of it.....What an absoluty amazing era, mput those monky n-dubs and all this pooh nowadays to shame...This is the proper unwatereddown real stuff. Love this times and never will forget them....

  • remember them rocking the lazerdrome new years eve cant fremember the year

  • rufige cru :)

  • they simply don't make music this good anymore, classic!

  • omg i rem this fucking classic : P

  • oh and fuck Modrophonic!

  • kill this shit!... its hardcore to bone

  • 2:42 - 305

  • @lilAimmzz

    Darkcore ;)

  • its not jungle or DNB, its bloody HARDCORE!!

    plain and simple.

    rippin

  • Agreed, this is pure hardcore. Wicked tune

  • ... I still wanna know how he sampled Streets Of Rage 2...

  • Which part? I don't recognise SoR2 anywhere in this.

  • There are parts from the Bridge stage sampled around 3:09

  • Fantastic classic claustrofobic atmospheric tune.

    90's Jungle & Drum 'n' Bass FOREVER!

    Keep it alive people!

  • This Is One Of Those Tunes That Is Usually Mixed Up With A Load Of Crap On The Old Skool Mixtapes But This Is An Excellent Tune. 09/10. Justin Langford.

  • Baaaaaaad tune!

  • This tune is one of the Best ever DnB rollers in my list.

    This Shit is Darkkkkkk

and the speeded up version is better i say. It is so much more adrenalin-fueled! - like.....THE TERMINATOR IS OUT THERE!!!!

  • its NOT DnB! Its jungle,DnB is shit jungles not.

  • Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

  • these guys worked well on the pitch shifting and time stretching, as the beat pitches up the beat is expanded to fill the time - this is one of thise chewns where the beat has the melody too :-)

  • O M G i aint heard this tune in ages, WHAT A BEAT and i never knew it was done by metalheadz lol

  • its not the "amen" break you tit.....

  • sounds like it

  • haha yeah sorry but he you are a tit , its the james brown funky drummer sample - probably 2nd most sampled loop beat , amen being the first now (back in llate 80s early 90s they were about even with JB being most sampled in the 80s i think).

  • Darkcore makes me feel happy

  • furkin bad ass sweet as a frickin nut of a tune. Doesn't get much better imho...

    respec' n whole crew

  • Exceptional well rounded track. Impressive for a label. All Attitude!

  • ... Is it me or is some of the samples from halfway into the song music from the Streets Of Rage soundtrack?

  • This and WE ARE I.E by Lenny De Ice. Its a tough choice!!

  • Best tune ever made? I think so!

    :)

  • ITS DEFINITELY UP THERE!!!

  • @fruitbat1979 I wouldn't say the best tune ever, there are a lot of good tunes out there in the old skool jungle scene. definately a top tune for 1992 though in my top 5 records for this year.
