  • i like more the actual ending...

  • They maybe should have kept this in. This is one of my favourite films. I've done a video called 'Writhe' on my channel which has a shaking head and other effects. Have a wee look!

  • I wonder if Terminex handles that sort of pest...mmmm.

  • This scene is like the missing link of this movie....

  • With all the restorations being done, this should be restored...it was a key scene and, in my opinion, a stupid cut.

  • It would be great if they re-released this in full

  • tht thing jake takes could b lsd!!!!

  • I think they tried to play down the chemical experiments and instead make it appeal to a broader audience by making it seem more religious.

  • i farted during this.. twice.

  • holy shit, that was fucking crazy I love it!!

  • this was scary

  • HAHAhHaHAhAhhaHAHA...when the white rabbit peaks I want you to throw the radio into the tub..AhAhHAhAHHAHHAhAHHAhHAhAhaAhHAhAha....

  • I can't believe he cut this, the movie is missing a climax without this scene!

  • holly shit i saw the same thing, when i tryed salvia 20x, that salvia is bad shit,

  • Jacob's Ladder, the second best movie ever. Amazing script by Bruce Joel Rubin. Great perfomance by Tim Robbins, Danny Aiello and all the rest of the cast. Suberb directing job by Adrian Lyne. Exquisite photography by Jeffrey L. Kimball. Jacob's Ladder is "The Tibetan Book of Death" turned into a movie. Thank you, danjaqdvd, for sharing this awesome deleted scene (and yes, I agree with you: it is relevant; they should have been left it in the movie).

  • SO what is that monser thign supposed to be anyway

  • nah, no need for this scene in the movie

  • I agree. They really should have kept the portion at the end though, where he comes face to face with his girlfriend & realizes its himself. That scene is pivotal to the flick I think, & their reason for taking it out is wack.

  • I love Stone's madness behind the camera. Surreal. I first saw this when i was about, and it's still one of those movies that affects me.

  • This was probably intended to play out right before he goes back home (at peace with his situation) and his son leads him to heaven.

He seems to understand where he is at this point because the guy gives the line about "walking in the shadow of death" and Jacob smiles knowingly. One of my fave films. I'm glad they cut this scene. It had no benefit.

  • yeah this seems like and alternate ending or story path. Defiantly a cool scene but wouldn't have worked in the final cut.

  • agreed.

It's a good scene to enjoy after watching the whole movie, but it wouldnt do well to be in the final cut.

  • i love this film.

  • wjy didnt they keep this scene in? its really good

  • Yeh one of my top ten movies! I believe though this would have been an alternate ending, because it changes the whole movie in the direction of it being a warfare chemical motivated story and the end of this scene him now being cured..So to go back to the movie after this scene and to end the movie like it originally does would seem a little confusing..Maybe?

  • Shit, i loved this movie and this scene should definatly been left in. maybe not in its full length but it should have found a place in the final cut. good post dan :)
