i just came across this song after not hearing it for years. i used to always listen to it after me and my ex broke up. well about a month and a half ago she took her own life, and when i heard it today i just broke down because it's even more relevant now than it ever was. i just wish i could have had one more night with her to say goodbye. like in this song. i love you and i miss you, rest in peace <3

No, I don't think so. I think the rest of the album is about break ups, this one in particular was about an ex-girlfriend who died in a car accident. 3 Cheers for 5 Years was about Jake's girlfriend breaking up with him while he was away from home. I think might have been the same person who died in the drunk driving accident and they never had the chance to work things out in person (rather than on the phone).

@keepingitlame If you have, like, Sirius Radio, or a specialty radio thingy-mabob in your car they have this type of music on some stations. Its not as if its never played, just depends on where you live and what stations your broadcaster provides. But Sirius I know has some stations dedicated towards music that isn't played in most areas :)
