  • WOH! WOH! WOH! WATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!

  • The best animated fight ever. The best Anime ever!!!!!!!Long live for the Street Fighter!!!!!!

  • @PingwinB No. I think long die the street fighter is more like!

  • Ryu kicked ass ! LIKE A BOSS !

  • @Radikalismic if this is a real Bruce Lee, Ryu could have lost to him for long time, pal! And i don't think Bruce Lee has to waste 2 to 3 minutes to kick this guy's ass

  • @hung5074 What would Bruce Lee have done against the Hadou Ken?

  • @hung5074 that could was a very interesting fight

  • Go Bruce lee!

  • Great figth ever....

  • Spine tingling. Still get shivers up my spine when I was watch this. This film will NEVER die.

  • Fei Long's reversal now has frame disadvantage on *hit*? Damn he got nerfed bad.

  • the move on 2:40" !!!

    poor Lee :D

  • its not Ryu vs Fei Long .. its Ryu vs Bruce Lee for sure

  • This is an awesome scene by the way. Sorry for going off on a tangent. I still love this after 16 years! :-P

  • You know we really shouldn't view this as Bruce Lee VS Some Karate Guy because that's not really fair to the characters in question.

Besides, it'd more accurately be Bruce Lee VS Mas Oyama, legendary Korean karate master who created Kyokushinkai Karate, trained in the mountains and had a great influence on Ryu's creation.

  • Good Fight

  • Funny things to note.

Bruce Lee hated the Japanese (due to the occupying thing).

In his movies he would ALWAYS beat the shit out of any karate/Japanese fighters.

Then Street Fighter made Fei Long as a memorial/tribute to Bruce Lee (as they did with Mike Tyson).

In this movie however, as Ryu beats Fei Long. Funny how it's a Japanese animation.

Anyone who wants to see how a fight like this would turn out needs to see Ip Man.

  • @hassmann2000 I'm somewhat skeptical on Bruce Lee hating the Japanese himself, as he was often standing in opposition of the racism both against and performed by the Chinese. His earlier movies weren't his projects either, just his vehicle iirc, so the Chinese directors of the time likely had their grudges (and probably old enough to remember WWII) that put their newfound hero in a position to vent their anger.

Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

  • @Catkeeper you're not mistaken, Bruce wasn't anti Japanese... This dude just had his info all ass backwards. I'm sure one of Bruce's best friend's (the Japanese Taky Kimura) would be shocked at the news that Bruce hated the Japanese......

  • @XtjprodigyX Thanks for the confirmation, I was pretty sure it was out of character for Lee to have bigoted opinions towards any ethnic group.

  • @hassmann2000: I call bullshit. He probably hated the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, sure. After all, who really liked the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong? Besides sleazy corrupt scumbags who collaborated willingly with the Japanese. However he had Japanese students and instructors. One of his best friends was Japanese, Taky Kimura.

And Ryu winning has nothing to do with the SF movie being a Japanese animation. Ryu is the fucking focus of the entire storylines for the games and animes.

  • @hassmann2000

Also Ip Man is great, he is the Grandmaster of Wing Chun. He was one of the most skilled practitioners of the system to ever live. His sons are great too.

But you can't use a mostly fictional film (Donnie Yen is great in it, by the way) to determine how a fight like this would go.

The Japanese fighters (10 on 1) against Ip Man were two bit amateurs. And General Miura was only slightly better than his soldiers.

  • @DrunkenPoliceGod You are going way off topic.

  • @hassmann2000 Not at all, I was ranting though. Maybe you didn't get the point. Just to quickly quote you.

    "Bruce Lee hated the Japanese"

He had Japanese friends, instructors and students.

"In his movies he would ALWAYS beat the shit out of any karate/Japanese fighters."

That's what sold in Chinese and Hong Kong films of that era. It doesn't prove that he hated anybody. He beat up foreigners in many of his films, but his friends and students were from many backgrounds.

  • @hassmann2000

"Then Street Fighter made Fei Long as a memorial/tribute to Bruce Lee (as they did with Mike Tyson)."

Indeed they did create Fei Long as a Bruce Lee tribute. No arguments there.

"In this movie however, as Ryu beats Fei Long. Funny how it's a Japanese animation."

Ryu has always been the focus of the Street Fighter series. I've been playing ever since the crappy 1987 version, I know my stuff, it's sad I know. :-P

So it'd make sense for Ryu to win his fights, he's the hero.

  • @hassmann2000

"Anyone who wants to see how a fight like this would turn out needs to see Ip Man."

I'm not saying Ip Man wasn't good. But it's like comparing apples and oranges. Bruce Lee (on which Fei Long is based) added a lot of different things to Ip Man's Wing Chun anyway.

All I'm trying to say is that Ryu is almost supernatural, he's not a normal fighter. He has super speed, strength and powers. He can launch fireballs. Ip Man was just a normal human being, who was very good at kung fu.

  • @hassmann2000 Bruce Lee did not hate the Japanese. He hated the Japanese occupation no doubt. One of his best friends Taky Kimura happened to be.... JAPANESE.

The whole thing about beating up Japanese in his movies was.. In one movie is was historical, in the others Bruce was beating anyone, regardless of nationality.

As for Ip Man? the movie? Donnie Yen in Ip Man is a reflection of what? Martial Art vs Martial Art? ok then.....

  • @hassmann2000 ignore my earlier comment... it seems someone else had already filled you in on Bruce Lee's japanese friends, etc....

  • capcom made it to be the best animated movie in the world!!!!!

  • the best fight in the whole movie

  • @XMasLeeX i say chun li vs vega.... and not because she was flashing the camera half the time.

  • Lol at the "What the Hell!!!" at 1.02

  • I would say that this fight is great! ... I mean they both used realistic techniques, despite the fact that they did use signatures special moves, but the fight b4 those moves was pretty realistic to me.

  • Ryu...a Japanese guy with a better English accent than me :/

  • 1:10 lol you can hear I WANT MY MONEY BACK in the background, up the volume.

  • Tatsumaki! Senpukyaku!

  • What, no rekkas?

  • 3:14 eso pasa cuando haces el Shien Kyaku con patada fuerte....

  • Ryu is the best!!! Tatsumaki Senpukyaku!!!! Anatsuken Karate FTW!!!

  • Fei Long: NOOO!!! WE'RE NOT DONE YET!!! YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING. Get ready. AAAAHHHH, SHEN KYAKU!!! WOOH! WOOH! WOOH! WATTAHH!!!

    Ryu: TATSU-MATSUMAKIIIII SENPU!!!

  • do not know what's with the producers. first they make Fei Long like Bruce Lee, I do not know if the kong fu at this level would lose to a karate.

very easy for a kong-fu master.

although, they put Fei Long as loser beginner. at least the fight would be very difficult for Ryu.

  • @dradlok thats the point. Even vs a great kung fu expert ryu stands up. Besides, its a movie u only got 1 hour to tell the story, and fei long its definitely not the last guy to beat.

  • @dradlok hey dude, what producers you mean? the game ones or the movie ones? if you have played Super Street Fighter II the new challengers, Fei Long is the live image of Bruce Lee, and what is "kong fu"? and i dont know wich movie are you watching because of your comment about Fei look like a loser beginer, since he know down Ryo 2 times in this fight, they both got hit, only that Ryu winned but wasnt easy how you think, about Kung fu Vs karate Hidiho2u say it right.

  • TATSUMAKIIIII! SENPUU KYAKU!!!

See it's not pound cake -_-

  • 1:00 FUCK!!!!! He gonna have a major headache next morning. Not the mention a broken nose as extra bonus. OUCH

  • And Ryu was his name-o.

  • This is so old, I used to think THIS was called a manga.

  • That Naruto bleach SHIT has nothing on this!! This is anime at its best!!

  • @Red1Champloo naruto's best fights are very good not better than this one but so fuckn good, both are extremely amazing works

  • @Red1Champloo Why you looking at my weiner for faggot?

  • @Red1Champloo

Ironically, the non-dubbed version of this movie is quite crap in comparison to the dubbed version.

  • @Red1Champloo Those are good too, but this is a classic. Nothing beats it.

  • @Red1Champloo there's a lot of people that say ''oh this anime has good fighting scenes'' then you watch them and are like ''..meh''

This is the only one I've ssene with fighting scenes I've actually gotten into

but these aren't just the best fight scenes I've seen in anime

it's some of the best I've seen in film.

  • @thezec Definitely! I just feel that there was much more indepth detail in anime fight scenes or even animes in general back then, it just seemed much more raw. But nowadays animes, i feel they just got lazy with everything especially the commercialised ones e.g. naruto, bleach etc. Glad to see you agree! :D

  • @Red1Champloo karate and the stupid japanese martial art suck!

  • @Red1Champloo lmao, dont get me wrong i love sf, i played it since i was young.

and this is a great movie for SF fans.

but naruto and bleach are much deeper than this movie, go ahead and flame i dont care.

ive seen ALOT of anime, and yes this might be one of the best video game adaptions and the best sf movie, but from your comment i can see that you didnt even watch naruto or bleach, because those stories are actually alot better and deeper, and every fighting tecnique is also explained.

  • You win!

  • Ryu tech's the fall after the super and does a wake-up EX tatsumaki.

  • The fight scene in the sherlock holmes reminds me so much to this fight scene

  • This is so unrealistic. Fei would kick Ryu's ass.

  • @MahamudSamatar

Is fei long the main character in SF?

  • @radelgratereaux Yes he is.

  • @MahamudSamatar unrealistic? Its a fighting anime where a guy name bison uses his psycho abilities. I dont get your point..

  • there are 5 people who dislike this video ...

they better be far away from me :@

  • it is clear that this is just an animation, but i consider it a low quality animation because it doesn´t contain a verosimilitude plot or descrition of a fight. besides it doesn´t respect the canonity of the game

  • Awesome fight. When Ryu crushes Fei Long's foot between his knee and elbow, epic.

  • best fighter in the world wins

  • It's Daigo Umehara VS Mago

  • i wish someone created a anime about bruce lee but with real fights like this one, not like fist of the north star though is good :P

  • is ryu or ken real in this world?is there any real famous karate in the REAL world?

  • I may be the only one but i prefer fei long than ryu

  • @obatao -ryu is the best

  • Uhm if bruce lee was in this scene he wouldve kicked ryu's and fei long's ass left and right

  • 竜巻旋風脚! japanese karate won chinese kunfu!

  • why does fei long fight ryu?

  • maybe this fight was inspired by the japanese anger against bruce lee

  • in real life? looooool no comment....

  • Fei Long: Woooooo Wazzap!?!?

  • in response to seanwukun i have two important points to make.

    1. There is no such thing as a superior martial art, only a superior martial artist.

    2. It's an animation...

  • wow fei long's bird cries sound wierd...

  • In real life, Fei long would of destroyed Ryu. Ryu would of had has face handed to him with Fei's faster strikes and longer reach. Plus, Fei's fly kicks would of torn Ryu's head off clean. But Ryu would of cheated and Hadoukened him

  • wich real life? its based on a videogame... of people that can jump over 6 feet ... a good videogame ... but a videogame at the end

  • @seanwukun in real life there is no hadouken, and in the game fei long is smaller than just about everyone so he doesnt have a longer reach. And any streetfighter 2 fan knows Ryu would hand Fei longs ass to him each and every time.

  • i agree with seanwukun. besides the animator didn´t seem to understand martial arts or they just played with ryu against de "computer" o console or wathever they used to play, without studying the nature of the game

  • besides if fei long is based on Bruce lee, then the character would have been prepared against grapling techniques, because Bruce dedicated a lot of time to this area during his intense trainings.

  • YEAH TATSUMAKI SENPUUKYAKU

  • muy muy muy buena pero nome gusto que fei long fuera derrotado

  • memorable fight, RYU THE BEST.

  • fei lon is someone who wants to prove to the world that everything he does is not movie effects.

    yes, bruce lee reference

  • he's like johnny cage of mortal kombat xD

  • Ryu is the best streetfighter

  • boxing

  • @focusdakid

I would say a mix of Karate + Judo + Jujitsu

  • ko by hurricane kick, pwnd :)

  • "not bad, or was it just luck, let's see how you do against a fighter like me", that line always gets my blood pumping for an epic fight.

  • The music fits it perfectly too!

  • wat a finishing move by ryu

    knocked his fucking lights out

  • fei long isn't a bad guy in my opinion

  • @MartianManhunter1987 hes not a bad guy anyway aha. Fei Long is bad ass on streetfighter II : The New Challengers.

  • mean headbutt and Fei Long gets his spurs handed to him

  • Ryu fights an effective but ugly style in this fight. Fei-long is all flashy moves but Ryu gives knees to the chin, trap his foot, breaks his arm and also gave him braindamage with a hurricane kick to the face.

We all remember how Ryu and Fei looked afterwards

Not to mention bald guy, I remember watching this when I was like 10 and some bigger kid from class grabbed me the way he did. Guess what I did? xD

I got in a lot of trouble for that, nothing serious but he cried like a baby

  • Nothing Ugly about it

  • bets fight of the film

  • Dude just got... owned?

  • una de las mejores peleas de este fabuloso juego

  • Time is money!!

  • owned

  • its not tatsumaki-senpuu its tatsumaki senpuukyakuu

  • unlike other movies from games

this is actually pretty cool x)

  • tributo a bruce lee made in stf2

  • Til this day I keep wondering what the "smartass remark" was Ryu made. I mean, it's just not like him to be like that.

  • Who the hell is "chann lee" anyway?

  • Fei long is not bruce lee but a man who want to be like him (like jann lee in DEAD OR ALIVE or Marshall law in TEKKEN). He uses the same fighting style, the screams and he does also cinema. Just to be like bruce was.

If it was reaaly bruce lee, this fight would be different.

  • the fight is a bit too short and its unlogical how he gets beat by ryu so fast. ryu with his karate cant stand a chance against fei longs jeet kune do.

  • yeaa awesome fight! i love fei long and ryu, but fei long more cause hes like bruce lee, fast ad strong and his fighting style is cool. he only lost cause ryu is the main character. in the game i would beat everyone with him!

  • Ouch at 2:38 he submits his arm is that painfull or what?!

  • You can even hear the CRACK sound. Damn.

  • fei long is tight but ryu will destroy him

  • I want to learn To fight like fei long( Kung fu)

But also ryu ( I think taekwando and judo)

  • karate i think it is

  • nooooo its karate mixed with tae kwon do

  • It is not Karate.

    The Style is called 'Ansatsuken'.

It was a style developed to kill, but Ryu and Ken were taught it in the hopes to control the feral side of the art.

It is a entirely fictional Martial Art Style, created by the makers of Street Fighter.

  • Correcto!

  • Yes but it still has a lot of Shotokan traits.

  • Irrelevant my ass, Ryu is a karateka and he fights like one.

  • fei long got served lol

  • Ryu is the Goku of SF.

  • yes, because they are both the main character of their series.

  • And M.Bison is the Broly of SF.

  • Guess Ryu got the fight he want in this movie. In Street Fighter II V, Ryu was reject by Fei Long and instead choose Ken to fighted against during his film. It's good the Ryu here is more faithful to the videogame one then the one in SFII V.

  • Dude Fei Long is awesome, he needs a fireball though hahaha

  • i love how the japanese animators made a chinese based character fei long(bruce lee) get his ass whooped by a japanese character. they call fei long ass whole n all this shit, bruce lee was the shit and thats kinda disrespecting. im french with a bit of mexican but nah thats stupid how he gets beat so fast.

  • You know that this was one of the most epic fights in the movie? Notto say THE most epic?

The Japanese guys did a good job of crediting Bruce Lee by making this fight the best in the movie, it's even the smoothiest. Not even the final battle can come up with this battle.

  • the most epic fight in the movie? dude, have you not seen the ending? How can an easy win for ryu be so epic!? How'd the japanese animators do a good job in crediting him? By letting the character land 5 or 6 punches then take a massive beating? the "smoothiest?" first off thats not even a word and secondly what was so smooth about it? that wasn't the best fight in the movie though...that's an opinion based statement.

  • I have seen it. And with EPIC I don't mean who is obviously going to win, but I mean the action.

In the Final battle, it was pretty boring because of all the talks and the changes between Guile vs Bison, Honda vs Balrog and so on.

Here, The punches always changes, Fei Long then suddenly comes with a special. For me it was the most epic fight here.

I do agree with you on the last point tough.

  • There's action but nothing that can surpass the others. Watch vega vs. chun li, there's action there but that doesn't make it epic dude. I mean personally if you go by the definition of epic, it would have to be amazing.

you gave it away yourself, you knew who was obviously was going to win. if it were epic it would be open ended and amazing therefore leaving room for any alternative storyline...regardless of how popular a character(ryu) is.

  • Bruce Lee would beat Ryu up, hahaha

  • was there ever a sequel to this movie it just seemed so unfinished like at the end where ryu is beuing followed by bison?

  • I don't think so. The only other anime film I'm aware of is the Street Fighter Alpha one, which was released after this one, which doesn't follow the bison story; and doesn't have the same artwork.

  • Do you know if they ever started it but canceled it because i remember like a year after i seen this movie i saw a Preview for a theatre movie where it showed chun li fighting a group of ninjas i only seen it once though I cant find the video anywhere though. i know i seen something like that. But this is definitively he best cartoon movie ever made hands down its in my top 10 movies of all time

  • maybe your thinking about the anime series

  • @kryps1 and is really crap... lol

this is by far the best SF movie ever made

  • @JazzyJames019 isnt a movie its street fighter 2 victory the series

  • @JazzyJames019 yes, there is street fighter alpha but that movie isn't good

  • raising his hands up and one leg up,thats not jeet kune do for sure.but he also have stances for jeet kune do

  • Jeet Kune Do is not a style my friend.

  • you are right is a concept, and jeet kune do is just a name thats why we cannot say that jkd was a different fighting style as bruce said.:)

  • shit he did the crane form, thats not jeet kune do,anyway nice video....ryu wins

  • Are you even familiar with jeet kune do? Because he does a stance you don't recognize dosen't mean it's not JKD.

  • im not familiar with it,im practicing it for ten years, what i meant is the stance he did in this sequence.

  • Jeet kune do can be any style, so long as it's methodical and works for the individual.

  • I luike that flame kick he did.

  • Fei Long uses the Jeet Kune Do fighting style.

  • FeiLong is not that bulky in the games, stupid animators. He looked more like Bruce Lee not Hulk Hogan.

  • I know, those are just "wtf?" muscles. I mean they've obviously never seen an actual fighter.

  • @ClearFire1 Guess you haven't played SSIV then. lol

  • One thing that I don't get and made no sense was when Fei Long did his Flaming Spinkick, he used his left leg WHICH RYU FRACTURED AT 2:36. Other than that, this fight was awesome. My favorite move was when Ryu did that wrist lock takedown at 2:42.

  • I loooooove this movie and love the music thanks:D

  • Come on Ryu should have perryed

  • B.S.
