1nceBitten2wiceShy...thanks a bunch...at the appropriate time please share with Mr. Kline that there are still many who consider him and the Pozo Seco Singers so very special. I haven't done the research yet, but I believe I read that one of the Shaw Brothers was once a member of the Pozo Seco Singers. I so love the Shaw Brothers song "New Hampshire Naturally"...the official song of NH, a state with which I am familiar...check it out on You Tube. Thanks again...the Tunesmith.
@SPENNA99 I managed to dig out a copy of the "I Can Make It With You" LP [Columbia CS 9400], and "Almost Persuaded" is indeed on it.. I would've just popped over and asked my next-door neighbor Loftom Kline for the information but he's still resting up from last month's quintuple bypass surgery, so he prefers not to have many surprise visitors for awhile... -- 1b2s
Beyond awesome!...does anyone besides us have a clue how wonderful these folks were/are?...blessings to them and their loved ones always...thank you Pozo Seco Singers!...Tunesmith
Come on stop it . This is a great song by Phil Ochs. The song is done nicely by many bands but Phil's studio version (not the YT crap) is by far the best. For so many reasons why I'll show you a young brilliant man with so many reasons why he should be living now. I miss him so much.
Discovered this group when I was stationed in Germany in 1969. Taped everything could find by them on reel to reel. Great group. Glad to hear them again.
Thanks, SPENNA99. This really takes me back. Nice collection you have - wondering if you know whether they recorded a whole alb. of Beatles Covers - or just a few tracks....
I still listen to all the Pozo Seco Singers music, and especially like "Time", written by my old friend, Michael Merchant. Susan Taylor was in the same high school class as Farrah Fawcett.
I love 'Pozo-Seco' so much, they really are one of the most underplayed, unheard of groups from the 60's. I remember once in about 1978, or so I met a girl at a club or lounge, and went back to her house for(whatever-wink-wink). Anyway, I remember looking throught her record albums and she had a 'Pozo Seco- album, and loved them too. (not exactly an 'on the edge of your seat story), but to me, it was kinda neat!
so you are welcome. One song I haven't seen on You-Tube that I really enjoy, was 'Strawberry Fields Forever', their cover or rendition of the Beatles hit. Have you heard it?
Thanks for these. I hope that it won't just be oldies like me, listening, but that more people will discover how good these folks were. It can only happen thanks to YouTube and uploaders like you.

Wonderful version of this beautiful song. Not as good as Ian and Sylvia but the next best.
