I don't understand how someone can buy a pet and then give it away so easily just because it's boring for them. I would never give any of my babys (I only have my ferret Misaki right now but 7 of my pets have departed for heaven) up unless it was best for them and I would definately make sure that they went to good, loving, forever homes like with family or experienced owners. Never buy a pet when there's a possibility you're just gonna give it away when you get bored, They're not toys!
i rescued a lovely ferret from a women who was going to let it die by not feeding her and the poor thing was in bad health when i got her iv had her (LeStat)for almost 2 weeks now and is in good health and i love her so much
I also have a ferret. His name is Fred (I know very original ;p ) I got him from couple who were expecting a child. He stole my heart the same socond I saw him. Every day when we are on a walk many people asks me questions like: How much does ferret costs? I'm totally sick and tired of them beacose when I tell them ferrets dig in flowers or they're no good for children they dont belive me. Im always scared that they will buy one and later on leave it in forest or on the street. :((

My outlook on life changed completely when I got my first ferret, a sweet guy someone found on the street and gave to me. He was named Popcorn, and he was an angel. While he has crossed the bridge, he stays in my heart. And if I had the means, I would give every ferret I encounter a forever home. There is absolutely no other pet like them.
its almost been a year now since ive lost both my fuzzys i miss them so much :( they made me smile when things were hard. i wish u guys were still with me RIP fuzzys
I'm sick and tired of the 'cool kids' thinking that they should get a ferret because it's a cool pet just to find out they get into anything and everything, they poop (a lot,) and they steal your socks so you wind up abandoning them. But for the right person, they steal your heart too. So, kids, don't get a ferret unless you know exactly what you're getting into and have a love for ferrets as a whole.
@klcopen13 i kno! people will actually keep them for YEARS then get bored of them and sell them back to freekin petco! thats like having a child till they are 8 and leaving them somewhere. how they are kept in petstores is shameful! idk how anyone could just give them up!
ferrets are the most beautiful animals,wake up people,pets are not throwaway toys.they are living,breathing beings that dont deserve to be treated like they dont matter,they matter more than you!

Legalizing ferrets, my girlfriend and I have already made it our resolve to become a halfway house for these little guys and to find as many as good homes as humanly possible. After all, who wouldn;t a fuzzy angel of their own? (I currently have two, one deaf albino named Spaz and one Sable/Darksable coloring named Bandit x3 both have stolen my heart the only way a ferret could!)

the fact thats sad is they're put in shelters when they can have happy homes that love and care for them and play with them. Some are taken out of pet stores and their owners don't have enough money and they give them up and shelters take them and there we start all over again.

Ferrets are great pets.
I never actually thought about adopting.
But I will for sure now.
I only have one female right now, and when I start my second year of college I plan to buy another one.
But adopting sounds much better.
Thanks for the idea.
I'll probably get more then one though.
