You're absolutely right the young musician of today in nigeria are Total disgrace to what nigeria old school music stands for.I don't know why people decideds to abandon there own culture. Thanks Zookat
This so beautiful combining education about ise and great music! I am impressed. Of course Adunni's lifelong spiritual ise is absoutely outstanding. I love the video! Thank you, zoocat!
This is the first time I will experience this very influensial artist...ORLANDO JULIUS. Cool vibes!!!. The set is looking very good. The casts are awesome..
Susan Wenger, dancers and the musicians. This is classic righthere and zoocat, without you for us in Nigeria...furgetaboutit!!!. You are a scholar!!!.
Ise video by Orlando Julius was made in Oshogbo @ Osun Grove. Thanks to Suzanne Wenger "Adunni olorisha" she is featured in the video. Since her "cossing Over" Orlando made a tribute to her with this video for her love and appreciation for Yoruba Arts and Culture, well done Orlando!
this is great. you know it's sad really...back in the day nigerian tv used to have great productions like this. nowadays we rarely if ever match this kind of quality and imagination. its great that you are at least preserving some of these glory days digitally. its for the benefit of the wider world proving we're not just melodramatic, unimaginative one trick ponies, and to remind the rest of us what we once were and inspire us to reach those heights.
This brings back memories. This and other Nigerian musicians made a lot of authentic songs unlike a lot of the current bunch who blindly copy singers from the West. Thanks zookat for posting this song.
proud to be the first to drop a comment, and will even be more proud to have the only comment. lol. this is once again the shiznit. some mad cool nostalgic afrobeatz!
