  • Did she sign it with a Sharpie?

  • 1- Doesn't the word "Gauche" come from 'Left' or 'Left-Handed'? It could be considered Gauche to criticize another person's use of the word "Art", since Art is Different Things to Different People - No Offense Intended, simply an Observation and Opinion.

2- Are Picasso's Painting "Guernica" or Alan Ginsberg's Poem "Howl" Beautiful? And if so, to whom? Are they Art? And again, to whom?

Art, like Beauty, is in the Heart, Mind, and Soul of both the Beholder, and the Creator.

  • Your Dog (& BF) - A person has to keep some things 'Just for Herself'!

I always considered Art to be an Outward Expression of or by a Person's Heart and Soul - Visual for Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Architecture, Photography, Movies, etc - Auditory for Music or Poetry - The Taste of Food is Culinary Art - Smell is Perfume, Flowers, the Woods...

Hearts and Souls are Very Personal, and Different for Different People, and aren't ALWAYS Good, Pleasant, or Beautiful - Art Reflects this.

  • OMG Beccah! I just realised something really freaky while watching this video.. I realised I've seen it before. About 8 months ago. In fact it was one of the first videos I EVER saw on You Tube. I remember wondering why people wanted to know your dogs name. This is tripping me out.

  • Ok---i deleted the 1st vid, so the one ay my youtube now is the one I intended for people to watch---hope to hear from some folks

  • You know that Neil Young and Robbie Robertson are influences on Tracy Chapman. Thought you'd like to know that.

  • oh no yankees? le sigh

  • I can see you view in art in a really good way and can relate to it. I think depends on the person as to who can see its beauty whats it saying or how they react to the art.

  • you didn't look like a hunchback but it was hard to see you.

  • Hmm Lisa.. Interesting view of art.. although rather limiting imho.

Hey! I know! ( lightbulb over head) Do the Nicktendo "alias name" thing with your dog maybe? How about the dog previously known as " %^#@ "?

Crazy when family & friends watch vids eh? two of my kids watch mine as well as a relative in idaho ( I am Ohio ).

  • I totally agree with you. Art does insert beauty into this world, and beauty inspires.

  • To get the correct angle on your camera, you should probably be just slightly inclined below it, because when you're sitting on your bed, you're naturally "Quasimodo'ed", but.... in truth, I think you're just being a chick about it! You look fine!

It's the lighting what sucks! haha.

Um... and don't worry about the gender misplacement thing. My username is feminine-sounding. Maybe I'll become re-assigned (genderwise)!

    Nah. I like my wienrr.

  • The question was mine. And I'm a guy.

  • None-ya (spelling?) is an excellent name for a pet any way! ^_^

Interesting views on art. I wish I had a viewpoint on art. I do art because I am compelled to do it and can not control myself. Does that count as a view point?

  • This video has inspired a video idea or two...

Thank ye much! Great blog. Oh, and I'm SO looking forward to the lighter demonstration. I dig alternative mediums of art like that.

  • PS, you're welcome for the support. :)

  • lol@top secret dog name.

Tracy Chapman, hell yeah! That's some irony...I just got up from a nap, before I fell asleep I was thinking that the next vid I made would be me singing Gimme one Reason.

  • Your comments on art are really interesting. I'm an art history major so I always love hearing what other people think.

  • Was it you who asked the question? :)

  • No actually it wasn't me. Still fun to see though.

  • Can't post my video response, so I'm hoping you, garyopenshaw2004, torpedofish and whatwouldusaydmb4 will view my own questions at my youtube. (NOT the first post, I'll post them tonight.) I hope to post just a couple of questions that go beyond the usual and get others to do the same. Could be interesting.

  • Wonderful, insightful blog! BTW... I have a friend who lives up in Ypsilanti also, attending EMU!

  • Awesome!! It's an okay place to live....

  • I love your impossibly long vlogs.

  • I like your view on art

  • With love. lol
