does anyone remember the bbc wimbeldon single i think it was called wimbeldon break point it was a mickey take of paul hardcastles 19 it went something like l-l-l-l-l-love 15
Just checked: The other player is Hana Mandlikova, and she beat Budarova 6-0, 6-1 in the first round in 1985. But Budarova did have an upset one year at Wimbledon (think it was Shriver)
Thanks for this. I was 11 at the time, I wanted to be a tennis pro, and Becker and Mcenroe were raw models. I also remember that Chilean R. Acuna got into 1/4 after beating Pat Cash and David Pate -- miracles could happen. Believe it or not, I watched this montage only twice at the time, and I liked it so much that still remembered it -- even if I never watched it again. In fact, I just specifically searched for it.
Unfortunately, my enthusiasm for being a pro waned a few years after.
This was the first and (unfortunately)last time I went to Wimbledon(with school). I have been hooked on tennis ever since. I remember watching Camille Benjamin win after the rain. Saw Carling Bassett win after a struggle on 3. Gabriela Sabatini stepped over me to watch her friend Mercedes Paz!(lost to Carling). Saw Tom Gullickson beat Mercer on the center stands.Bettina Bunge had a wicked serve! Fast and wide. I saw her beating Terry Phelps(good player) in Brighton in 1986.
Thank you for posting this. I met my future wife at Wimbledon that year and had this montage on tape for years until it finally broke. Wonderful memories

This was the last year in which white tennis balls were used at Wimbledon.

Did any decade have worse hairstyle than the 80s? Seriously. Mine were bad, too.
