wow, they sure changed the story. more like they just borrowed some of the names from kipling and then hollywooded them as much as they could. anyway, a very good watch if you don't compare it to the book-which is incomparable, so there ;) and i especially enjoy animals getting back at humans for their misdeeds. good night and "good hunting all, that keep the jungle law!"

Also Cary Elwes is one of the most handsome man in the world, to see in such role? and the Maugli looks just like those monkeys in the jungle, nothing to get romantic impression, besides it is not what Kipling wrote, this is made up story, does not make sense. Why stupid and unattractive men, like Cruise, and types like him get leading roles, Cary Elwes is so much better and kind of not enough roles for him, guess beaurocracy

I'm sorry to see you so worked up about your favorite actor playing an unfavorable role. But I happen to think this is a sweet children's movie, I have lots of childhood memories from it! Also, the actor that plays Mowgli is very handsome in this movie; if you're to say that he looks like a monkey then one could argue that all humans look somewhat monkey-like, since we do share a common ancestor with the apes.

I think Cary Elves is very charming actor and could be better if he was cast instead of Tom Cruise and the others. Bureaucracy always works everywhere.
