One thing that separates Murder By Death from any other music I listen to, is that it's not typical of our generation. There is no repetitive, simple and dumbed down catchy line that turns my brain off. I have to listen to the song multiple times to ever really appreciate it, much like people had to do for Beethoven's symphonies hundreds of years ago.
