Thanks for posting this video. I had seen a picture description, but this is much better. I have a 2000, and all of my locks are making the quacking noise. The passenger front quit working.
Just a note, 7 of the 11 clips broke when I was removing the panel. They look nothing like the ones in this video. Checking a dealer site, they claimed the clips were designed for 1 time use only! Also a dealer wanted nearly $6/clip! But I found some at an auto parts store and made them work.
Mike makes the removal of the door panel look easy and for the most part it is easy. On my wife's 1999 it has about 12 clips. I ended up breaking a few of them as they were very brittle. It might be a good idea to buy a bag of extra plastic door clips. I had to remove both front door panels. I replaced a broken driverside mirror. I also replaced the passengerside window regulator and motor. All parts were bought from 1A-Auto. Great parts and video. Thankyou !
1999-2004 is wrong , cause your showing a door panel that was not used til 2002 ...
Just saying ...... That video on the regularor was awesome im gonna be doing my 02 tomorrow , last time it broke it cost me $350 this time im doing it for under $100 thanks to you .....Big Kudos
These Jeeps are pretty famous for their electric door locks messing up. Wish you had a video covering replacing the those door lock actuators. I'm gonna try, when it warms up a bit, but they look like some sort of primative creature and are probably as difficult to install.
Thanks for the videos, they are really helpful. You convinced me to buy parts for my jeep from 1aauto.
I have a question, I need to replace the blower motor resistor. I found it in under the passenger dashboard and saw the two wires that I need to disconnect. I am having a hard time disconnecting them, is there a trick to it? or do I just need to pull hard enough? I don't want to because I'm afraid of breaking the whole thing.
@ralongor There may be a clasp on the plug end that you need to push on. Some of the plugs have these to help to keep them attached to the resistor so that they do not wiggle free.
I have a 88 Cherokee XJ Pioneer, I can only imagine that it could be done the same way if not easier. But thanks for posting the video anyway.

@againstthywill When we get a Cherokee of this year range in the shop, we'll do a video on removing the door panel.

@aznpowa284 The procedure for removing the earlier door panels is a little different.
