Youtube removed the audio...FROM A MOVIE TRAILER. Good movie studios, that's a great way to advertise your movies. Fucking intellectual property rights on steroids.
wel theres 3 pretty big sexscenes in it that leave nothing to the imagination, strong language, male frontal nuity throughout, gore, sustained menace and large scale death in the finale. tbh it was 16's in the movies but after seeing it even i thaughtit should've been 18's.
Where the fuck did that come from, you asshole? Are you just trolling for attention? I didn't even say anything controversial. Sounds like you're the one getting the inside of his chin pressed by foreskin...
um pretty sure you just used the word troll which is the lamest thing ive ever seen, interesting mouthing off about gay sexual acts when your name is mickie james is my slave, you fucken little faggot...
And this doesn't have anything to do with me. It has to do with your attitude that's going to get you your ass kicked one day if you use it out in public, which I'm sure you don't, you lil internet warrior. All I said was that Sandman should be the next comic adaptation to movie form to prove that comic books are for intelligent people. No reason to fly off the handle in the inappropriate fashion you did. But don't worry, I won't waste another breath on, yes, a TROLL like you.
Before this, all of the Dr. Manhattan clips I've seen have been realistic CG. How come 2 of the one's in here look so crappy? The one where he splits the tank apart and when he smashes through Veidt's glass ceiling.
The song is called 'The End Is the Beginning Is the End" by the Smashing Pumpkins. Funny thing about this song is that the Shit Version of this song was used in a shit movie which was Batman and Robin!
As the kid reads the story, certain frames in the pirate comic resonate with what is happening in the main story. Also, the author of the pirate comic is one of the artists who disappears (to work on the squid-alien 'movie' project)
Actually the story of the Black Freighter reflects the characterdevelopment during the story of some characters (for example Rohrschach and definitely Veidt, who refers to something similar as a black freighter in his last dialogue with Doc. Manhatten...)....but that's hust one of several meanings
I think that it's meant to be something along the lines of due to supeheroes existing in real-life in the Watchmen Universe other genres of comics have become popular instead of the ones featuring superheroes.
It mimmicked what was going on in the story. Not just what was going on in the panels, but the way that a man was turning into a monster, but for perfectly reasonable reasons. The way veidt (if anyone else is reading this, spoiler warning) blew up half new york killing millions, but for good reasons. Thar's my opinion anyway
it is spost to represent the hoplessness of life for them....like living for them is being stranded and duying is the black freighter, getting revenge on it is killing someone
awesome trailers, but it's impossible to tell whether the film will work or not. it could end up being a horrible mash of flashbacks. i hope they don't over use that really annoying 'quick/slow' action style.
rorschach, the only active superhero from the Watchmen group discovers the death of former team-mate the Comedian (Ed Blake) and now believes that there's a plot to destroy all former costumed heroes. It gets deeper though when there's a warning of a war and stuff..
go reead the graphic novel, i highly recommend it.
The group is The Minutemen. The title "Watchmen" comes from the Latin phrase "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" which translates to "Who watches the watchmen?"
Dear Lord, stop fucking calling it a novel. It's a comic book. That doesn't imply anything negative whatsoever, so stop trying to convince your pretentious little minds that Watchmen is anything else.
I disagree, a comic book implies something that is serialized, usually almost endlessly. Watchmen had a distinct beginning, middle and end, hence, graphic novel.
you buy it at a bookstore, its not a comic. Its a graphic novel, two completely different things. IMO comic books fail in comparison to graphic novels.
The differences between a graphic novel and a comic book series are subtle but distinct, and those distinctions are in the writing.
Comic books are written to be episodic, meaning each is a self contained plot which begins and resolves within the span of a single issue. Each plot must resolve so that the status quo between the villain and hero is maintained and future episodes are made possible.
Graphic novels, though, are not episodic because they do not resolve within the span of a single issue. The graphic novel employs a definitive plotline which has a distinct beginning and end, and the resolution does not maintain the status quo because future episodes are not planned.
It's like a movie versus a TV series. You can watch a TV series from the middle because its episodic. You can't watch a movie from the middle because it's a complete story.
Can someone please tell me where I have heard this song before!? Haha I know it is by Smashing Pumpkins but I don't recall hearing it on the radio, maybe another movie?
it's" The Begining is the end is the begining" it was on the Batman & Robin soundtrack. There was music video to the faster version of the song which was called "The End Is the Beginning Is the End"
Why are they trying to make Roarschac into some kind of daredevil. The one and only time he tries to make a death defying leap in the novel he practically kills himself landing on a trash can. The only thing he does out of the ordinary is act psychotically, burning people alive, breaking fingers, stubbing out cigarettes in their eyes other than that he's physically average.
actually no, they say hes in pretty good shape generally. In the novel they mention him excelling in boxing and gymnastics when he was young, im assuming hes still good at those things :P. I dont think it would be weird to see him leap around and all, i figured he'd be pretty strong and agile.

HE said something along the lines that if he didn't change some elements to the ending then the studio would've made him change most of the story all together for some reason I can't remember, making the movie a watered down PG-13 movie. and he didn't want that to happen.
Most of the ending is still there, he just got rid of the giant squid and replaced it with a machine that mimics Dr. Manhattan's powers.
