High speed steel is steel that keeps its properties at high speed and temps, like the steel seen in saw blades and drill bits. A lot of the 'M' type tool steels are high speed steels.
so true, it depends on what you use it for and under which conditions. we all know the video in which nutnfancy managed to break a really good knive just because it was to frikken cold! wouldnt have happened in the summertime.
I may eventually, this steel project is taking longer than expected, so it would be a while....
I mean, the first segment of the steels is on 10 different non stainless ones, and it will prolly take another 2-3 days or so to get finished and uploaded.
What is a High Speed Steel? You used the term when describing Tungsten (W).

no problem, more to come.
It is very true, each type of good steel has its advantages and disadvantages.
Some are all around a good balanced blade steel, but I guess that is its disadvantage, it is spectacular at nothing...
Anyway, more to come soon.

thanks man, thats not all of them, just most, some steels have additives like Copper, or Sulphur (not a good additive), aluminium, etc....
QuietBearr 2 years ago
Yeah and the coatingmaterials? are you going to do a vid on that?
