The reason why is simple. Sonic and Mario caused the greatest video game console wars in the history of gaming. If everyone remembers, it used to be just Nintendo and Sega, which I would've been much happier with. It sucks that Microsoft just HAD to enter this whole industry.

Seeing them together battling together is very exciting to me, so I don't care what anyone else says to be honest.
