  • You idiots dont realize who this bartender is do you? He's part owner of one of the nicest cocktail lounges in NY, possibly the world, and co author of one of the best and most inspiring books on mixology I've ever read. Dale Degroff was a teacher to him and even wrote the foreward in their book. Unlike all of you bon vivant wannabes I make a living as a real bartender in a nice hotel lounge and know what I'm talking about. This guy has more knowledge in his pinky than any of you will ever have.

  • @cincitymenace yeah whatever fanboy go suck his cock if you will but this drink was tradtionally made with bacardi rum according to cuban historians and also as RONNIESCOTT says simple syrup is not in the original recipie....you can use simple syrup to sweeten up thr drink but the maraschino liquer is the sweetener of this drink and if he's such a great cocktail maker why is he free pouring? All the great bartenders i know use the jigger.

  • @bolch88bb880 years later we throw a couple drops of syrup and you're going to get bent out of shape about it and insult people? You're 32 years old and troling youtube to talk shit? Come on man. This is the way the drink is made today and you can say what you want about me I serve people from all over the world who luckily are more enlightened than you. Theres evidence of orange curacao being used in early manhattens but youre not flipping out over that are you? Drinks evolve dude u should too

  • Sorry dude 10 cane rum is shite....go be a banker and stop fucking peoples drinks up

  • this guy obviously doen't have a clue.

simple syrup in a hemingway daiquiri ?? everybody knows that he was diabetic hence the maraschino to replace the sugar.

  • cuban rum is industrial not agricole which means it is made from molasses not juice....

  • @uleh101 agricole is made from juices extracted directly from the sugar cane. I dont know why everyones trippin on him. he's one of the great pioneers in modern mixology look up "employees only nyc" these guys are brilliant

  • Yes I wouls love a copy. Have you been to Raouls in Oxford? The best cocktail bar in the world - many awards and I sometimes drive 200 miles for a weekend cocktail. They are on the internet - Rob Poulter is the man!

  • Cool - I love making cocktails!

  • Thank you! I am a publisher of multimedia magazine where this video was used. We had an interesting article on cocktails in May-June 2006 issue and if you wish I can share a Free copy of that issue with you. Let me know if you want me to email or post a link for you.
