actually, the original L7 lineup was donita, suzi, jennifer and a guy named roy koutsky on drums, who quickly got fired. they went through several drummers before dee joined. jennifer left to go back to school.gail was an east coast gal and didn't want to relocate. here's a true fact i learned from a friend who worked for L7.if the band hadn't broken up, janis tanaka would have been fired. turns out that donita wasn't as happy with janis' playing as she was when she hired her. "too many notes".
