Actors today can't act any more. Extremely bad acting, very poor artistic quality! Czech film of the 1960 beat all Holly wood or American production. It is really disappointing. Great story but poor acting, poor directing. Watch the Czech film Modlitba pro Kateřinu Horovitzovou (A Prayer for Katarina Horovitz) - 1965 you will see the great difference. It is on youtube just search for it, with English Subtitle.
Note: The Polish resistance, the one least talked about, (probably since it was murdered and its existence hidden by the commies) was by far more effective and widespread than its French and German counterparts. I would prefer if this movie had been made about the Arma Krajowa than the smaller Żydowski Związek Wojskowy.

I loved this movie. The Warsaw uprising was the most courageous battle of WW2. The thing I'd like to know is; was some of this movie based on Leon Uris' - Mila 18. I've read The Stroop report, It was heavily edited. Sadly it's out of print

If you are interested the Russian partisans who were resistance fighters did make a substantive difference to German progress on the Eastern front. Partisans tied down German police and army units and disrupted rail and other networks on a colossal scale.
@casperdog777 Highly doubtful there has been many resistance fighters who have recieved weaponds and training and were far better off then the ones in Poland and yet they were utterly crushed
