  • How did you set up the spreadsheet to look like that?

  • ur son is going to be very smart coz ur an awesome teacher

  • Can you use Google docs spreadsheets instead of excel? Therefore students don't have to have office to use these files, Excel is an expensive tool, and I am not sure how well Openoffice handles these files.

  • my 9 week year old son is watching..lol

  • can you please make a video of the gaussian curvature

  • khan you are the man! thanks for your explanation it is very understandable for a subject that is so confusing.

  • The formula written down in the beginning is actually the density, while it is said that is the "probability to get any x". Maybe it is a didactic trick since it might give the right intuition, but strictly speaking it it false, the probability to get any specific real number is always zero. The probability is obtained by integration over the density.

    Just nitpicking...

  • I have trouble downloading the xls file. The website cannot be opened. What's going on?

  • can you help me please what is the a way to divide large numbers. 246400/4488

  • I WOULD LIKE TO BE AS INTELIGENT AS THIS GUY IN THIS VIDEO.HEHEHEHE

  • I was gonna try this on my new excel 2010, but I decided to draw a picture of me riding a giraffe instead.

  • Can you do a video on how to actually make the curve on excel?

  • I like cake.

  • very nice stuff.

I think the weird graphs come from the fact that you are trying to reach an odd final position using even number of trials.

    Cheers

  • Hi Sal, I am ardent follower of all your videos.Just wanted to ask you from this video on convergence that why does difference between 2 distribution dips, then increases drastically and then again gradually decreases? Why doesn't it gradually decreases from the begining?

  • dude this is good stuff

put more excel stuff on ^^

    WOULD be epiccccccc

  • nice vdo

  • Looks like there're actually two errors Sal,

    1. Excel cannot store numbers larger than 9.99999999999999E+307 i.e. FACT(170) is the largest factorial it can store

    2. The sawtooth patterns occur when we have non-integer right/left moves (rows 9 & 10) i.e. when trying to evaluate non-integer factorials (which Excel doesn't do intrinsically. Require the gamma function which needs to be programmed in).

  • Thanks. That explains it. Reminder to self: test spreadsheet before recording video :)

  • Thanks so much for this video I am really struggling with understanding the nornal distribution.

  • great video, could you please add the download link in the description.
