I wrote you a comment on the mom's view about how my marriage also broke up because of our baby. We were a spontaneous couple who travelled nonstop and were out to eat 5 times a week. After the baby our relationship couldn't survive. Our daughter was also planned. We had no clue it would effect us in that way. But if you look at the little videos of her I put up, you'll see that she's happy and healthy and it all worked out.

I have been divorced for 6 yrs and have full custody of my 2 daughters. Family and friends is the key. The main thing is to remember to take care of yourself so that you can take care of the most important thing in your life....your daughter. There are some days that will be hard. Be positive and never talk negative around your daughter about her father or argue with the him in front of her . Most of all, enjoy your time with your daughter, friends and family. That's cool you've been single for a year after a divorce and are handling it well. I've been single for 3 years now after my divorce with primary custody of my 6 year old son and know it's tough to be a single parent. Your child relies on you for everything. Even when my son can get a chance to spend time with his mother, he cries till he gets his way to spend time with me.

@brodie9909 lol, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. i'm graduating from a big name university with a science bachelors this year but in this job market, it doesn't even matter. i have friends that graduated and are jobless living with their parents, personally from what i've seen, academic success is a very poor judgement of success in life; i have a 4.0 gpa and it doesn't matter; i'm not saying quit school but just spend less time worrying and more time doing things you want to do
