  • when police say "we dont want to arrest you"

they really mean "we can't arrest you legally"

  • RESPECT!

  • The State Police Just friended me on twitter....WTF Do They Think I Am Stupid???This Is Pure Intimidation! The Police The ADVERSARY!!! The Police Friended ME!!! INTIMIDATION!!

PURE AND SIMPLE I LOVE FREEDOM! THEY HATE IT!! Please How Can I fight Back against this intimidation is it because I like Ron Paul!!!

  • the press are a bunch of faggots go cops

  • the protestors need to get a job, they are complaining a bout a police state but they think the government owes them something. btw assholes of you get a tax return you didnt pay any taxes. get a fuckn job

  • Is it just me who thinks the press is pretty much just being a douche? Ô__ô Sure he's got rights, but still.

  • "It is not legal for the press to be yelled at by the police."

LOL. Please, show me that law! I'd love to see where the law says officers can't yell at the press.

I agree, officers shouldn't be in the habit of yelling unless it is necessary for their duties, but no there is no law against it. That's a silly statement.

People, please, don't start spouting off quasi-legal "I have rights!" mumbo-jumbo. Know what your rights are specifically and state them specifically, not in generalizations

  • ows is a bunch of socialists, but the cops were in the wrong

  • @SanguineBullet667 no we are not all socialists :) sorry to dissapoint you.

  • It's the pigs who block the sidewalk. Put the police out of there and the sidewalk is clear.

  • anyone notice that the guy with the camera is a yes man??

  • YOU DO NOT NEED A PRESS PASS! THE REPORTER IS 100% CORRECT THE POLICE ARE 100% WRONG!!!! GO LOOK UP The Ten Legal Commandments of Photography!!!

  • cops can stand in a public area to stop people from standing there. hypocrites.

  • @PitBullsBiteHard ikr! lol I was thinking that too!! lmfao!!

  • Real vegetarians don't talk to pork.

  • I love how they always say how easy it will be just to follow their orders. I am so sick of cops smiling while violating peoples rights, like being nice to me while you are raping me makes it ok.

  • good job. the journalist kept his cool, did not gratuitously provoke the police but calmly held his ground and explained why he had a right to do what he was doing where he was doing it.

  • Police are allowed to assault people for no reason now days.

  • Its too bad you can't "Boobie Trap" your clothing so when the cops grab you they will get infected with a deadly virus. Of course they'll arrest you and tell the judge that its your fault that they grabbed you for no reason but they'll be gone in a few days so who cares? They never should have grabbed you like that.

  • Those cops are clearly unfamiliar with the Yes Men.....

  • and to think as a child i actually wanted to be a policeman..

  • Its simple.......just follow the police officers simple request and u can stay and demonstrate........but no, let's cause trouble in the name of the constitution!

  • @genetheman82 Our government... teaches the whole people by its example. If the government becomes the lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.

  • @genetheman82 He's not a demonstrator. He is independent press. They are censoring what the press can see. A patriot does not obey illegal orders. Is he supposed to give up his rights because the police said so?

  • Dumb liberals blogging here....sad that people good patriotic people like me actually have put our lives on the line defending all the rights you liberals push to the limit and take andvantage of! Sad but true..........

  • @genetheman82 lol didnt the police almost kill a protester who put his life on the line for this country, then had him locked in a cell and refused medical treatment

  • What the occupiers are doing is illeagal. If you take over a park or assult a police officer, then that is not covered by the Constitution. They say they rely on the First Amendment, but if you were to convert to communism, you would HAVE to defy the Constitution. OWS does not do anything peacefully, they just want an un-sanitary enviorment and a fucked up world.

  • Yeah!!! Obviously he knew what he was talking about, as they didn't arrest him. So if they aren't legally allowed to arrest him, why all the pushing? Why try and make him leave? Police misconduct right there! What law were they enforcing?

  • I wonder sometimes whether anyone of the police officers realizes (for one second only) that he is on the wrong side.

  • man...if this was in LA, this journalist would of been beaten, arrested, shot, and have some crack sprinkled on him by the police

  • I wonder if Ben Franklin had a "Press pass"

  • Sir, we are asking nicely. Please let us rape you of your rights.

  • Corporate Press is corrupted anyway. They suppress the real truth, and only on the internet can you find real truth. Corporate press even put out false news, entirely faked incidents by the CIA, FBI, and the real truth gets exposed, and they won't even cover it. Check out my favorites for proof positive of computer generated images being shown as live tv on 9/11. There were only fly=by planes, and planted explosives, even some victims were faked- true. INVESTIGATE ACT

  • Female OFC gets no respect. She needs to handle her business better and lay down the law.

  • About time!

  • Maybe I should move to China, or Russia and I'm an asshole. This is the response I get for stating my opinion...as I said before the irony is mind blowing.

  • Hopefully pension cuts to police. Then I'll be happy.

  • @vinsong exactly, we need the police to suffer benefit haircuts so they'll smarten up.

  • still people need to respect the police force. you should honnor them and listen to them when they tell you to move. the only diffrence is that they can actually have a job unlike the protesters there normal people like all of them

  • @brentman121 Respect is earned, if the police want respect they should learn to respect people too.

  • @Icureditwithmybrain Police follow orders and they do what they can within reason. Respect is certainly a two way street but thinking you are entitled to do whatever you want and then getting mad that the police are trying to keep order doesn't mean the police aren't respecting you.

  • @brentman121 Whether they have a job or not is irrelevant. If they have no legal authority to make you move, meaning it is not illegal to stand where you stand, then you have no possible reason to move. Them saying something is illegal does NOT make it illegal. If you bow to that, then they can say whatever and make you do whatever with your sycophantic smile. THAT is a police state.

  • @brentman121 WRONG. police need to uphold the law. period. It is not illegal or unlawful to stand still and film. That is a fact. It is however a dereliction of duty for the police to misrepresent the law and exceed their powers. At 29 you should know that. And there's no such thing as "suma wrestling". Clown

  • Enough with the "whole world is watching"...

I support the movement, but i hate that chant.

  • @treid100182 Okay, well hopefully, now that you've posted your sentiments regarding that chant, they'll stop using it. I'll try and get the word out too!

  • Those cops shouldn't be there. They should be apprehended with a citizens arrest.

  • Excuse me, 'from a Veteran'

  • Yes count me as #4, because I dislike the video, "I hate freedom" its so easy to label people its almost ironic. We're so comfortable with our lifestyles in America that we believe this is an example of a "police state". Obviously this is coming from a cop, but also for a veteran.

  • thank you

  • Get some

  • Arrest him for WHAT? OBSTRUCTION or one of other laws created to make police a higher class of citizen?

  • Three people hate freedom.

  • Yeah . . . yeah . . . The First Amendment sure does taste good. Been so long, I had forgotten what it tastes like. But NOW I remember . . .

    #OWS

  • love it. no one on the steps..onto the steps..

  • Look at the smirk on that cop's face at 1:57. Almost makes me wanna smack him upside the head.

  • The Forces of Darkness are terrified of those who know and exercise their Constitutional rights.

  • what is that female officer doing? she is so weird!

  • OccupyNYPD (with bullets)

  • So many bootlickers. The most unamerican thing a man can be.

  • Notice that the police in this video are mostly all high ranking. Where are the rank and file? That one cop had the rank of chief and aren't there over 10,000 people who are police officers in NYC? Why are the executive corps doing a grunt cop's work?

  • Police: You need a Press Pass.

Last time I checked, somebody with a Press Pass got arrested. Hypocrites.

  • @pong224 The police are just doing their job, trying to make sure that the protest doesn't block whole streets, which it has before.

  • It's not right that you have to struggle so hard to maintain your legal rights.

  • @genetheman82 You said Fox News...hahah, that's amusing.

  • @genetheman82 wow all caps, you surely got your point across didn't ya buddy

  • @genetheman82 do you by any chance watch fox news? lol

  • @mike9346 AMEN

  • it's working

  • Now that everyone has a video camera and access to the internet, it's like Orwells 'Nineteen Eighty-Four'...in reverse...now it's the Proles who are doing the surveillance of Big Brother.

  • @twosquirrelly

Inspired observation, dude. P'raps the only thing missing from the novel is the tech in the hands of the many.

  • Since when was disobeying an unjustified police order against the law? Fuck the police.

  • @genetheman82 Your blatantly an aggressive southern american white trash blind sheep. Make peace not war.

  • @genetheman82 Patriotism ruins one's perspective of the world, and the police aren't police anymore, there Gestapo Nazi's.

  • @genetheman82 0/10

  • @genetheman82 FUCK YOU!!!Hater go kiss the cops ASS because that sounds like you with your stupid ignorant comment...Your obviously one of the sheeps//

  • I'd like an overview shot from above of the whole area.

  • probably the cop ass licker

  • great tactic... spam things that aren't spam just because you don't agree ..asshole trolls

  • Thats how you stand your ground! Props!

  • Been informed can be a powerful tool ,just as refusing to be intimidated when you know that is exactly the effect someone is trying to have over you. Intimidation can not work if people refuse to bow to authority that is not justified.

  • technically without a press pass he's not really a member of the "press", he's just a dude w/ a video camera!

  • so the police just start inventing things that are legal and illegal. great...

  • he's the dude from the Yes Men Save The World (check imdb)

  • So well done. It's so much harder for them to oppress you if you refuse to be oppressed. Do not give away your rights.

  • there are also nice cops out there and those guys except the female were one of them, the guy with the camera provoked a way too much

  • wow, he is brave.

  • "You can't yell at me! I'm the press! Look at my fancy camera! I'm important!!!"

  • @DavidLister6000 You may wish to re-read this if it's been a while.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

  • @brewhore yeah....and I seem to recall something in NYC about blocking sidewalk traffic and vehicular traffic. I will make you a bet. You go stand in the middle of an intersection and see what happens.

  • @DavidLister6000 At what point was he standing in an intersection or blocking sidewalk traffic? What exactly is the bet, and what does it have to do with the first amendment and the right to free speech, freedom of assemblage, and freedom of the press?

  • @brewhore All of the Bill of Rights have limitations and exceptions...

  • @DavidLister6000 Do they? or have some men in dresses just convinced you of that? IF a right can be attenuated how is it a right and not just a permission granted by those with a monopoly on force?

btw, you still have yet to answer what the bet is, and where the man in question was breaking any of the limitations you believe are set on the first amendment rights.

  • @brewhore yes they do, perhaps you should read up the the USSC. So, you can block traffic but its okay is your say your using the 1st Amendment? I don't think so, hasn't worked for any OWS yet I don't think...

  • @brewhore if the police decided to arrest him for blocking the sidewalk, it would have been lawful. the police chose not arrest him. just as the police may decide not to ticket someone for not using a turn signal. you really don't know much about civics or law do you?

  • you see that female cop was more ready to be violent than the men.

  • EXCELLENT! If everyone stood up and excercised their rights this country we truly be FREE.

  • @SpyOpz94 I tried that, with courtesy, yet stating my rights clearly, unfortunately there were no cameras around, and I was swiftly arrested. when asked what for, the officer told me "I'll think of that later." Apparently they have up to 5 hours to state a reason for arrest. Now I have it permanently on my record... But much respect for these press guys standing up for themselves! Wish I'd had a camera on me!

  • NICE!

    FUCK THE POLICE STATE!
