  • fucking rock

  • 1:14 and folks... that is A REAL BASS PLAYER

  • Led Zep or Blue Cheer are the 1st metal. They sing about sorcery and the middle ages and shit. This song is just monstrously, heavy, molten blues.

  • Dear, Mick Jagger: Fuck you. Roger Daltrey just mopped up the floor with your limey little ass. All hail the Who!

  • Excuse me, while I whip this out

  • @tellurideisawesome Agreed, they listen to one or two songs by these big bands that changed the world, dont get why they're so great, and pass it off as over rated shit. Fuck man, I had to drill it into so many peoples heads that zeppelin and the who and hendrix, etc, where amazing. (which is sad, because they should already know!) so now I lost faith in most of my generation.

  • original metal. brilliant.

  • @KimballFarm Metal? What the hell are you on? This is pure Rock & Roll!

  • @ThunderFingers999 Not If He It's Beside Of Moon

  • is keith moon using a double bass for this song?

  • Pete is so badass!!!

  • It doesn't rock harder and it doesn't rock more sincerely than this. In 1979 Time Magazine called The Who "rock's outer limits." Nothing else need be said. Nothing else CAN be said!

  • Honest sexy latin brides "busizz4me.info"

  • Nobody in rock can touch this !

    Simply The Best!!

    Long Live THE WHO

  • 1:10 first thrash/speed metal riff

    Chug on that E, pete!

He does it more in the live at leeds version

  • Pete sure can put Van Halen to shame!

  • what happend to are generations music it sucks i think the economy is better

  • Roger might not write much music but he can sing with the best of them.

  • Fantastic tune by one the greatest live bands ever -- at their peak!

  • What is that saxophone tune after YMB?

  • i say the who led zep and beatles were the most influental bands in history

theyre were the best in thier time but now kids dont know what good music is

who else agrees that we should throw away escape the fate and get more the who and led zep :D

  • how about everybody stope saying which drummer is better and settle on - they are both amaziing. ok?

  • 40 years ago this month

  • doesn't get much better than this

  • keith moon is the shit

  • wow travis barker and joey jordison suck

  • What bands lack today is this raw power and amps turned up the whole fucking way.

  • 6:32.... Bill Murray in caddy shack!!! LOL!

  • neil peart is a guy with 2 thousand drums , just to impress people ..... mediocre heart attached ti his empty lyrics too ....

  • Led Zeppelin stole it ////)))))

  • The Who were second to none!

  • My father saw The Who back in 1977 and he says that The Who is better live than Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones......HAHAHAHA!

  • @MrLanceM21 Idk if overall to zeppelin but they kick the shit out of the stones and beat them both to hell in a live performance.

  • @MrLanceM21 The Who is the greatest live band. The Rolling Stones deserve the title greatest rock n roll band, ( I prefer The Who). Led Zep was the band of the 70's. The Beatles band of the 60's. Michael Jackson entertainer 80's. Garth Brookes entertainer 90's. Elvis entertainer 50's. Beatles most successful and influential. Led Zep the most popular.

  • keith moon the drum god!

  • moon is the master end of!!!!who can copy him??

  • This was the best band live in rock and this version of YMB absolutely kills....Nobody can touch the Who in their prime.

  • Moon was a beast.

  • Pete tore his sleeve by the armpit from windmilling, XD

  • KEITH MOON IS THE BEST DRUMMER EVER!

  • i love keith

  • 3:19 They used that snippet in a scene in 'School of Rock', where Jack Black's character had a tv screen in the room showing a montage of several great guitarists.

  • The windmill move at 3:19 is how god would play if he played guitar

  • The 4 best as it gets....John E., Pete T. and Keith M. unparalleled to this day!...

  • and roger.D!

  • You KNOW that's right!!

  • @georgehenry76 you forgot Roger D.

  • @georgehenry76 I didn't 4get Roger, He just didn't have the creativity of the other 3 geniuses.

  • @georgehenry76 Forgot good old Roger D. :)

  • I got this dvd... It's almost like seeing the who live. Probably the closest I'll ever get :(

  • "Ain't got sweet fuck all"

    Great line

  • Love how daltry turned up in full hippy get up and townsend looks like hes just turned up for a shift in a garage !! what a contrast ! Sheer class !

  • not to mention entwistles bitchin leather skull suit!

  • sounds a little like black dog by zepplin with the singing and the riff back and forth but alot more energy

    great song

  • they were all fucked up

    in the rad way...

  • superfuzz!

  • If youre a big Keith Moon fan you need to read the book Full Moon. Great insight into Keith Moons life on the road . He was the original hotel trashier. Drove a brand new Cadillac into a hotel swimming pool and much more.

  • Sounds like something I would do if I had the money to burn.

  • watch keith at 0:26

"all the people, they step BACK!" lol..

  • Who the fuck is 'Buddy'? All stoned and shit!

  • This is a band in full-octane, kick-ass mode!

  • Keith fucking Moon ladies and gentleman! I love the faces he makes when he pounds on the drums, in fact I make the same faces when I try to play this. Here's the difference though, he's making those faces because he's owning the drums and killing those rolls, I make those faces because I'm shitting my pants trying to play that fast and those rolls are owning me! HAHA R.I.P. Keith, love ya man, CHEERS!

  • come on keith arise and fc young man blues on expert!

  • Everyone has an opinion man. Some like Peart, some like Bonham, some like Moon. Everyone has their number one drummer. So there.

  • some where in the irish sea.

  • If they had a live battle between Neal Peart and Kieth Moon that would be the god of all concerts.

  • thats because today youth can't handle the real thing

  • i totally agree and im a teenager so coolio

  • Neil Peart can suck, Keith Moon is god.

Great performance by an amazing band.

  • @mrwilliamjoel SO FUCKING RIGHT MATE!

  • @mrwilliamjoel actually, keith moon, neil peart, danny carey, & bill ward, all rip...just stating a fact...

  • @nobrizzle yeah, Peart is good. but not as good as Keith moon.

  • @mrwilliamjoel Dont diss neil peart he knows where he stands. But Nobody is better than bonzo

  • @Taygoo15 Except for Keith Moon.

  • @mrwilliamjoel Neil Peart can SUCK? Why so hostile? Bonham Rules!

  • @mrwilliamjoel woah now, Peart is also a god

  • now this is music. Real instruments at the best. Not today's shitty electronic sound music

  • Here is what is wrong with this video .. It only has 10778 views and soul-ja boy " crank that soul-ja boy " has 10 Million views. People need to look back to see todays bands have very little to offer.

  • Won't happen. Would involve:

    1. People learning something. They don't like learning...

    2. Learning that today's bands AND their standards SUCK. They REALLY don't like learning things like that, even if they get something better in return.

  • @micmore007a Yeah man, fuck Soulja Boy and all this generic pop tripe. The Who are amazing!!

  • @micmore007a - you've got a very good point. but it only really works as a generalization, as there are many bands and artists in existence today that definitely do have a lot to offer. the who were lucky in that they weren't inundated with influence from homogeneous media. a lot of music today is just going way too much with the flow or simulacra of bands like the who.

  • @micmore007a It's because that video is hilariously bad so everyone wants to see it.

  • @micmore007a i think the bigger more sad problem is that miley cyrus has 120 mil

  • @micmore007a That sounds like Old Man Blues, to me.

  • @micmore007 Dont even mention rap when talking about The Who.

  • @micmore007a I agree, but don't waste your time being salty. Let rappers be rappers and rockers be rockers. Rip it, Pete!!!!

  • @micmore007a Well. I hate to say it but, music is just taste. And if the majority of the people in our world likes one kind of it, who are we to say that they are wrong.

  • @micmore007a Well, people who listened to this either are OD, in prison or drinking family coffee :D

  • The incomparable Who. The greatest live rock band there has ever and will ever be.

  • The Isle of Dry - for most

  • keith: stick nice catch!!

  • I read that Robby Krieger of The Doors watched from the side of the stage. He was blown away. Apparently The Who would have gone on and one that night but Townshend's guitar packed up after a bit too much heavy-handed treatment. Angry, he bashed it up and stormed off stage in a bad mood.

  • Hey Kenny Jones! Watch this video and learn something.

  • No hi - hat in sight !

  • That's how real men do it.

  • This song is a definition of a good band loving music

  • At their supreme best right here. Every one of them brilliant.

  • !!Awesome!! So much strenght and speed and sharpness. KEITH MOON WAS NOT HUMAN.

  • keith is such a god

  • 0:54 watch keith

  • 0:54 watch kieth

  • i'm so glad that people we're smart enough to invent video cameras so we can relive legends such as these

  • THE WHO what can you say this is just Brilliant, absolutly Brilliant.RnR at it's very best.

  • i love them live.

  • Look at Moonie go. This is fucking tremendous.

  • They simpley loved what they did.....not like today where the suits rule.

  • nice catch keith @ 0:55

  • Question is, can Pete Townshend play guitar. Answer No, not in the traditional sense. But WHO gives a fuck. It's a Sublime noise. Power chords, Feedback,

  • Pete Townsend certainly can play guitar, his style is just original, one of the all time greats,he invented the use power chords, punk style rock, just brilliant

  • Pete also could play some cool finger pickin' type stuff, like on Tommy, what, is it Overture, just before the part about Captain Walker didn't come home?

  • Tommy is their best album

  • no quadrophenia is

  • Who'S Next and Live at Leeds, dimwits.

  • Ive been to alot of live gigs but im sure 60s and 70s were unsurpassed nothing beats the raw energy of these gigs

  • as for the hippy philosophy of peace and love, everyone was waiting for townshend to smash his SG. Pete never did subscribe to it lol

  • all i can say is wow and awesome! and i was there.

  • You were there?? and you say Pete "can't play the guitar"

    (in any sense??)

    You must still be trippin"

    WOW

  • Maybe I worded that statement badly. No doubt he could Play but he put the emphasis on entertaining rather than virtuoso playing. sometimes it could be a bit sloppy but always great visually. If you check Don't get fooled again, he is clearly just messing about. Sounds awesome tho. I saw them live @ 10 times so I must have been impressed.

  • Awesome!!

  • wow!!!

  • awesome
