cats imitate the sound bats make (the clicking sound bats use to see) to make what ever is out of reaching or flying ground so they can get to it!....

I've had quite a few cats and they've all done this when watching some prey that's out of reach. Really cute. :-)

Awl what cuties...I miss my cats..they did the same thing when looking at birds..but were more vocal. They also liked the laser. The only thing I hated about my cats was that they tried to jump in my lap when I was going to the bathroom..kinda gross.

I've never had my cats do that, but that's a pretty cool sound. Be sure not to let the cats touch the laser dot, eventually they stop chasing it if you do:(

My cats make the same noise at birds outside the lounge windows. We call it 'bird-talkin', strangely enough. You have very nice cats btw - mine go loopy for the laser too.
