I've played through Halo 1,2 and 3 and I've noticed something :

Halo 1, you escape.

Halo 2, you fight a boss.

Halo 3, you fight a boss and escape.

About the Johnson survives becous of bubble shield:

1.- it can,t servive the power of the pillar of autumn, for instance look at halo legends in Odd One Out, the bubble shield is destroyd in a lot smaller explosion than the explosion of the pillar of autumn.

2.- a bubble shield can be seen with te naked eye.

by the way. At the and of halo combat evolved cortana says that there is no live form left on that halo. looks a bit of glitch.

While Master Chief is in the longsword, he needs to find a ship with a slipspace drive so cortana searches for signals again, they find a pellican on the back of a rock and johnson, a ONI person, an ODST and a Pilot are on board. MC picks them up and they hijack a covenant cruiser and go into slipspace to reach. i wont spoil it from there if you want to read it. message me if u like and ill tell you!. @halokiller031 kay well they get to reach, and the covy HAVENT galssed the whole planet, they are searching for something, a special rock with coordinates to halo imprinted in it i believe, been a while since i read it, master chief meets about 5 other spartans from his team and there is a massive battle, he flys off to get on with halo 2 after this with the others, and they seperate after a massive fight on the unyielding heirophant which is a covy space station.. hes not the last one!

Halo 2's legendary ending is not legendary, its "The Ending", and ODST's legendary ending is pointless, as the Halo 3 legendary ending also, they are both pointless, what we understood about them will never change, Bungie has no plans on making new Halos for the future, so, i dont find them useful.

Halo 2 legendary ending IS true to a certain extent. meaning this is the same cutscene you will see for EVERY difficulty, there is no kind of gif of anykind in Halo 2, although "Halo:Combat Evolved"s ending is legitamate. in advance Halo 3's ending should be a stone monument with "117" engraved. the legendary ending shows master chief talking to cortana in the rear of a frigate, in space about what happened to them after the jump. it ends with the sillouette sight of a "forerunner shield world".

Trinilan1 you know bubble shields aren't invincible, they "break" after enough damage, and im almost 100% sure that 100,000,000 degrees (heat of autumn exploding) is enough to break a bubble shield, also, the piece that the explosion was on fell into space, even if they didn't die from that somehow.
