  • I have a 1985 Ninja 600R. It will not start or run via the carburators. They have been cleaned thoroughly and the idle adjustment screws are out by 2 1/2 turns. I can use a squirt bottle w/ gas, or starting fluid and it will start and run smoothly. Only when the fuel is burned off, it dies. The outer two vacuum ports are connected to the vacuum switch, but the tank is removed and the other two ports are not connected to the petcock. Why aren't the carbs allowing fuel to enter the intake?

  • @jmyshry could be clogged pilot circuit. could also be a problem with petcock. ensure fuel is flowing to the bowls of the carbs, then work your way through the system.

  • I have a problem with my GPZ, i cant get it to rev over 5-6k without it bogging down, i also cant figure out the push and pull cable set up

  • ok, so i have gotten it pretty much worked out now.....this was very helpful. I have the same jet kit as you, and it is 3 turns back out. oh and it has race cams. Make sure thee clip on the needle is on the third from the top on the needle. I have some issues still, like my headlight is flashing. It's like i'm not getting enough voltage. I dunno, but it died and wouldn't crank on me at Wal mart. And i need to do the valves. I was just looking for your video when I saw this responce
