@remephil if 1 of the jackets had gone it would be bellowing so much smoke out you wood not be able to see the thing ex cheiftan and challenger driver mec
@remephil the smoke out off the back decks is off the steering and braking disc's if the jackets had gone the smoke would be like someone had set a smoke grenade off i should know have seen enuff off them go thru a jacket
I have just been asked to lead a team to return a variety of armoured recovery vehicle back to life this year, including Chieftain ARRV,Cent BARV,and a Sherman ARV, should be fun and hopefully get some vid for here.
@smokinstan1 how f***ing true old son,we had one come out of workshops with a "brand new" engine fitted to it and the sod gave up 140meters out side the workshop puking oil all over the main road heading into MUNSTER..the Germans where most impressed!
@grahamkeithtodd i had a challenger blow the gearbox to pieces just after fueling up about 50 meters from the back gate at munster on the way to the dorban for a week ex
it had just had a new pack in it to best ex i had bin on spent it in camp waiting for a pack
Idk, but I'm sure it would have really dug up the ground if he had turned it around, this was at a fairgrounds. either way, it would have had to been backed off it he drove in forwards, so he was able to drive forwards off the trailer. And yes, the tank is a little "sick".

We used to load tanks on flatbed railcars in Germany. The M88 was fun, the treads actually overlapped the edges of the rail car

I half expected it to crush the trailer. It does weigh 55 tons after all.

I hauled a M1A1. It was such a pain trying to get it on a 8'6" trailer. there is no finesse about those things. Nice video

Why is he reversing onto the trailer ? It's much easier to drive straight on. The engine sounds a bit sick as well. Ex Chieftain Tank commander.
