Even at 199 lbs, Toney is still 30 lbs overweight. Great fighter in his day, tough as they come, but he became a freak show fighting at "heavyweight" and getting owned by Randy in the UFC. If Toney didn't get lazy as he got a little older, he could have been known as one of the best ever. He'll be known as a great fighter, but not on the level of some of his peers, all due to him turning into a rolly-polly fake heavyweight, he should have fought at his natural weight of169-175 his whole career.

@EricSHinton Eastern European fighters have only been fighting pro for less than 20 years and since that time are heavily represented in nearly every weight division. Wlad Klitschko has been more dominant in his division than James Toney ever was in any of his. ABC belts and jumping weight divisions looks good on a resume but doesn't speak that much about how good a fighter is. Joe Calzaghe another example.. there are many. Despite all of this no doubt Toney was a great fighter
