I love Spokane. I grew up here my whole life and this city is really laid back with a nice mix of conservatives and liberals - depends on which region of the city you are in. Unfortunately, I'm looking at moving to the West side of the state for public health work and experience. Jobs here can be really limiting as most businesses outside of retails and geriatrics are investing in the region.

Spokane licks balls, I grew up there actually in Cheney. Moved to Wyoming and visit Salt Lake regualy. 10 times the city Spokane is (about the same size) SLC is better even with all the mormans.
i love spokane. as i think of it there are three parts. south hill is houses and trees. northtown is apartment some houses and lots o buildings. then theres downtown. the davenport, steam plant and hotel lusso. did you know the davenport was voted 2nd best hotel in the country and 4th in the world?! crazy huh?!

Up here in the northwest, Seattle and Portland are the biggest cities these out of region folks are gonna get. Other than that, smaller cities like Spokane, Boise, and Billings are pretty common.
Dude. Who the fuck needs a bigger city than Seattle? I've traveled all over and been to the biggest cities in the country (and the world), and I think that Seattle is the best American city I've ever been to, and one of the coolest cities in the world. The American Northwest is a unique, beautiful region, and don't you ever forget it (and I'm not from there).
I've lived up here my entire life and I was clarifying how people from back east and the more populated southwest always seem to complain about how we LACK larger metro areas. Case in point, I just mentioned that seattle and portland are our only 2 "big" cities. Boise is actually getting bigger, but lacks the feeling of those two places.
