That is if they arn't mentally scarred.

there isn't a gears 4. Cliff blezenzky stated that this isn't the end of the gears franchise, but this is the last delta squad story game. The next gears game is rumored to be a prequeal, much like Halo:Reach. Its basically E day and the begining war with the locust, but of course this is all rumored and not confirmed by epic.

OMFG. This campaign is awesome. BUT, it would've been PERFECT, if they didn't have this stupid ass final battle. I played through campaign on Hardcore solo, and it was a relatively easy but sometimes challenging experience, but this final boss... It's gonna be a bitch on Insane. It wasn't even "challenging"; it was just, "Shoot at the thing, get downed by the twenty palace guards infinitely respawning, and pray that your bots pick you up." Not to barely any checkpoints... I'm a huge Gears fan and all, but the end of Gears 3 was a huge disappointment. The whole game was about Marcus and his little scooby crew surviving and scrounging in post-apocalyptia, only for it to end so abruptly with a plot convenient "Kill everything" device that not only kills the Lambent, but the Locust as well

it all reeks of convenience, and Convenience means "we need to end this now and release this game"

Everything else was perfect though, making the end seem quite crap in comparison

The GoW 3 ending stands out to all other game endings. The only one that relates to this ending the most is Crysis 2's ending, but the dramaticness in this ending gives it that special touch that makes tis ending stand out to all others.

@SillyDaffy personally i think it ends a bit abruptly, we never learn who myrrah really is, unless they plan to put that in DLC, i would have liked to see carmine be more involved, what made the game when he died was when you got attached to him and when he died it made it more emotional when he did die, this one you barely get to know him. But i agree that gears of war is one of the best game series out there, in both story and multiplayer (especially balance).

@Frenchhornchick5469 i actually feel bad for myrrah she deserved a chance to explain at least, that and she was only doing what was best for the locust. just like the humans were doing what was best for themselves, and they hint at the fact that the she had some diplomacy with Adam, but got impatient. i feel the entire war could have been avoided if the humans just allowed the locust to live on the surface with them, rather than trying to keep them away, war was unnecessary.
