These were really strange toys from the early 80's, they all had section cup feet an squeezy arms. I always thought they were sorta cool. by dad had one on the dash of his old van that he wired glowing eyes up to for years.
Oh please Blackboilingrobotoil tell me you have pictures of the dashboard of your dad's van! I can't imagine how awesome that van was. Robo Force on the dashboard is like the robot lover's equivalent of fuzzy dice.
Thank you so much for sharing this, EKM. The toys were never sold here in the Philippines, and before the internet, I was probably the only Filipino to have ever heard of Robo-Force thanks to a commercial on my old VHS cassette of American Saturday morning cartoons.
Thanks for listening to that! I always wonder who takes time out of their day to devote to listening to me talking about going to the library. I don't have any robots for sale but if you want to write about anything else my email is e v i l k i n g m a c r o c r a n i o s atsign g m a i l d o t c o m
Hi! I have enjoyed your podcastalypses for some time. I would like to ask you about something but I don't know how to contact you. Do you have an email address for questions?
no bullshit, i mustve had my last flashback of this about 3 years ago, to forever believe no one else saw the cartoon but me.. so im in a comicbook shop today and finally see the blue on copter in original packaging, for only 10 bucks man, i flipped and the store keeper looked at me like i was weird for it. so now i got the title, now im on you tube, now im finding out there was only one episode, and why it was canceled.. i really appreciate you and whoever loved to video tape everything..
Wow, why wasn't this made into a full-on series? Never seen this (not surprised, seeing as how I was 3 at the time), but seems this series would've had potential.
The Robo Force toy line was released in 1984 and got killed by the way more popular GoBots and Transformers. Usually advertising budgets from which the cartoons are made are determined by the success of the toyline. Ideal decided to cancel the toys and thus didn't pursue a continuation of the cartoon.
In a short email conversation I had with Mr. Dille he said the whole project was rushed through production so the writing may already have been on the wall by the time the episode was being made.
@EvilKingMacrocranios Thanks for this upload. The toymakers were dumb to cancel this series and toyline. I saw this cartoon back and the day and thought it was sooo cool. I liked this and the Transformers and Gobots. Those robots looked cook to me then and now many years later.
Wow! this was a one shot showing back in the 80s/ i think it came on one evening and that was it/lol Man this is rare and almost forgotten toy and tv show
2000 years. Little or no technological or cultural development evident. Nazgar had the tech to preserve his brain and mind faithfully from the start, but had to wait 2000 years for the tech to be available to give him a mobile body that could house the life support system for his brain. Dunno, even for an SF toon, seems to stretch plausibility.
I knew if I was patient, this day would come! Missed my one chance to see it the one time it aired! Wondered what I missed. IMO, Hundred and the death ray went down too quick and easy!
Yeah, Hun-Dred went down waaaaay too easily. I suspect his and Nazgar's deaths were ambiguous enough that they could be explained away if they were to return in future episodes. I think Hun-Dred had to have clones or drones or something and that's what Maxx killed with one punch. I seriously doubt Nazgar died. Nazgar survived much worse than that before.
this cartoon was slept on couldve did damage in the 80s but the era was already too over saturated with this concept....dope toy tho

@EvilKingMacrocranios So that's what happened. Too bad, looks like it would've been a good series.

All the credit should go to 910dohead. It's been floating around on various tape trading and torrent sites for years ever since he uploaded it.

I have been looking for this for years...
I used to have a VHS recording of this as a kid that I would watch over and over again - sadly the tape got misplaced throughout the years.
I had given up all hope of ever seeing it again!
Thanks a ton!
