ohhh man... i just got a whole lot of chills when he said that to stone cold. man... those were the days.. where u look forward to it every main event.

  • 3:20 signaled austins heels turn when he seemed "desperate" to win the title ya know? epic promo

  • All this shit was real for me, that's what made it so brilliant, Rock and Austin really made you believe they hated eachother and it was a fight to the death. Just the best fued, best build up promo and best matches the WWE will ever see.

  • Hey , check my vids!! I upload Raw is War and Smackdown episodes of 2000!! If you like it , subscrie ;)

  • this will still give anyone chill bumps there will never be another wrestlemania like wrestlemania 17

  • "There can be ONLY ONE...."

    aye, right

  • stone cold and the rock the best of attitude!!!

cena and the miz the best...shit of the world

  • I don't know about you guys, but THIS is WrestleMania Build-Up. Whatever Cena and Miz are doing is NOT.

  • JUST ONE MORE FIGHT

  • The Rock made stunners look insane the way he sold it.

Too bad we'll never see this again.

  • wrestlemania 17 the greatest era of all time the greatest rivalry the greatest superstar attitude era rules and that's a bottom line because i said this

  • STONECOLD IS THE MAN, AS MUCH AS I LOVE THE ROCK, NO ON CAN EVER COMPARE TO STONECOLD.

  • greatest promo ever!

  • this was the best WWF Championship match promo made for WrestleMania

  • widely regarded as 'the best mania ever' and i would agree

  • La meilleur promo du monde!

    Meilleur epoque

    Meilleur catcheur

    That's all

  • The Rock would always sell the Stunner so well. I loved it.

  • Wrestling actually mattered then :(

  • this is when wwe was worth fucking watching shit wasnt cheesy like now

  • Simply the best promo ever EVER in wrestling.

  • @vipress12 Yeah now its too boring, its like see one cartoon show from the 80's Cena always win, and on the other side the Bad guys totally lack of personality I remember HHH in those days I really hated that guy and the blood I miss the blood too.

  • best wrestlemania ever by far, Rock and Stone Cold and def the TLC II with the The Hardy Boys, Dudley Boys and Edge and Christian.

  • @stonewalljack23 hmm definitely top 2, but I prefer wrestlemania 18, Hogan vs The Rock, Kurt Angle vs Kane, HHH vs Y2j for Undisputed title, Scott Hall vs Stone Cold, The Undertaker vs Ric Flair....MADNESS!

  • this is one of best promos EVER!!!

  • this is the greatest thing i've ever seen

  • Undertaker

    HHH

    Rock

...Should all whoop Cena's ass since they all came back.

    thumbs up.

  • OMG. This was for Wrestlemania XVII I believe. Fckin greatest PPV promo EVER!!!!!!! UGHH, I even remember the fckin Titantron set up that year with the ramp like 20,000 feet away from the ring. This match went on for so long and every fckin minute was worth it.

  • this is when wrestling was the shit! not like todays PG crap

  • this promo takes me back to when i was kid who won i forgot

  • This was the build up to WM 17 right?

  • By far the best feud

  • did any1 else get taken back and get chilled goosebumps from 2:05 and on?

cuz that shit was OD for me

  • @nykingyn12 I did.

  • @nykingyn12 I got chills the second I pressed play.

  • 5 dislikes this is a disgrace how can these 5 people think cena vs orton is a better promo fued watever compared to these two this was one of the best build up ever to a match plus best match at wrestlemania ever

  • Greatest promo package for a single match that they have ever produced.

  • @colinmcgurk next to Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker 2

Placebo theme song was haunting me after that promo

  • rock and stone cold made wwe back in the day...and made it interested each time

  • BEST PROMO EVER.

  • The 2 Best in the business end of story!

  • The Rock was always the best at receiving stunners. Fact.

  • Whuaaaaaa Thaaaa Fuuuugde, !?!?!?

  • The only time of my life when i looked forward to mondays were for this.

  • Wrestlemania 17, greatest Wrestlemania in history...

  • this video is crazy! never fails to give me shivers every time-

no rivalries and no wrestlers will EVER be as great as BOTH Stone Cold and The Rock- they were both so amazing in different ways, i could never choose between them..

Men, i have but one thing to ask.... ONE! MORE! MATCH!!!!

  • i swear to god if i get thumbs up on my comment ill kill myself

  • @jakeyb414

    Rest In Peace

  • @jakeyb414 lol

  • @jakeyb414 RIP!

  • @y2g1983 Attitude era will always beat this PG-13 crap. Your comments mean nothing to the Attitude fans. Just wait and see what happends when The Rock and Cena entertain in the ring, i garuntee you take your words back.

  • I MiiiiiSS WWF :(

  • IS BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

  • 5 people took the highway lol

  • Th.e two most charismatic performers that ever stepped inside the squared circle... that silly comment by bigbodymore doesn't even know it's own point and 9 numbnuts liked it.... Bryan Danielson, Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle could produce a technical suplexfest dream match and it couldn't hold a candle to the feeling of the hairs standing on the back of your neck when one of these two just walked into the arena

  • WWF back then was a far more entertaining product. Tag team wrestling was fun to watch, with legit tag teams, as opposed to two individuals being brought together. The skits were tailored towards an older audience. Mankind being thrown off Hell in a Cell, more bloody matches, aswell as the hardcore title, which had to be defended 24/7. There was swearing (and no John Cena calling people a "big poopy", sigh), T and A everywhere !! And also the WWF and Intercontinental titles meant something !

  • Back then, there was a point where the WWF had less than 50% market share, as WCW were breathing down their necks, with the likes of Sting, Hogan, Nash, Hall, Goldberg, Savage, Flair, Mysterio etc.. WWF still had guys like The Rock, Austin, Triple H, Undertaker, Benoit, Jericho, Kurt Angle etc.. in their prime. So WWF was forced to push the envelope, unlike today, where they now have 90% market share.

  • Fuck Cena and Orton SCSA and the Rock where Rivalry of the WWE/F

  • best rivalry ever.

  • @bigbaltimore08

Asmuch as i loved this era of wresting, comparing Austin and Rock to Punk and Danielson (Even Swagger) on the "Technical" side of wrestling is mad, Those guys are machines

  • 2:24 austin crushed the can before the rock hit it.

  • @GoodOneDaaa I know that was kinda the point. All of those guys I mentioned are way better wrestlers than Rock and Stone Cold. I was being sarcastic because someone said something along the lines of "the PG era doesn't have any good wrestlers compared to these guys," which is clearly not true at all.

  • this promo makes me want to nutt everywhere j/p no homo

  • One Word: Goosebumps!!!!!!!!

  • This is the last promo of the attitude era .

  • damn dis shit took me back 2 when it was WWF,not WWE haha back when it was jim ross and jerry the king lawler, michael cole was still an interviewer, blood waz allowed 2 drip down and they actually had story linez az well as real true fightin with all the blood, sweat, and tearz each wrestler had... that was desire

  • We need hype and promos like this by using good songs.....Since then all the PPV promos are just plain! I get psyched watching this.

  • damn, seems like yesterday )':

  • @DeanMalenkoEatsDogs the current piece of trash wwe championship sucks that spiner belt is retarded inspired by your hero you faggot john faggot ass cena the person who is bringing the wwe down

  • remember when blood was censored in black and white

  • goosebumps..

  • That Promo was awesome. The way that 'My Way' kicked back in part way through was timed great. I know people hate hearing this, but i wish wrestling was this good again. Someone should lease the rights from the WWE to show Raw and Smackdown on tele again from like 1996 onwards!

  • Def. best rivalry. But you gota love how the rock goes crazy and does a spinarooni after he gets a stone cold stunner everytime. lol

  • the best rivalry ever and best promo ever

  • wow can you guys believe we are a decade after this event, how time flys!

  • should be orton vs cena at mania two baby faces like rock vs austin

  • The WWE Belt nowadays is much more beautiful than that one... but the Promos and Fighters were a lot better. WWF was better !

  • THE HEIGHT OF THE ATTITUDE ERA

  • I saw that WM it was the shit and the whole feud was done great until the Stone Cold turn was a sick twist, but at the time I thought Stone Cold was a traitor when I was a little kid.

  • @Drummer24seven That heel Stone Cold could NEVER, EVER beat the 1996-97 heel Austin that feuded with Bret Hart and the entire Hart Foundation. That time in his career made him a main eventer for the rest of his career.

  • sick video man, good song that fits the video, keep it up bro

  • It got no better than this. LOL at anything that has come since.

  • back in the day this was the shit now its fucking P.G wdf wwf were the days not this wwe shit

  • easily the best build up in the attitude era

  • Biggest stars in the WWE

2001: The Rock and Stone Cold

    10 years later

2011: John Cena and Randy Orton

We all know who were the best

  • thumbs up if u want the attitude era to be on vintage collection instead of the 80's and early 90's

  • best wrestlemania ever!!!!just my vote....thx for this upload!!!

  • Man I miss WWF!...

    Those were THE days...

    Best fued ever!

  • i was all Rattlesnake until the end of this match lol at the end of the day ROCK got the last laugh!

  • best years of wrestling

  • damn what a throw back. I miss the good old days ...

  • i hope to god austin or rock never come back proper to wwe.wrestling is gone to shit this pg era would only ruin their legacy hulk hogan case and point

  • @1886ization

They'll manage just fine. It's the jaded IWCers that people will have to watch out for because of a stupid TV rating that has next to no effect on WWE's quality..

Besides, Hogan "ruined" (if you can call it that) his own legacy by not knowing when to call it a career.

  • The greatest rivalry in wrestling wrestling has never been as good since those two left.

  • @sprudd182

HHH and Austin was bad ass too

  • @ea2k7 oh i totally agree TRIPLE H and THE ROCK was bad ass too that was the glroy days of wrestling

  • best promo 4 the best match at the best event between the best wrestlers with the best rivalry. PERIOD. fuck this pg cena shit

  • I love when Austin hits the stunner on Rock.

  • BEST WWF PROMO EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brilliant nothing else can be said

  • Song was perfect for their rivalry. They need to do a movie.

  • Is there a chat room to discuss wrestling on the net? Someone post a link 4 it....

  • I broke My T.V Behind this shit.My mother banned from Wrestling for like 4 ever. I was going to my friends house watching Raw on VHS on Tuesdays for months. I hated WWF and Vince for years Behind thin.. I'm getting upset now just thinking about this match and i'm 26 now

  • 2:25 Best fucking part!!

  • The Rock vs The Stone

    EPIC!!

  • add my mate TheMysterio1995

  • best rivalry ever

  • awesome !!!

  • Be it scripted or not, this was a great storyline and fine montage. I have nothing but respect for the wwe, even if I no longer like to watch it.

  • Best Promo of all-time!

  • thumb up if you agree that The Rock's the best in selling stunner!

  • wrestling will never be this good again...Luckly, I was old enough to witness the Austin/Rock rivalry and the attitude era.

  • Austin vs Rock = Greatest Rivialry in wresting history

  • Stone Cold + The Rock + Wrestlemania + Limp Bizkit = 100% Pure Epicness

  • @Bigdam38 Amen!

  • damn! we are stuck in entertainment! Just ONE more FiGHT! but this rival wont happened again, i Love it men

  • Yes, us poor kids have to bare through these jokers like Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, John Morrison, Jack Swagger, and CM Punk while all the people growing up in the attitude era got to watch technical machines like SCSA, The Rock, and Triple H. Damn us and our sports entertainers...we want wrestlers!

  • @bigbaltimore08

I have a feeling the sarcasm will be lost on all the people.

  • @go30tigers7 Yeah, most of these people wouldn't know technical wrestling if it European Uppercutted them in their faces.

  • @bigbaltimore08 yeah, and we just had to tolerate the likes of kurt angle, chris benoit, jericho, dean malenko owen hart etc....faceous prick.

  • Wtf do those guys have to do with SCSA and Rock? They all jobbed to them? Oh u mean they were around in the same era, okay, well I never said there weren't good wrestlers in the Attitude Era, but rather that the talent level is about the same now as it is then. Were not suffering on the wrestling front at all. Plus it's not like all those guys you mentioned (besides Owen, who sadly wasn't around for the A.E. either RIP) weren't around later on. In fact they were showcased even more after the A.E

  • Oh yeah, and if your gonna try to insult someone, at least spell the f'n word right.....I bet you can't even define the word fascist.

  • @bigbaltimore08 okay i didnt even use the word fascist, facecous is a word on its own, but i will allow you to think what you like..as you are clearly right i am sure in everything you think say or do in life, must be so fulfillng pointing out the shortcomings of others eh?

  • @mattrutland Please, define "facecous" to me. It's not in the webster dictionary and I've never heard of it. Google seems to think you mean facetious, which really isn't an insult if you did in fact mean to say it. And I never said I wa right about everything, but I am right about this thing: The wrestling in this era is just as good as it was in the Attitude era. It just is. The era's really are more similar than people give them credit for on the wrestling front.

  • @bigbaltimore08 good point lol, but bunk and especially morrison will soon be legends, morrison is the next hbk!!!

  • @OxFairyDustxO Well, Morrison is great but he's no HBK. The problem with Jomo is that he has very little natural charisma, an area in which HBK thrived. No doubt he's a future world champion though, as he has everything else required besides mic skills. And Imo Punk is already a legend. So is Daniel Bryan Danielson really.

  • @bigbaltimore08 Daniel Bryan is great, WWE just doesn't let him show it.

  • @donovanhonolulu WWE lets him show it somewhat. He's had some great matches in the midcard so far, and he's been on the main roster for less than a year. /he's gotten some of the longest/best matches on the cards for the ppv's. Give the WWE time with Bryan, I think they have big plans for him.

  • @bigbaltimore08 ...Are you implying SCSA is a better technician than Bryan Danielson?

  • @lostenmusic It was sarcasm friend. All of the guys I mentioned from the Attitude Era are bad wrestlers (besides Trips who is just average imo) and the guys I mentioned from the PG era are all obviously very good wrestlers. And yes, I do realize that Stunning Steve Austin was a good wrestler, as was WCW and ECW Steve Austin, but Stone Cold Steve Austin was a bad wrestler. Point being that the era's are the same (if not the current era being better) wrestling wise imo.

  • @bigbaltimore08 I can agree with that.

  • @bigbaltimore08 who cares about the wrestling, its sports ENTERTAINMENT and no one was ever more entertaining than these 2

  • @JerDawg23 I care about the wrestling. So does 99 percent of the internet wrestling community. Remember it's World WRESTLING Entertainment, not World Entertainment Entertainment. Plus I disagree aboout no one being more entertaining as well (and not just because I think that a good match is more entertaining than even the best of promos) but I personally think Triple H, CM Punk, and HBK are at least as good if not better than both of these two.

  • @bigbaltimore08 I can sense some sarcasm. It wasn't that the actual technical wrestling was far superior during 1997-2001, (although there's no one on the current roster who can roll like Kurt Angle and Benoit used to) it's more that there were less constraints to what the wrestlers could say or do. Also you had two of the most charismatic superstars in the history of wrestling plying their trade at the same time, Austin and The Rock.

  • @freakminer64 I get what your saying and I agree with you to an extent (even though Benoit and Angle were even better AFTER the Attitude Era), but that wasn't my point. Yes the wrestlers cannot say exactly what they want to say (because of PG) and the wrestlers can't do what they used to be able do in the matches as far as crazy spots and hardcore shit (because of the increased safety measures), but the actual wrestling is better now imo then it was back then.

  • @bigbaltimore08 The wrestling along with the promos have become very formulaic, as WWE is trying to tell it's wrestlers to perform with a largely unspoken narrative, this wasn't the case before. CM Punk, John Morrison are NOT great wrestlers, I'll give you that Jack Swagger and Daniel Bryan are technically sound. I would say in terms of actual amateur wrestling skills the WWF roster before had far greater depth, than today. The Radicalz, Tazz, Shamrock, Bob Holly etc. stacked the undercard

  • @freakminer64 To each his own I suppose, but there's no way you can tell me CM Punk is not an elite wrestler. He is top ten in the world today no doubt about it. John Morrison I'll give you is not a fantastic technical wrestler, but he is a great spot monkey. Much better than the likes of The Hardys and the like from the A.E. Let me ask you a question though about the guys you mentioned, how often were those guys spotlighted in the A.E.?

  • Eddie and Benoit didn't begin to really shine until AFTER the A.E. when they were turned into main eventers, Tazz got injured before he could have a great match, and Shamrock and Holly were very average imo. How you can say a guy like Punk isn't good but Shamrock and Holly are your answers to good wrestlers from the A.E. is beyond me. You should relly do some HW on guys like Punk and Jomo, they will surprise you on how great they are.

  • @bigbaltimore08 One thing that has diminished, is that wrestlers used to have to do the rounds on the unaffiliated territories, unlike today where the WWE has its own training academy. Many wrestlers have spoken out about this, and about how wrestlers are coming into the full-time WWE roster very raw. Whilst before they were able to hone their in-ring and mic skills, without the critical intervention of the big E. Daniel Bryan is a reference to days gone by.

  • @freakminer64 So your saying that the WWE doesn't take any talent from Indy and international promotions? Alberto Del Rio, Tyler Black, Kaval, Mistico, CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan would like to beg to differ with you. Amongst all of them, Kaval was the only one of them, who have proven to be busts in the WWE. The WWE has scouts everywhere, and all of their big guns didn't just come from FCW.

  • @bigbaltimore08 I don't believe amateur wrestling should be used as the main barometer to compare era's, rather the sum of all parts should be viewed. Because pro wrestling, is as also about the pomp and pageantry. The crowd want characters who are interesting and dynamic. Promos these days are so boring and rehearsed, I care very little about these characters. Go watch some old school heel promos by DX, Kurt Angle and Triple H and compare that with the tripe spouted out by the Miz today.

  • You might not feel that wrestling should be the main barometer in comparing eras, but I do. I like wrestling of all kinds, not just technical wrestling (although it is in fact my favorite) and the eras after the A.E. were much better in every form of wrestling imo. To me, the Miz compares favorably with all the guys you mentioned. He's not as good as any of the guys you mentioned (besides Angle who he is MILES ahead of, especially A.E. Angle) but those guys are all legendary talents.

  • Miz also doesn't have the benefit of TV-14 on his side like all of the A.E. guys did. Rock and SCSA, while they wouldn't be bad on the mic in today's era, would be no where near as good if they couldn't use curse words (All of the Rock's repetitive ass catchphrases had curse words in them). You mentioned the crowd wanting characters who are dynamic and interesting, and interesting I'll give you, but HHH, SCSA, and The Rock worked on 1 level and 1 level only, and that is a fact.
