  • "it's even brighter than the umhhh... GIANT EXXON SIGN" :D just got to love this song and the man overall!

  • I. Was. There!!!!!

  • the regular sax solo is definitely better but this version with the electric guitar is pretty awesome

  • i used to have this bootleg of "live at the main point" and this is probably the greatest live recording of bruce and e-street there is in all the world. this, IMHO, is the best concert of theirs ever recorded. damn, do you reckon any of the people there that night had any idea that r n r history was being laid out before their very eyes...

  • Just... So beautiful. Perhaps my most favorite version of Jungleland. R.I.P. Big Man, your music and beautiful world changed the world as we knew it. Your solos and loving personality made this world a much, much better place to live on. The E Street Band lost yet another key element to its band, much earlier than we ever expected or wished for it to be.

  • awesome. Love it

    Thanks Bruce and E street

  • much prefer the real version! But this one is very interesting to listen to, and I absolutely love the beginning.

  • I'd like to see someone else write a 10 minute song people actually want to hear

  • Music=Springsteen

  • @sharpshooterrn There are others in that equation, but yes, you are correct, my friend! :)

  • Very tight...but played too fast...glad the ultimate recording featured Suki, sax solo, better guitar playing, ...the rest is history as we know...but let's be honest, this version is a bar band version and the real deal (for a life time) was well captured on the record and subsequent live recordings...just thoughts, though even this version sheds a tear...

  • The Main Point shows were awesome

  • Wow

  • It's quite unbelievable to discover on YouTube so many different Jungleland live version and be touched by all of them. This one is outstanding again, this time becauso of violin intro... best song ever written?

  • simply fantastic....

  • the intro is simply beautiful...oh that violin...

  • @Ubermann88HH Suki Lahav is the violinist on this one

  • @SuzzyStohelit I know, she left because she was having an affair with Bruce and her husband found about it, so both left for Israel

  • @Ubermann88H She also teaches creative writing in Jerusalem, where she lives in the German Colony neighborhood.

  • Just a classic! Thanks for this. The Main Point, the early days in good ol' Bryn Mawr, PA (Just across the Philly county border) Wow, I would have loved to have seen these early shows.

  • Big man!!!

  • Suki Lahav? That's write on wikipédia.

  • Who was the violin player in 1975? Thanks.

  • @DGillanP Suki was...

  • Livingston Taylor, Kate Taylor, James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, John Prine, Jimmy Buffett, Allen Ginsberg, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Billy Joel, Linda Ronstadt, Dan Fogelberg, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens, Jonathan Edwards, Deodato, Bill Withers, Arlo Guthrie, Don McLean, Joni Mitchell, Odetta, Blind Faith, Laura Nyro, Jimmy Webb, Spencer Davis, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Richie Havens, Warren Zevon, Doc Watson, Edgar Winter, Loudon Wainwright III, Tom Rush and Leonard Cohen.

  • I just fell sorry for all that have never been to "The Main Point" to see a show. It was great to be 19 in 1975 and see great shows at "The Main Point". The Main Point was a small coffeehouse venue on Lancaster Ave. in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The club was famous for its small intimate atmosphere and inexpensive ticket prices. It hosted performers such as; Continue next post

  • @jprodman Don't forget the Tower and Erlanger Theatres.

  • @jprodman

I would've done everything just to be 19 in 1975 like you so I could witness this and the Darkness tour, but too bad I'm 17 and live in the Netherlands :p. But here in the Netherlands I still have been to 8 concerts and at the Pinkpop concert in 2009 we even shook hands for about 10 seconds when he stood right in front of me and he saw me singing the chorus of The Promised Land so that makes everything good.

Suki Lahav is so good at The Main Point, the Incident version is just epic.

  • I was freekin there!!! The Main Point was an awesome place

  • jungleland is one of those almost impossibly rare instances of a song that is, without exaggeration, perfect. i wanted to hear this song to honor the big man, but every member of the e street gives a career-best on this song.

  • magic

  • Jungleland = Clarence Clemons, thanks for the wonderfull sax notes you gave us, and one of the best solo's ever. Rest in peace Big Man, rest in peace.

  • 1 dislike = a person with no <3

  • RIP Big Man. Soundtrack of my life.

  • We love you Clarence and we always will ......

  • Yow! I was lucky enough to see Bruce and the E-Streeters in a theater in New Brunswick, NJ, right around this time. It's still the best rock show I've seen in my life. Thanks, Bruce, and thanks, Clarence.

  • @donkensler as well as at Soldier Field during the Born In The USA tour in '85...no concert has ever held a candle to that show....

  • This is a board boot, isn't it. Nice.

  • Jam on, Jam On " Big Man "

    Clarence Clemons in Heaven.

Thank You for the treasures you left us with. You will always be with us.

  • My heart is so heavy tonight with the passing of my old friend-

The big man with the biggest sound and an even bigger heart.

    RIP Clarence...

  • R.I.P. Big Man.

  • This album is now legal in England. Look it up on Amazon.

  • Who could dislike this, that person obvs doesn't know good music, and stay strong big man

  • Love these early songs! I have the vinyl of this bootleg. It's stellar. Get well Clarence. It won't be the same without you. Already missing Danny. Big Man's sax makes E Street special. Just don't understand why they aren't also in the Rock Hall with the Boss.. I'm wearing my Big Man's West t-shirt today from CC's Red Bank club to honor Clarence.(I save it only for concerts.)

  • This is what got me interested in Bruce. The great, great SAX and the Big MAN Now get well

  • i love this early stuff you can hear the evolusion of his song writing it amazing thanks for upload

  • I still miss The Main Point

  • this is sick - are you kidding me?

  • Purely awesome! I love it!

  • Never born to late. This show available from Amazon uk. Love Bruuuuuuuuuce

  • I was born too late...

  • I love the way he's able to change the lyrics up and have it sound just as good as the orginal.

  • The rangers had a homecoming.

  • CLARENCE!

  • @TheJedipapaw

Let's be honest, this album would be nothing without Clarence :)

  • Bruce and his songs like this inspired me through much of my adult life. This song brings me back when i was 18 yrs old driving with some hot chick in my red 1971 pontiac lemans on a warm summer night

  • love the intro...how does someone translate raindrops falling into musical notes? ask Bruce et al

  • amazing...one of the greatest poets in the history of the english language

  • I was there... what a stroll down memory lane...

  • No way, was that live? I only realised at the end with the people cheering. Jesus Christ, i thought it was a studio recorded version. If that is live that is absolutley incredible. The Boss.

  • Wow! Cool to hear it as they were still working on it! I've read how Bruce was so worried about writing an album that could stand up to the song Born To Run. Guess he did OK. :)

  • I Can Not Belive This Has Only 41,370 Views! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • This was my personal favorite Springsteen boot. Just amazing. Soon coming to a college near you!

  • I love this version of Jungleland! very epic!

  • @Poyer1023 listen to the oden london version

  • wow... I have the bootleg somewhere.. This was not only a fantastic show on the Mainline that night before he took on the world ... And Ed Sciaky MCd... Priceless for all Philadelphians and BrynMawr PA... I long for that Hole in the Wall of a club... WOW.... In the end the record rendition was better.. I like the sax where the guitar is and vice versa... But this was a sweet prequil before the edits... Nice violin by Suki...

Got a chance to play that club once..

  • once that piano riff starts....it hits me

  • Wow. I'm awed by the talent of Bruce and the band.

  • this is my fav song by him

  • Awesome! Thanks for uploading.

  • This is definitely one of my favorite songs of the Boss! Along with Rosalita and Thunder Road.

  • I love Bruce!....&& one of things I love most about him is....Clarence Clemons!!! So Sorry But it is not the same!!!...=(

  • wait until the full orchestra tour. Bruce you are so ready for it. Springsteen is the Sinatra of my generation

  • classical music meets a rock star-in-the-making. can't wait for the full orchestra tour! i called it, today.

  • No Yell at the end! thats the best part!

  • amazing version the old stuff is the best !

  • great version - ty for posting

  • this song reminds me of all the people i knew and there gone now

  • I Have dozens of old bootlegs spanning the years, vintage bruce played on a turntable...priceless and absolutley amazing, i wish i knew how to share i t

  • @andressteak I wished, too!!!! :)

  • As fantastic as it is to hear this early version, one must be glad he changed some of the lyrics

  • :-)

  • AWESOME!!! Seeing Bruce live back then was a one of a kind experience. . .I cherish the memories. . .thanks for this incredible upload! : )

  • Thank you gaspanic321.

  • Thank you for sharing! This music always makes me fly!

  • Absolutely amazing. I love Jungleland so much, it's great to hear this older version en notice the changes. Thanks so much for uploading!

  • great song!

  • Is this pre-Little Stevie or had he joined the band at this point?

  • when we were young. i have a suggestion to raise the GDP in america. somebody please write a musical now. and this musical will be you know..... like a missing book of the bible. yes, a musical about bruce springsteen. it would be an incredible block buster, and have the power to reverse our economic decline. do you hear me brother. just to see brother danny and a very young brucee...

  • simply fantastic

  • anybody have the lyrics for this version?

  • The Main Point, don't forget what a place The Main Point was. Who would have thought that Bryn Mawr rocked?

  • Only 8,400 views. There's a lot of people out there really missing out.

  • @phillypaul75 It's because this music is owned by other people. So they keep taking the videos down. It is effictivly distributing intellectual property without the permission of the owner.

  • @phillypaul75 we're up to 27''000 so there's hope dude

  • @Krasspouille You're right, there is hope.

  • @phillypaul75 Agreed! W.T.F. people? Wake up! The concerts still goin'....never ended.

  • correction - guitar, sax, & violin - the harmony and dissonance of all 3 in unison wraps its arms around you & doesn't let go!

  • Best early recording I've heard. Beautiful arrangement of song - sax & guitar unison solo - lovely.

  • Is it max on the drums? or Vini Lopez? Min 3:54-4:08 sounds like Vini Lopez....it shouldn't be...but I'm wondering....

And the bass....can you hear that bass? Shit, I still don't understand why Gary Tallent doesn't get the recognition he should get....so freaking amazing!

  • Its amazing to hear the bass pounding on this song...and its been buried under the rug for years!

  • its max weinberg. he joined the band when carter left in august 74

  • The whole concert can be found on bootlegs. Look for the records "Main Point Night" or "You Can Trust Your Car To The Man Who Wears The Star". There are about ten songs just as good as this one. An 18 minute version of NYC serenade for example.

  • @Peter701000 I still have the vinyl bootleg. You Can Trust Your Car to the Man Who Wears The Star. The Amazing Kornyfone Record Label. The Cover incorrectly states that it is "live on His Tumultous Tour of 1976. It was actually 1975. "Completely playable in your home at 33 1/3 R.P.M. on any electric hfidelograph"... This is the best bootleg in Bruce Springsteen history. I bought it for 10 bucks at Plastic Fantastik in Bryn Mawr, PA. The best $10.00 I ever spent in my life.

  • I NEED TO HAVE THIS ON MP3

  • The violin & piano are so clear! Youcan pick up the mood in the room as you listen. Interesting to hear it in Bruce's E Street Shuffle style of his voice. His earlier years definitely had a different sound(voice). Thanks for posting & sharing this song!

  • and those strings!!! sound quality is PHENOMENAL!!!!

  • wow its unbelievable to hear the sax and the guitar solo in switched places

  • Listen to Danny on this song! Incredible sounds from the B3.

  • I'm amazed how clear this recording is...

  • wow!! outstanding.

  • El tema merece la pena...
