  • ahahaha :D

  • leave car making to the germans and bikes to the japanese

  • @drifter848 jap bikes sucks dick! leave the bikes to Italians and let Japanese make Civic!

  • Please don't compare cbrs with ducs.. You don't see me comparing my civic with an f430

  • my duke 749 sounds just the same........AWESOME!!

  • Ducati sound rocks.. Only the clutch fucks it up...

  • Comment removed

  • @fireyphoenix1989 Totally, that's why the BMW wins all the superbike races.

  • awsome machine piece of art you hang a picasso behind that bike, people will look at the bike, ducati = class, oh yea check out my bike il do you a video ressponse, thanks for sharing that magnifisant machine jimbo,,,

  • that sounds dreadful to be honest

  • Why they still even make these rattle boxes..Endless repair bills, never 100 percent its gonna start or even turn over cause the battery goes flat. And no to mention low on power..

  • if u want to see how good ducati are go to la mans 24 hour and whatch them fail every time .

  • Everytime i hear jap 600 stock i think of it as a hybird....lol...

  • Yeah, it's funny when people judge the bike based on the open clutch. I love the open clutch on mine...and all ducati's for that fact. Makes them that much more different then those dime-a-dozen inline fours.... Kudos by the way to you and your bike man.

  • Also with the full race pipe and power commander it makes jap bikes sound like a 50cc scooter.

I've had a bike from every major japanese manufacturer and the have all had major problems with the engines. So anyone that thinks Ducati's are crap and break more than any other bike can go take a long jump off a big cliff.

  • what ecu do you have?

  • you got lemons then or are italian everybody 99% of people trust Japanese motorcycles over italian even over german so there you go were is the cliff at cause i will jump with my japanese motorcycle to show it it will stull run after that. I dont think the ducati will make it there

  • @jimbob749 ask Valentino Rossi about that.

  • so is that the open-clutch mod?

  • Sure is it also a slipper clutch with make the rattle more pronounced at tick over once its running the rattle stops.

  • lol.. feel dumb .. i had opened the window and watched the video after it panned up .. just the bike ticking ..

  • and I thought my XJ600s was noisy Oo

  • man ducati's are pieces of shit!

  • Yes it is true that the iddle sound "improves" a lot when fitting some aftermarket cans, like Termignoni for example.. But, please man: it´s not very smart to judge a Desmo engine just by the iddle sound when this sound goes through a wide range of different notes when rewing, giving a very personnal and beautiful melody.

  • above all, bikes, but who doesn´t hesitate in making stupid and totally subjective comments too. Just like you.

  • if i was to buy a ducati and ride it i would probably be upset because i spent 20 grand more on a bike that is second to a much cheaper gixxer.

  • I'm sorry but your clutch is not loud enough. Try harder.

  • Sounds like utter SHIT

  • yeah sounds like a tractor !

  • Seriously....is that supposed to sound good? Sounds like a paper mill or a scooter at best.

  • haha yeah

  • and your mom sreams as a bitch.. But she´s nice when rewing her

  • That's nice but the bike still sounds like shit.

  • "It sounds like shit" it´s just your opinion. The typical criticism of someone who don´t know big thing about mechanics and above all, bikes, but who doesn´t hesitate in making stupid and totally subjective comments too. Just like you.

  • It's slow too.

  • Pulls 160mph top end so yer it's real slow !

  • Duuuccatiiiiiiii!!!!!!

  • @jimbob749, You have to take into comparison that the Hayabusa has a shit load more power and can do 200mph. I think that's what people are comparing it to.

  • did you know ALL MOTOGP bikes are dry clutches?????

  • next time install a fing fuel gauge gas

  • The dry clutch and the desmodromic valve noise are the sounds of the soul for most/all Ducati's. Once you ride a real Ducati (ie superbike) you will understand its nothing like a jpn bike.

    Ducati 748 forever

  • mine is almost as loud. can't say i love the marbles but i can live with it for everything else i get

  • Obviously not all people on here appreciate the awesome power of a ducati world dominating bikes on world superbikes and moto gp i rest my case

  • Actually Most ducati's have less power than there rivials on the road.

Eg the new 1098R ducati puts out 180hp

the new Yamaha R1 puts out 186.

Maybe not much difference put the 1098R has 200cc more than the R1

The standard 1098 only puts out 160hp again this has a bigger engine capacity.

Before anyone says anything about the math in that you need to realise the 1098R has been bored out to 1198cc.

  • The reason for this is that Ducati only use V-twins in there road bikes (apart from the Desmo RR)These produce less Horsepower than the stand Inline 4 set that most superbikes use.

They use a V4 engine in MotoGp.

You wouldn't buy a Ducati because it has 'Awesome power' you buy it because it is a Ducati, and you have lots of money.

    I also hate that rattle.

  • the bike in the video sounds crappy imo :) I have a 1098 and before that I owned Jap bikes. Indeed, top end horsepower is excellent on the track. But for anything else, low-end torque rules. I can do a power wheelie from essentially walking speed. Try that on any other liter bike with more than 2 cylinders my friend. The 1098 is so much more fun city riding than anything else. My Jap bikes are boring as shit in comparison.

  • I hate that rattle.

  • ducati seem to fuck up more than anything.

  • if they looked after correctly and serviced regular they are awesome

  • You Get More Pussy, If You Have A Ducati.

  • whats the matter with it, because it doesnt sound like that usually.

    cheers

  • click click click click click sounds like a sewing machine. is this a sweat shop exposé? where are all the illegal asian teenagers?

Yeah, I know about the dry clutch. I have one too.

  • I agree with chilipepper

  • that is nice. iv always wanted a ducati 749 and i will get one (eventualy) realy nice bike!

  • Who the hell wants a bike that rattles like that. Might as well add an oil injector into the exhaust and go for the complete 'my engine is fucked' effect.

  • Just wait it has a race pipe on it now sound ruff at low revs but when its going it sounds so sweet and scares the hell out of old folks.

  • my 748 rattled like that also.. it's just a characteristic of ducatis.. and the rattle is casued by the fuel injection at idle changing slightly i believe

  • rofl...u didnt have a 748 because you would of known the rattle is the dry clutch

  • sorry, i meant to say the rattle is from the dry clutch, but the variation in the rattle is from the fuel injection, which changes the speed of the dry clutch.. if u hear it properly it's not one constant rattle, it changes pitches constantly

  • has nothing to do with the fuel injection. The engine´s crank slightly decelerate on every compression phase and accelerate on every ignition phase, since its a dry clutch the plates hit each side of the crown on every revolution, that cycle repeated 1,300 times per minute (idle) create that characteristic Ducati rattle.

  • Termignoni

  • Sweet! Looks good, sounds good...I like the billet tank plug.

  • made my old rsvr sound smooth..cheers i wont get one now

  • I fucking love it dude. its a monster 600 for my first bike. haha it would be foolish to get a 749 even though i love em
