@ossyni May be the 1% is hidden in one secret bonus level, where you have to get a banana (3 bananas give a bonus barrel) to get a barrel to find a secret passage into this one bonus level? ;)

It's weird because I have never really been a fan of SNES (Sorry I was a Genesis kinda guy), but just today, my friend gave me his SNES and Donkey Kong Country for free, I know, I'm a lucky cat, and ever since I got Donkey Kong Country today, I can not fucking stop playing it. I've only been playing it a day, and it's already one of my top 5 favorite games.

Hey just so you know, theres a glitch in the game that you could have used to save a few seconds at around 9:53 or so,the millstone moving back and forth, you can cartwheel right through it using didy without getting injured as long as the animation for the cartwheel is completed without the millstone still touching you, just thought I'd try and help, nice run so far. Impressive. 5 Stars.
