all this people with this bad ubuntu, use Fedora, it's open, and it's pure gnome3 and not this out of the ppa and there are many other desktop enviorments like KDE, or xfce and so on. I really like Gnome3 and the Design that you can see on the gnome pages for gnome 3.2 is great, go on working people!

RHEL for the win. Always liked Fedora but as I spend more time programming, am beginning to appreciate RHEL's long support cycle.
Such a shame that they don't offer it free for students. (Why charge for a no-support copy?)

@MrNthDegree Maybe you should take a look at CentOs then. It's based on the sources Red Hat makes available and is supposed to be more or less exactly the same thing except without any Red Hat trademarks.

Already using it, though I replace the CentOS-specific RPMs with RHEL ones by recompiling the appropriate SRPMs. When CentOS 6 is out i'll stick to the CentOS branding, if it maintains the level of pretty that CentOS 5 has.
