It is a well done period piece; somewhat faithful to the original novel. A little cheesy in some areas yet VERY well acted and beautiful to look at. I have a copy and enjoy watching it from time to time.

I'm not gonna lie, I eventually got over my fears of Robert Englund's work including Freddy. But even at 19 years old, Robert's portrayal of the Phantom still scares me to this day.
