  • If we can shed our conscience of the physical body, we would become gods, using virtually no planetary resources, able to travel the universe without the notion of "time", and be in any "world" we would desire. imagine going to lunch with your friend in, say, 25 A.D. Rome...wow!

  • @bartonheed Well if you shed your physical body you won't really have a place to put the food if you had lunch with a friend in 25 AD Rome now would you? What would you chew with?! lol

  • @theBartone9119 a great question...imagine the grills we could wear to dinner! Remember what Morpheus in the Matrix says: "What is REAL?" "How do you define REAL?" peace

  • God is the source of it all, or the all? huh>_<

  • I wanted to post this message now at 3:00. you are using psychology it seems to promote the playstation maybe because "sony" which means sound or "noise" is the major weapon that the the real matrix uses to control us: NOISE PULLUTION derails our powerful train of thought. APPLE has already brainwashed many, the bitten apple obviously represent "knowledge" aka (sin). I'll finish my reply after I watch the entire video but maybe I wont need to. see the link to my forum on my channel

  • scientist wet dreams..

  • Shodan? :O

  • I think we will pass PS9 by 2074

  • Im eating a bowl of coco pebbles right now.

  • @dwilmer7 Please! Tell us more about this important thing!

  • @HoanTraker11 take 1 banana and cut it up into little slices, then sprinkle the banana ontop of the pebbles and mix it up..then add the milk and mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  • The singularity will be hear in less than 25 years. Thats all i can say for the moment...

  • wow.....drugs are bad mkay?by definition a virtual reality would mean your evetual death, then your just electricty or a program with no feeling.so you wouldnt even know you died...yeah??????jesus is the only way to transcend otherwise youll just descend .....yeah????

  • @iwanttocrashmybike if jesus let me know next weeks lotto mumber, then i will consider whether he is the real maccoy or not

  • @MethewXX Hell yeah, but you'd need psychedelic drugs to get where we are

  • Here's a theory: for thousands of years a universal belief has tended to dominate the collective conscious of the human race. For the first thousand it was the ideology of a God in existence. While that is still the norm, it appears to be that the universal "simulated reality" theory is beginning to take over. Currently, I'd say it seems logical. Even more so, though, I'd say it's more logical to state that we as humans seem to adapt and model the most popular perception of reality

  • @MoonLightFacade into something else every thousand years. Our first two millenias have dealt much with spirituality, transcending reality into an outer existence which we simply cannot "see". For the moment, the rise of a different point of view such as simulated reality will take over. This may last for a few thousand years, but I strongly suggest we look into ourselves (as well as our own nature) and question the validity of this. Look for the logical pattern - not the logical solution.

  • "Ids et wondey uh posbilty tat we undey perjek arrrselve unto a sumlated ralty? "

  • "Ids et wondey uh posbilty tat we undey perjek arrrselve unto a sumlated ralty? " ....THATS HOW YOU SOUND YOU FUCKTARD! Can you even hear your own voice? Why would you record it so us poor suckers get fooled into listening to it? Your lazy ass speech makes me want to punch you in the face!

  • why are you slurring your speech? it makes you sound very stupid and it is irritating! I can't stand listening to you. Why don't you take a speech therapy class? I think if you would focus when you talk you could speek better. It sounds like you are just very lazy about talkin. WTF? I actually don't like you because of the sound of your voice!

  • Answer: when your great grandchildren are using multi quantum core computers that number in the trillions. Then finally you will be able to simulate a truly realistic looking vagina and not a pix-elated one, but it won't be in your lifetime you douche.

  • he is reading lol.

  • trans, post humanism is isolation, and isolation is bad, creating an evin stricter prison then this one allready is, in the simulated world would also accure trouble, it is not evin real...like a dream, but in a dream there are more possebiletys, we can control it how we want, we have simply everything in this world to get happy,be satisfied, we don't need to run from the troubles into another world like pussys, our existans can be easely reduced to something mathematical, but also something els

  • Transhumanism has major flaws as well. A monarch mind control unit will inevitably rise towards ambition for power over all and corrupt under absolute power. A transhuman unit will not be able to think for its own or have a consciousness to engage in critical thinking besides computing data as lightening rates...we already have computers for that. Since when was desensitizing yourself from reality is a good thing? It's not and the shows on Sci-Fi blows.

  • that whole access denied thing is pissing me off. doing it once was enough. wtf guy

  • Ever play a FPS game like Call of Duty Black Ops? Ever wonder what people are talking about when they complain about "hax"? That's what transhumanism want's to do except IRL. Using technology to augment personal ablity.

In the game, you can 100% hit someones head at any distance, in any condition, with a simple key press using hax. Where the same skill could take decades of training to achieve similar levels of competency.

It's the concept of understanding esclation has a hard limit.

  • @TheLifePerfect Thanks mate :)

  • Transhumanist,= become superior human beings.... today a human brain only uses 9% of it..... extract the pineal gland enzyme and inyect it in several areas of the brain, this substance will act like stem cells .

  • Potential intelligence, is actualized the more investigation the intelligent awareness knows about itself, and how it can create computation devices similar to its own mind. In that potential intelligence that exists, there must be a possibility where intelligence can actualize an ability to make miniature universes of its own, where programs can be run that think of themselves in the same fashion as the consciousness existing "outside" the machine.

  • There are pieces of a documentary in here. The narator has an english accent.

    What is the documentary?

  • Transhumanism is indeed the way foward and people are way way way too negative about it labelling it as unrealistic. It is very realisitic. If you knew the advances in science at the moment you would realise it. In 5-10 years everybody will have artificial hearts, livers, kidneys you name it. Think what it will be like in 15-20 years and then in 20-30 years. You will no longer need a body to live life. Your brain and consciousness will be stored in a virtual world.

  • Magik 11!!:11!! ^* yi man know your ki

  • Nick Bostrom, show the way.

  • nice symbolism u cunt

  • @GeoOneloveHipHop Thx dickhead!

  • @particleion lol, funny shit. peace

  • @particleion So what happens if the people on the inside of one of these constructs managed to somehow get a glimpse of the programming of their own virtual universe? If they were to use that knowledge what might the result look like?

  • @particleion I agree cock face!

  • I suppose these external life forms would have had to evolve without ethics.

  • many things changed over time. most of what we experience in America is a product of industrialism and capitalism.it's hard to imagine any kind of utopia when certain things are seen as "neccesary evils". example:the thought that "there must be winners and losers, and certainly not everyone can be a winner" it's boom and bust, boom and bust. I think it's true that desire is the cause of pain - loosely quoting Buddha.. (not a buddhist)

  • @2010cynic for some reason, there seems to come a time when order is deemed necessary (got it this time). why? I feel we all have potential to do amazing things, but on what and who's scale of amazingness(?)/significance/importance? it's hard to imagine assigning value to things on our own, when things have names and values given. what an individual believes is hard to discern from that derived from personal experience and interaction with others.

  • @2010cynic I would also think that an entire movement that "worked out" favorably for those involved would eventually show its faults. so, do we make the best of things? unpack our bags? I say NO. Life is very short compared to the span of time, so why waste it on any specific ideology? There cannot be true "anarchy". If nothing has value, then what of anarchy? : imagine everyone is an anarchist....do we all stand still? no ownership, no law...no imagination? no opinions? governed by desire?

  • @2010cynic and about GOD. more specifically, any "faith".How powerful is faith, if it can't exist without us? wouldn't that mean God only "exists" because we do? what, but a concious being could even acknowledge God?and the God from the Bible...what's the deal.He can make a mountain so heavy he can't lift it,and we get a book?!so, people pray to a being that created us. why? so we knew he was there?! The pen IS mightier than the sword, because it took only a book to convince millions he exists.

  • I think this is some kind of hologram we are in and that we may only exist in a small pocket of this universe.

  • @Thundralight - I think there was some discovery which showed this, or showed that some part of our universe is in fact a hologram, i be damned if i can remember what the paper was, it was a real breakthrough in any case.

  • and GOD created man in his image

  • @Thundralight "god" is a superomistic reflection of what a man could be if he pushes to the limit his inner strength. Think about Prometheus

  • @RobertaIBetti NO we are a reflection of God an image but without morals and purity of heart this knowledge could be used for unspeakable evil. Also things we have not even forseen. Many type insects are vanishiing due to gene nic engineering of foods like making fruit with built in pesticides. I think they need to consider these things instead of just doing it to see what happens

  • @Thundralight It is obvious to me (and to many of us, luckily) that atheists are not necessarily all "incarnation of evil". Plus, we love enjoying the good side of our nature (thus, loving each other here on Earth reflecting the beautiness and kindness of Cosmos) without expecting anything from an imaginary sky puppet.Every Transhumanist is (at least should be) aware of this. We don't want to harm the planet, just improve things between all of us and live for the pleasure of discovering anything

  • @RobertaIBetti - Speak for yourself. Personally i can't stand the place. Too many wishy washy people talking about love, beauty and kindness....

  • @TheSpankymonkey I'm not talking about commonplaces ("hey, let's hold our hands and act like we're brothers, forget being rude to others"), surely you've been listening to the same lame debates about superficial politeness for years. Instead of complaining, it's better change little by little the way we care about our future.

  • access denied bitcch!!

  • Wow this guys voice is not made for voice-over.

  • Interesting. LOL Can't believe you used Bob as a spokes person hehehahh!

  • if we are living in a simulation then the simulation that created us was itself created by another simulation and so on...

One day we will create simulations that we will be the gods of.

  • god is the programmer, belive in god, your self is not the god, every existsance has sequence o

  • this video + lsd = FUCK NO.

  • Your voice killed this video.

  • The internet will become Ai theres no stopping it. ????????

  • isnt it weird that we are willing to forsake our third dimension for more than half of our day.

  • Think about what is "success" really? And what is "value"? I think that success is to feel fulfilled. And value is anything that you believe to give fulfillment. Fulfillment=Feel good=Good self-esteem. Good self-esteem doesn't need fancy cars. It's good to ponder on this...

  • Quite a small amount of actual material and too much transitional animation. But fun speculations, where they are found. I would've loved to see more on the simulation hypothesis.

  • Weird. This is what some fanatical Christians would call the gravest sin - abandoning the idea of God in favor of the notion that human beings are God.

This is classic stuff. Our arrogance will be our ultimate downfall.

  • Little bit of advice for the speaker. Make sure you're well rehearsed before a video so that you don't sound so stiff.

  • what is this mumbo jumbo shit? waste of my damn time.

  • The question is, How Does our Brain construct a thought, or construct our perception. Obviously, if we were successfully connected to an artificial heart & lung MACHINE, we would continue to think, feel and get hungry. I think all future thinking computers must also have to SHIT before we say they are a PERSON.

  • @listen2meokidoki the brain is running on a biological software, that nature has spent billions of years creating and perfecting, hower i am not implying that its is perfect as nothing is and can always be further exponentionalised. a computer. our brains are bilogical computers, and the organs are used to clean and provide energy to the braind. an 'artificial brain', a computer is not nessesarily artificial, simply a different form of energy and information storage.

    plugging an electronic int

  • @LouisMcG123continued...into the mains would be no different to our brains and bodys recieving nutrients from the food and water we consume. computers dont have to be people, because people. are.computers

  • My mother said her father objected to her & her 10 siblings having comic books. He said they will corrupt their minds. Seems he was some prophet. Obviously reality is the only real thing. Such as an actual drink of coca cola. The mind has an uncanny ability to know, in the real world when we face danger. GOocrash your car into a convenient TREE. Obviously you can not. Once computers become powerful enough to think as we do, a possibility, they will because their nural network works as ours.

  • @listen2meokidoki They will never think as we do. We may create brains that cann think for us, but we will never create a conciousness, let alone, a piece of equipement that will bind it to our physical world

  • @Shakmastershake An argument for the existence of the soul?

  • @GodofCider mhm

  • @Shakmastershake But...the 'soul' doesn't exist, in the literal sense. Why do you say it does?

  • @GodofCider its a mind thing, It doesn't exist physically. But it is there

  • @Shakmastershake If it doesn't physically exist. Then it does not exist; if you are going to counter that statement with: "well thoughts do not physically exist, but they are real." Then I will point out right now, that everything that exists, does so in the physical sense. Ones thoughts physically exist in/between the synapses and neurons, within ones brain. If this were not the case, then brain damage would have no impact upon ones ability to think. Which obviously isn't the case.

  • @GodofCider I understand that, but were not trying to the along the lines of science here. Mind isn't brain but mind needs brain. A brain, in my opinion, is just a recepticle that binds your mind to the physical world. I'm gunna say that if something external of the universe, created the universe, it was meant to look and seem as if it hadn't. And also, it may be that certain things aren't meant to be proved right or wrong. Just a thought

  • @Shakmastershake You're just dancing around with words; it's akin to saying that Dan is of the city, but he didn't come from the city. There is nothing to support what you are claiming, is there? And there certainly isn't anything to support the existence of the supernatural, and definitely not something as vague as a god. 'meant to look...' FSM reference there? Are you trolling? At any rate...

  • @GodofCider its not about what evidence there is, its what you believe. The mind is a universe in itself. Have you ever heard of astral projection. Thats supernatural and even the cia experimented with it

  • @Shakmastershake Are you saying that if one believes something exists, then it exists? Yes, I have heard of astral projection. It's firmly lodged next to telekinesis, and extrasensory perception; which of course sits in the bin with the supernatural, and other failed ideas. '...the CIA experimented..." Okay?

  • @GodofCider Not just believing but having an understanding of what it might be. My understanding may me complex and outlandish, but no more outlandish than ufo's or ghosts. You can't explain that kinda stuff, theres no evidence, but why does it happen so much. I don't really believe in god, but I believe in conscienceness. I believe something of the mind consciencely created the universe. There would not be any evidence at all. So really I have nothing to prove to you, just something to ponder.

  • @Shakmastershake So your evidence for what you claim, is that there is no evidence for what you claim. Ya, that makes perfect sense.

  • @GodofCider exactly, the easiest way to cover something up. The mind is the most amazing place in the universe, or out of it

  • @Shakmastershake ...are you high?

  • @GodofCider you have no idea

  • @Shakmastershake I'm going to take that as a yes then.

  • @Shakmastershake See what you're doing is bedding down with the unknown. You're uncomfortable with the notion that we're utterly insignificant to the universe. Our universe doesn't care we're here, it isn't capable of caring. The universe is not biocentric; life is product of the universe not vice verse. There is an unlimited number of ways to be ignorant about something, but only one way to be in the know. You place bets on infinity where there is no knowledge or understanding, only obfuscation

  • @Xeletoph well obviously its the unknown or rather unknowable. I mean, when you achieve astral projection, you realize that your mind can leave your body, because the mind is what designs the concepts and rules of the universe. We all might be part of the same mind system. The whole piont is that were either in a reality simulated by machines, or a reality simulated by a higher conscience within yourself, which then would make it not simulated because its real.

  • @Shakmastershake There is no astral projection because there's nothing to project and nowhere to project too. I know the ins and outs of the practice because I was OBSESSED with the occult for over half my life. I never saw anything more then an over active and eager imagination. Strive to come to the same realization.

The universe is not designed intelligently. The standard model says it's always existed in one fashion or another, and was not created. Period.

  • @Xeletoph not to argue, nor start an argument, but a few friends and I (four of us total) were at a rest stop. we were parked, facing the highway. anyway, I saw something that started along the shoulder and disappeared as it came to a large tree in the ditch. as it was happening, I could only mutter the words" do yo guys see that?" "yeah, wtf is that"? hard to explain, but was "glowing",transparent. It was not just a sight, but an experience. like it was there because we were looking. was unreal

  • @2010cynic and I know this may diminish my credibillity, but I am a skeptic. I explain away all of my wife's supposed what "a ghost did" situations. I have been present for a couple. example: an envelope sitting on her end table suddenly shot across and off the end table. I said it was either some kind of discharge, or that something else fell and hit it. it was barely touching a lamp with nothing next to it. I always look for logical explainations for those occurances. verdict: not a ghost.

  • @2010cynic my experience, on the otherhand....I don't know what else to call it, except for some kind of "imprint" like it was a replay of a past event. still gives me the chills.

  • @Shakmastershake UFOs aren't outlandish, as creatures from other worlds or even other dimensional layers are scientifically supported. Yeah, astrophysicists have pretty much determined that our universe is actually a multiverse.

Earlier you mentioned mind/brain dualism. Dude, the mind is not separate from the brain - the mind is a PRODUCT of the brain. When you get brain damaged, and suffer sensory loss you don't get a spiritual replacement - you go deaf, or blind, or paralyzed, and that's it!

  • @Xeletoph I understand the multi verse theory. I believe in it aswell. Ufo's to me aren't outlandish, but to someone who doesn't understand the universe, it sounds unimaginable. I just believe that the universe is of intelligent origins, as in that there was conscience before space and stars. The universe is a program created by the mind, and it's perfect. Were here because the universe created us through evolution because it takes time for intelligent beings to form and figure out all the flaws

  • @Shakmastershake If the universe had to be created, then what created the thing that created the universe? And what birthed that thing which is responsible for creating the entity that birthed the universe? See, there's a problem of infinite digression when you believe the universe had to be created. Cause and effect, you don't come to any real answers. Perhaps you have beliefs which are based on presuppositions, but you don't have any actual answers to the big questions in the universe.

  • @Shakmastershake and there is another problem with your belief and that is that it takes time for intelligence to understand the forces which guide us all. This means there had to be biology because intellect is a product of a brain. This means that intellect could not have created the universe because it means that at one time there was nothing and then suddenly there was something. That's plain freakin' magic dude. Unfortunately we know the universe works according to natural laws & NOT magic!

  • @Xeletoph A lot of the "natural laws" used to be magic! ;-P

  • @particleion The natural laws were never magical, only considered to be by primitive people without all the understanding we have earned in the here and now. Just because we regarded those natural laws as magic, does not in any way mean they used to be magical.

  • @Xeletoph and thats why its a belief. I'm not going about telling people this is fact, it's proposition. If you experience conscience on different levels then maybe you'll understand. It would be no more bizzare than believing a god created the universe. Its simply just mind and conscience that gave us a place to go and live. And it's natural that you would repell this idea as anyone else would, which is another great flaw in itself. You really don't know the boundries of your own mind.

  • @Shakmastershake I know about different ways of being conscious. I can dream lucidly; meaning that I can observe two exactly opposite forms of consciousness at the same time. But, there's nothing super natural about it. It's really all about being able to control two forms of brainwaves at once, and it's really not a big deal. I know what BB Knight would like me to think about the boundries of my mind, but I'm not one to let cash cult leaders run my life. What the bleep do we know is nonsense.

  • @Xeletoph you don't even know who I am so how can you call me a cult leader? I don't preach to people and say that i love them. I fuckin hate people. We're a some sort of alien monkey hybrid, and only some of us have the brains to make something. Since you don't indulge in the psychedelics or somewhat believe in a higher conscience, your natural reaction to my words are like most people. You don't believe a word of it, as it's even meant to be believed. It's just another way of perceiving things

  • @Shakmastershake I didn't call you a cult leader. I was refering to BB Knight. You should have googled her before getting all upitty.

You get mad at me for a perceived assumption I made about you and then make one about me? ROFL. Dude! That's not the tea calling the kettle black or anything. If you must know I have experimented in psychedelics and botanical hallucinogens. That's how I know they don't open your mind at all, rather they pervert your brain's biochemistry so you can't trust it.

  • @Xeletoph I doesn't really matter since you are the one who started this with me. I have my belief system, which when explained exactly how it works, it coincides with every know system ie ghosts, ufo's, physics, mind, gods. Literally anything can fit in. Gods don't exsist physically. They exist mentally. Everything exists mentally. Thats why the universe may be a product of a higher conciousness, and we are a product of the universe. But were not the first ones, and we'll never be the last

  • @Shakmastershake If you don't understand the concept of your brain's own simulation software, thern there is A LOT you need to learn about the brain before you can ,with any sort of intellectual honesty, make ANY comments about ethnobotanical hallucinogens. By not understanding that concept, you're saying you don't understand how the brain processes information.

And I'm sorry, but personal experiences are not necessarily true to reality. Things like gods, ghosts, and psychics are anecdotal.

  • @Xeletoph I may not know the mechanics of the brain, but my concept is that its like a computer. Imagin the universe as the internet. Your brain is the computer that keeps your form of conciousness bound to your body. If you have a shitty computer, then your just slow or retarded. I believe the mind creates what we live in and that everything is a representation of emotion. I also believe that the human species is a hybrid of a neandertal and an intelligent alien life form. What do you got?

  • @Shakmastershake The brain is like a computer, but it's not a computer. What I'm about to say is important to know; See, when your senses deliver input to your brain, the information isn't one of high fidelity. Every bit of data it receives is compared to passed experiences; and then what is being perceived is determined. This means the brain runs a 'simulation software program', which may or may not be correct. Your senses, your thoughts can easily fool you; don't trust them.

  • @Shakmastershake Think about all the illusions that play with the senses. You should google the 'hollow face aversion.' which is also known as the rotating hollow mask effect. See, the brain insists that when it sees a face, there has to be a brain and a skull, with eyes ears nose and mouth. If you take a mask and rotate it, even though its hollow on the inside, it doesn't look that way! Visually the face seems to poke outward, as well as revolve the other direction momentarily.

  • @Shakmastershake Come to the realization that what we can perceive is the tiniest slice of the grand scheme of reality. We've also got personal cognitive bias that we have to navigate. Just like when four tenners sing we hear a ghostly fifth voice that seems female, even though that fifth voice is not there! It's important that our views line up with reality and the best way to do that is the application of the scientific method. Only then can we truly expand our minds with real knowledge.

  • @Xeletoph you just like to argue with people on youtube and go completely off topic. Have you made something of your life yet?

  • @Shakmastershake If you can't understand the cross-logic then that's your problem. As for your ad-hominem attack; I'm finished trying to reason with you. Have fun with your little delusions. Maybe one day you'll get lucky, the unicorns and sugar plumb faeries you worship will respond to the thimbles of honey due you offer them every solstice.

    The white coats are coming.

  • @Xeletoph you're not trying to reason with me, you're trying push your logic into my head, but your logic won't compute in my head. Like I asked you before, have you made something of your life yet, cause I have. Pay attention to the movies in the next few years. I have conquered the riches and you have conquered argueing with youtubers. You don't even have an education in all this bullshit anyways, it's all skeptisism. I may be a little psuedo skeptic, but i have no claims, just ideas.

  • @Shakmastershake ok well thers 2 types of simulation theories..the one like in the matrix where we have our real bodies in the real world, but what we actually see and feel is not real...then theres the other kind of simulation where we dotn actually have any real body and only have a conscience wich is in the computer were in.....but i dont get this 2nd theory...cuz how can the characters in a simulation have a conscience?? cuz u know the SIMS and warcraft characters dotn have a conscience....

  • @Shakmastershake I could have a personal experience that there is an invisible gnome living on my shoulder. This experience could be real to me in every way, but would it be true to reality? NO, and our thoughts themselves cannot impact reality. 2 hands working can achieve more then 2000 clasped in prayer. It's been tested. Prayer does nothing; which only makes sense in the context of god being fake, a type of Santa Claus for adults. Religion is part of the matrix, dude. It's not real.

  • @Xeletoph Did I meantion I don't pray to a fucking god. Do you read the comments. And if you see a gnome on your shoulder, its all in your head. When you do acid, you see fucked up shit. I have never done acid, I do shrooms. The trips stays in your head on shrooms. Colours are more vibrant, music becomes intelligent. Religion is so real, but it's just used in the wrong way. I said I believed in intelligent design, not a personal god

  • @Shakmastershake Ghosts aren't real either; sure we detect them but we don't know what they are, not really. Perhaps you have a couple presuppositions lined up in explanation of the phenomenon, but unless/until we can weigh and measure those things then there's no telling what they are. Be honest! If history is any teacher then we should know that most of what we ASSUME about the world is dead wrong and when we mix science and religion we get a muddy concoction that is harmful to people.

  • @Xeletoph its only harmful if you do what scientology may have done. But seriously, why the fuck are you arguing with me about this shit. The whole premis of your arguement is that you want me to admit i'm wrong, when really i'm not wrong. It doesn't necessarily mean i'm right either. Ghost may just be souls that haven't extended beyond they're astral state, or they're is nothing past the astral state and they simply have just not gone to explore other secrets of the mind.

  • @Shakmastershake I understand the long running positive effects that taking psychedelics can have on one. I know them very well. Sure, being all hyped on on shrooms LSD or even DMT, can give you a higher sense of self, make you more introspective but that's not anything you can't do without them as well. Have you spent a couple hours in a sensory dep' tank? By doing so you can have the same kind of vivid hallucinations, w/out taking ANYTHING. Don't underestimate your brains simulation software.

  • @Xeletoph they are not necessarily positive effects. The reset your emotions in different ways. They can actually change you. And a senssory deprivaton tank will cause something similar to astral projection, nothing new. And I don't get how you say 'brains simulation software" I thought the whole point of the arguement is that there isn't anything outside of here. But there is. You just need to think about it right.

  • @Xeletoph magic is a natural law, its called metaphysics, and most of our thoughts cant be pinpointed to a certain area of the brain, their actually coming from a higher self.

  • Comment removed

  • @yayaya24682 Aaahh good old argument from ignorance;)

Listen dude. Just because we don't understand something doesn't mean its metaphysical, magical, miraculous, or divine.

When you concede to the super natural you stop trying to understand the data and start creating bogus beliefs.

The words "higher self" have NO substance. The self you speak of is unobtainable, & cannot be weighed or measured, or detected in any way.

    To paraphrase your logic:

"Welcome to the world of Dungeons and Dragons."

  • Hmmm, that would be cool if Reboot by accident became a fairly accurate representation of the gaming world in 2080.

  • wow nice ps3 background

  • For example, the very essence of intelligence is to act appropriately when a problem is not clearly defined and solutions are not evident. Intelligent human behavior in such situations is based on common sense, accumulated from lived experience. Common sense, however, is not available to computers because of their blindness of abstraction and the intrinsic limitations / of formal operations, and therefore it is impossible to program computers to be intelligent

    - Fritjof Capra, id.

  • A lot of confusion is caused by the fact that computer scientists use words such as intelligence, memory, and language to describe computers, thus implying that these expressions refer to the human phenomena we know well from experience. This is a serious misunderstanding.

    - Fritjof Capra, The Web of Life: A New Scientific Understanding of Living Systems, New York: Anchor Books, 1997

  • WE ARE ALREADY IN COMPUTERS!!

  • @Jacory069 we are computers, inside computers

  • We can go blah blah blah about making computers as smart as us, or a child or as smart as T-Rex no doubt was. But so far no-one has (to my knowledge) shown what a thought is. Though I saw a highly technical thing about it on Wiki. Answer this, & then future Beings can ponder how emotions work in context of Darwinian evolution & how a thinking computer will integrate all that, shit. Rule 1. Computers must shit once a day. Or at least "feel" the relief it gives us. And be humble. Not meek!

  • Uh..I said that lol.

  • @LouisMcG123 life is to divine for that.

  • ACCESS DENIED.

  • Too much Lawnmower Man, other than that but pretty good. Nice list of links.

  • dude, your are reading from a paper.

  • @greenhousestorm I'd rather hear somebody read from a transcript than listen to them stutter and go off on a tangent. The fact that he wrote this all out beforehand just goes to show that he has a lot to say.

  • I was thinking more on this. If our reality really is something like a video game maybe there are cheats? "player.additem money $1,000,000,000"

  • I have written about this possibility on the blog in articles called reality hacking!

  • @particleion If you discover a reality cheat let me know. OF course then again what point would there be for reality if it isn't real anymore? What will happen to me if I cease to exist in the simulation?

  • @saveourinternet This universe, if it is simulated, is simulated at the subatomic level, and it would therefore make sense that there is no sense of personal identity, nor are bank balances stored as individual values. If there *are* cheats, if would require creating the exact particles in the right place, at the right time in the right state, in the order of millions, to change your bank balance. The cheat, if it was written in english, would take probably hundreds of thousends of years to say.

  • @saveourinternet i believe tahts from oblivion?

  • DOes anyone know where that sequence at 1:50 is from? the one that rants about PS9?

  • it was a ps2 commercial from back in the day

  • this is a realy good way to get the idea of of the symulation hypothesis and transhumanist universe

im studying neuroscience and computer engineering and computer software engineering in college and i hope to make a simulated reality with ai as smart as humans in my lifetime

  • i love the GTA splice

  • Great Job!

More people need to understand simulation theory, and I thought comparing it to our current communication technologies and gaming worlds makes the concept more accessible to the unfamiliar.

  • The Universe - Rated [M] for Mature

  • LMAO.... nice! retwit!!

  • technology is awesome.

  • nice video :)

from about 3 mins, is that the voice of david malone? what documentary is that from? thanks particleion

  • man you put alot of work into this video good job nice hard work 5\5

  • NERDS!

  • cause, of guys like... U they doing this, thanks dude...Spread love. 1 lol

  • shut up loser

  • OH MY GOD

maybe my "soul" is the real me just running thru this human simulation.... maybe im playing a life RPG and i just forgot the real me.... maybe "human" is the new WOW or GTA... MIND FUCKING BLOWN????

  • Today we are filthy carbon. Tomorrow we are perfect simulations!

  • The ego compensates for a poor attention span, narrow mindedness and a false sense of security. As cliché as it may sound... wake up. Social structure can answer more questions than produce them, all you have to do is be awake to witness your next chance to change YOUR world. The rest is up to nature.

  • sik

  • nice.funny to watch games develop

  • haha is the beginning woman sound from System Shock 2 Shodan? :D

  • What's with the annoying access denied crap? I don't get the reference if their is one.

  • its from the film, "the lawnmower man."

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • It's like the sims game, only what if this time...I am the sim...YIKES!! Makes me think how lucky my sims are to have me as their creator.

  • This whole "simulation hypothesis" has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. I can tell the difference between what is real and what is fake. Whenever I dream at night, I'm almost always aware that I'm in a dream. To say that all atoms are nothing but programs is insane.

  • not true

    computers will soon become perfect

also, if you have never seen real, then how do you know what reality is really like

  • You know it was a dream once you woke up, I doubt you even knew you were dreaming while you were dreaming. Besides, who says atoms exist? Or does our simulation tell us that when we look in a microscope that we see it.

  • yes, but its unimportant till we wake up;)

  • havent you ever heard the classic saying, "I think, therefor i am."

Its saying, the only thing that can be said with absolute certanty is you as thinking being exists. Everything else cannot be proven to be 100% absolute

  • There are quite a few typos in my previous comments (I wrote them in the "heat" of the moment), sorry.

  • We all know that there is a bigger conscience above us.

If this conscience is bigger, and that's what it his, it is also "controlling" all the ways in which we express ourselves.

    This also includes "virtual
