  • Well I want to play it, but right now I don't know what version I should play ...

  • @RedFlameFox Play it on PC ;D

  • @ninjabianco Considering the fact I don't have a Saturn and my PS1 isn't modded (and now Fighting Force isn't easy to find) of course, just asking what version I should play between these two

  • @RedFlameFox a PC can emulate even a PSX these days.

  • @VariousFor And Saturn too XD

  • I PREFER THE LOOK...

of Hawk in the SOR4 proto for Saturn. I also prefer the traditional perspective for fighting on the lift level too. It looks great!

Oh, and the SOR style energy gauges and names ftw! ;-)

  • So the Saturn version was finished, but never released? It's interesting to see this early prototype, but if the above is true I'd love to see the release candidate version, assuming it still exists.

  • Thank god it wasnt called Streets of Rage 4, this is a decent game, but not worthy of the SOR heritage.

  • @saturndual32 that's what sega thought too and why they got into a fight over this game and sega refused to carry it and core went on all the magazines that saturn couldn't handle the game. idiots

  • Judging from the video, the Saturn version lets you fight 4 bad guys at once many times, while on the PS1 version you only fight 4 at once early in the video, and never again. I guess using the Saturns VDP2 to render the floor allowed it to display more enemies at once more often, and the floors look sharper too.

  • If it was SoR wouldn't it have Axl or Blaze in?

  • @KCwellard Don't forget Adam, Skate, Max & Dr Zan! Also no, not necessarily. It would've been cool to so some classic characters return.

  • The saturn version looks so clear and detailed, and at a smooth rate to boot. Whilst I wasn't that interested in buying this when I saw it in OSSM and Saturn Power, now I think it's a real shame it never saw the light of day.

  • wow. i remember seeing some pics of the saturn version in gamefan magazine quite a few years back.

  • you should have compared it with the n64 version

  • The Saturn version looks better, there's even ZERO texture warping

  • Nice. Make sure you redo this comparison if the full Sega Saturn game, fully completed (unlike the early prototype) but never published, gets leaked any day.

  • saturn version looks better

  • Holy smokes I can't believe the Saturn version looks this good! Almost can't see a difference between the 2 versions! Had this come out on Saturn I would have bought it. Great video as always, keep it up!

  • great dude..

    always wanted to compare them..

is there any playable version ?

  • @cuervorockero on satakore dot com you can find the iso for saturn version

  • Omg I did not know that.

  • wow if this came out on the saturn i would have been sold. and it looks good...

  • seems to take almost twice as long to beat the enemies on the Saturn version aye
