There is no real structures from BM (no riffs, no drumming technique). Yeah it is more gothic than BM. And it reminds me a lot more Sonic Syndicate (I can't bear at all, but we don't care) than Dimmu Borgir, Limbonic Art or even Catamenia (wich is an exemple of the real kind of melodic BM in my opinion).

I think the band has died when Narrenschiff left. His vocals are so unique and the way he uses them shape the band into what we know as Illnath. The new vocalist(Mona Beck).. I mean, I think she just can't "shape" the band as Narrenschiff did.. It's diferent. In my opinion, Illnath was unique. Sadly, as it seems, not anymore :(

Anyway what I'm trying to say is that Narrenschiff separated Illnath from other bands. YOu know that element a band is looking for that sets them apart? Well, that was him, and he is gone now. Arch Enemy would die now, if they lost Angela, but Angela replaced the O.G. Singer who sucked. Illnath regressed, and replaced a good singer with a bad singer.
