I first saw this song performed live in Denver on 3/31/00. It was played incredibly well by Bruce and the E Street band. However I did not fully appreciate it until I saw this song performed live at the Hartford show on 5/8/00. That is when this song finally hit me as to how good it is written and how well it was performed. Max really brought it on this song, especially near the end when he had his "solo". I can still see Max in my mind and hear the song from the concert in May 2000.
